When my daughter was born, I was really apprehensive about quitting my job. My husband's job makes enough but having that extra money was nice, too. With much prayer I quit that job and have not regretted ever since. Now I babysit my niece and nephew so my daughter gets to play with her cousins and I don't have to miss one moment with my precious baby. God always prepares a way.

This is awesome guys! I love how this is really about happiness & being able to appreciate the little things more by being at home more! I recently decided i wanted to take the biggest risk of all and quit my job for comedy. People think i am insane but what i can tell you is that i am happier than ive ever been and i have inspired so many others to be happier & smile more, and really appreciate life just like you guys are saying in this video!

Omg you guys crack me up so much lol. Ellie enjoy being home with that beautiful baby, it is so rewarding. I was a stay at home of four boys and now I am on my last one who is almost 17. I have a son in the Navy and two in college. Nothing like being a mom and it's even better to be a stay at home mom.

Good choice...I was a stay at home mom too....and I loved it....I don't regret it one bit...the first few yrs are so important...we grew together......she is now 18 yrs old...it really goes by so fast.....enjoy every minute of it...God Bless You....both....

Errmagawd, these Space-Swings, lol... When my kids were little (circa 1989)...I had to wind the crank on the baby swing & it was SOO loud that the poor infant would throw their hands out in a 'Moro' type reflex....& then cry. Aaahh...times have changed, lol...

I have to say I'm not surprised you decided to be a full stay at home mom Ellie! I don't know how you could have gone one day without being home with that precious boy of ya'lls! I am pregnant and I had planned on being a SAHM before I was because that's what worked best for me and my husband as well! I wasn't working beforehand but even if I had been I would have quit as well! I know its a hard job too but so rewarding at the same time! You also have an awesome career that let's you work from home which I think is awesome that you can do not to mention saves you and earns you more money at the same time! I hope being a SAHM/WAHM is lots of fun and you get to do it as long as you want! Good luck on your endeavors!

Hi Ellie and Jared! Here in Czech Republic you can stay home with your baby until they are 3 years old before you go back to work...and you're still getting money. It's so tough in America! I can't imagine to go to work this soon as you guys do. I'm glad you made this decision, all this time with Jackson will be so worth it!:) And if we get more videos - YAY!:)

Ellie, a hair consultant would be awsome! Yep I thought of that bc of my own dilemma. I want to go back to blonde and would totally pay you to do a consult over skype as to where to start with the process. I moved to Montana away from my hair stylist of 10 yrs and im quit traumatized to let anyone touch my hair, what do you think? that swing they use for drug baby's so if they are born with drug addiction they use that it plays music also and my cousin has one, my cousin's sister got her one shes a nurse thats how i know

i have that same natural scowl that jackson has! to this day if I'm concentrating i will scowl and look super angry! in most of my baby pictures (especially until i was 6 months old) I'm making the exact same face as jackson!

Jackson is the cutest baby I've seen since mine was born. lol =) I want another one so bad I can't hardly stand it, but I'm pretty sure that's not in the cards for me.
