I vividly remember the moment in my life when I realized I achieved my goal. I had a friend named Gabe who got me into Muay Thai and the gym. One of the things Gabe told me was “whatever happens to you when you’re in a fight… don’t go down.” I promised him I would never go down. Gabe died in a car accident a few days after he told me that. For an entire year, I trained like hell. I was 16 at the time, and everybody in my gym looked at me like I was insane. Well, I decided to do some full contact heavy sparring with the best fighter at my Muay Thai gym. We had equal physical stats. He had been training for 4 years longer than me though. I held my own for the entire fight, but at the end he caught me in a bad clinch. He kneed me at about 70% power straight to the solar plexus. It hurt so bad that my vision starts going inward, I could barely breathe, and I thought I was gonna go down. But I got out of the clinch, and as I was about to start fighting again the final bell rang. He congratulated me and he said, “I kept kneeing you and the only thing I could thing is ‘why won’t this motherfucker go down’” and it hit me. I stayed true to my word.

The past 6 years have made me realize I’m losing myself. The loving person who I was, was replaced with somthing sub human that just hates it’s all I could do. But since iv been listening to goggins iv been slowly coming back. All my hatred has turned to strength. I run lift and work. I might just try to reenlist. The world is in short supply of people that can walk the walk

For my life all I wanted was to be noticed no matter what and now I just hate the attention, don’t go out unless it’s dark (after 8pm-6am) I lost myself, I miss myself, I loved myself, but David in a way went thru all that trauma and depression and made me realize I deserve better and he’s right, god isn’t being nice cuz this isn’t what he wanted so that’s why everything is bad luck !! ❤❤❤

Lets run the math. you telling me David Goggins, without any fat at all on his body, weighs 202lbs? or roughly 5lbs more than the average man in America, a country known for their obesity levels/crisis? He would have a had a BMI of 40 back then. His base BMI, without any fat at all / or in other words a body fat percentage of 0%, would be 26.5 (already overweight). You can't use the "oh well, he has a lot of muscle" on this one either, because this was back when he was severely overweight without any muscle on his body. He currently, with a lot of muscle mass and a bf% of roughly 10% (eye measurements), weighs 200lbs (or 2lbs more than his alleged body 0% bf) He was probably closer to 60% bf at 300lbs I respect the guy, but this just goes to show no one truly knows their body and everyone has a skewed perspective on their own body, no matter who they are. Like Ronnie Coleman saying he was -0.3% bf at his peak
