@@ikrimahali9008what are you on about, he ain’t hating on anything, David Goggins was in the title and he’s making a valid statement. Honestly David Goggins has done stuff so much tougher than this that the only one who sounds like they are hating is the one who made the title of the video.
@@glenderman2699 man I think we should appreciate him instead of underestimating by saying that david goggins is a type of guy who can do this as a warmup and the people who are saying this cannot even run a 1 mile so that's the whole point
can we all take a second to appreciate not only Isaiah's effort and will power to do this but the cameraman. like to keep up with Isaiah for that long is crazy. what legend! also dang, I could never do this. isaiah props to you and keep up the good work. love you man. ill always support the chanel.
Bro.. this was so inspirational seriously dig your heels in to this goal, when that couch was so comfortable and you did it. You fought. I got chills I threw a chaw in and I'm about to go get a nasty ass run in. 💪💪💪
Same idea than Beau Miles with a different approach ! Very good, mate. I don't think Beau caren't about his speed so much as you did. He focused more on what he would be able to complete during his breaks. I loved both your approaches. Thanks for the video. Thanks for the motivation. Maybe one day, I'll run a 24h or a 12h marathon, that way too.
Followed beau miles for years and as soon as I saw your last video in 'illegal' shoes I saw this and remembered beau miles did this. Glad you discovered him, he's truly inspirational and so grounded salt of the earth kinda guy. Much love.
So much respect to this dude. I can't even fathom the mental fortitude it takes to do something like this. I js got up and ran 2 miles and I can't imagine having to get up in an hour n do that shit again lmao
coming from someone that has ran a marathon i dont want to do this its a different beast letting your muscles hit recovery and pulling it out of recovery including the inability to digest the food and the lack of rem sleep during the challenge this shit would be hard
This is actually a real life Marathon called the BackYard Ultra. In The BackYard Ultra, on the top of the hour, you run 4.167 miles, over 4x the length of this. Leaving an average runner with about 25 minutes of rest before the next hour, more then half their time is on the course. This also means one day, or 24 laps, is 100 miles. The race ends when the last runner remaining runs a full lap. So only one finishes. Easy concept right? You could do that, right? 25 minutes is enough rest. But you aren't beating the top competitor, HARVEY. Harvey Lewis did this for four and half days, or 102 hours, or 102 laps, or 450 miles, without sleeping. Then casually ran to the school he taught at the next day. Good luck doing that.
Ever done goggins 4x4x48 challenge? Did that a couple years ago and it was as brutal. I’m a clydesdale running(weigh anywhere from 200-215) so the 4 miles would take around 40 mins and you would think 3 hours and 20 mins was enough to recover some and it wasn’t. Worst was the night miles and then trying to sleep.
It seems that you made the same mistake as I did when I did the 4x4x48 (4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours), which was to only sleep or at least really rest at night. When that night came around I was so tired and I still had to eat and therefore only got interrupted sleep and not much of it. If I were to do it again I would be better at sleeping/resting during the day as well. Cool video and job well done! :)
This would be easy for David govgins. He ran 240mi in 62 hours. Not only did he not stop, and ran 4 miles every hour instead of 1, he’s awake for longer
that's totally wild! at this stage of my life and fitness journey I have to say, I'm not really interested in doing any sleep deprivation stuff. the benefits and/or negative impacts aren't clear to me (if any)
I will say that keeping that pace is impressive. But sadly I just watched a documentary where it was an actual event except you had to run 4.2 miles on every hour till no one is left. They made it to 101 hours or 420 miles. With at max towards the later hours 15 minutes to eat, rest, relax before having tondo it again. That is probably something Goggins is afraid to do.
Congratulations Isaiah you got a new subscriber in me ! And I was in fear of the police showing during the night runs I know Texas plays no games when it comes to outsiders but maybe I’m wrong anyway congrats!
I actually do this challenge every week except its a marathon over the course of 3 days and it's just the amount I'm walking in my food service job (10 hour shifts, average 8-10 miles a day)
"maybe someone will comment" it is good if your doing for a short amount of time but in some cases it can cause heat intolerance your welcome for the 'safety' advice..... im 11 but smarter than most of my family
My high school mile time was a 6:35, but my potential for doing the mile was under 6 minutes. I decided to hurdles more than distance. It was a mistake. 😢. I will grind back to the gym and see where I’m at and lower down my time.
