I'm so happy for you dude! I can't wait to see where the channel goes from here. It's cool that you're going to be on the front line of something that's going to change video editing forever!
That's awesome! Runway is such an exciting tool. Just want to say that your "how to work with creative clients" video from a while back has been a huge help to me. Thanks and I look forward to seeing what's next from this channel.
Been watching and following for years now and to see you get all excited about the future of creativity is awesome. Will definitely give a shot once I get a chance.
As a video editor who has only been one for a couple years with a not so good pc for it anymore, I hope this project treats you well and comes to fruition, I've followed you for years and you're a reason I've editing from highschool to the now company I edit for :)
You inspired me to explore my creative side & taught me how to use Adobe Products via your tutorials. Because of you, I’ve found my passion in video editing, worked with a relatively small company to inform youth, & just recently got accepted into Chapman’s Dodge Campus! I’m grateful to have found your channel & thank you for everything you’ve provided us with. Congrats on the new job!! Looking forward to your next works & projects!! :)
For me specifically there's a stigma I cannot get past with online editing. You're always locked into their thing. For instance, online photo editors. You stuck with their tools, their way of doing things and their limitations. And their price. Since everything is monthly those costs start adding up. I like how when on product promotes it does so by putting down another product. Sure, I have to pay a bit for a computer that could handle Premiere and After Effects and Photoshop. But I own the computer. I don't have to pay a monthly or a yearly. If I get fired my computer is still mine, but the monthly will have to be stopped until I can pay them again. So I'm not against online editing, I'm just tired of every single asking me to pay until I tire of it, can't do it or die. Adobe might be expensive, but at least it used to be you bought it and you owned it. I find that far more appealing then being an another bloody monthly. That's just how I feel about it.
Well said, and I completely hear you on that. The unfortunate reality of life these days is 90%+ of companies go with the subscription model, which actually does work well but only if you keep it fairly low in numbers, they really do stack up quickly.
Dude thanks for all the videos, you have developed my skills a ton since I started watching you I honestly feel like I can take this passion and make a career of it one day because of what I learned here. Looking forward to trying out Runway on my next edit.
Most people change occupation at least 5 times in their life.. This sounds like a great move to get them juices squeezed out again. I just finished my last job remodeling loved it but i'm old. Being creative is not easy, you have to love doing it with a mindset inventing new ideas. Tools are your friend be it a hammer or a keystroke. Go visit a art show see what's out there. online ideas are someone else's. Follow your dream not money it will come when you layback close your eyes and get back in touch with who you are. The first idea is the best start, color outside the lines get out of the box & create. We all needed a fresh new look at things ~~ Thank you.
Congrats. I will say that Adobe and everyone else is already working on these types of cloud options but I still prefer a physical application at times when I'm not on internet. Good luck with your new gig!
Great stuff man. will be following you for sure, but only because i trust you. trust is your biggest asset, along with how good you are at explaining stuff :)
I'm very excited for this future in editing, I think as brands expand and people can connect from all over, online editing and virtual work spaces will be a great way to help businesses run faster
I don't even remember when I watched my first of your videos, and have since started going to college for film and vfx bc I picked up the itch to edit. Thank you for helping me and countless others to find a passion that doesn't necessarily require a 9-5. Keep it up and congrats on the new opportunity!
I think it’s great that you are looking to pursue a career where you can create the “aha” moment and inspire people to pursue creative passions in digital art/video when you’ve clearly already done that for so many of us. speaking for myself, you’ve already created many of those moments for me So congrats, and I know that you will find success in inspiring others in the future 🥂
I love this video. Would you be able to make a social media lower thirds in after effects? The way these tutorials look on youtube is horrible and outdated. Pleaseeeeeeee?
So will PP & AE cease to exist once runway is out of beta? What does this mean for full time video editors that are being paid on their expertise in the Adobe creative suite? Also, good luck with you’re new job! 🙏🏻
I want to include all aspects of making the pipeline process a procedural (read: SPEEDY and PROFESSIONAL) process. Taking heavy data sets, throwing it up to to a cloud I don't control or have SOC2 level security is a problem. I do see the insane implications though. I would love to do a heavy dive to see if this is cool to work with.
im new to editing.. how do I get up to speed on runwayml.. you know like that scene in the matrix where trinity needed to learn how to fly that helicopter and she plugged in and BOOM.. :) do you have a coupon to get the yearly creator??
Still miss you over here at TL man! Wanted to say, thanks to your channel I got a gig hosting and producing videos for Opera GX! So currently doing both TL and that at the moment. Your content is literally a godsend. 🙏
@@SquishyMelon420 I know. Those videos are easy to break down super specifically, but what makes his style so unique is everything combined and the way he thinks about the videos creatively. I can teach you how to manipulate audio edits, or roto something in a clever way, but I can't teach that level of thinking creatively so it's super tough to think about doing.
@@LearnHowToEditStuff you have done it already!?😶 Then plz link it. I wonder how a setup of full-time video editor looks like 🤔 *Video idea- Stuff (from devices to mugs) a full-time editor should have*
Hi mate Iooking to connect and join Runway community with you, Do you have an active discord? I went to your linktree and was unable to join? would love to connect
