Ha! Cool idea matching vocalists to Marmite! LOL It took me a good 20+ years to understand and appreciate King Diamond's vocals! Another good ones to add maybe is Justin Hawkins from The Darkness, and Randy Jackson from Zebra... both quite different and need getting used to...

Justin Hawkins!. Yes. I humbly await your response video Dan. I do like King Diamond, I think I need to hear more of his solo stuff.

I think they should have buried " Over Frozen Moors " as the last track. But I don't think anyone would have the balls to say to him. " Why are singing the song that way? ".🤣🥪🤘

1) King Diamond - I loved his falsetto voice from the moment I first heard Mercyful Fate (Into the Coven was the song). I was young and just getting into metal and my only frame of reference at the time for this sort of voice were the Bee Gees and I thought this sounded like satanic Bee Gees and I thought it fit and sounded delightfully insane and evil. Still love it to this day 2) Bobby "Blitz" Elsworth - I've always loved his slightly punk lyrics and his attitude. His voice and the way he attacks those lyrics are spot on, and his voice is so well preserved to this day 3) Lemmy - Gotta admit, it took me a while to get into his voice and into the music of Motorhead but once I did, there's just no other way to sing these songs, is there? 4) Tom G. Warrior - Always sounded a bit more amateur to me than the first 3, but he does make it unique and varies it. I especially love his more subdued ghoolish voice like on Mesmerized but I'd probably get tired of it if he used it all the time. I'm also one who likes Cold Lake 5) Don't know this other guy I never heard him

Thanks for the detailed response Pascal. Interesting you have " King " at number one, evil " Bee Gees " Love it!. I think Bobbys vocals were better when he was younger on those early albums. But hes not missing many steps now either. Hes Punk n thrash and still can spit venom for sure. Yep Lemmys voice and Motorhead are like hand in glove I have to say. Good also you are giving Tom G some love , very MARMITE his vocals. Nice Ranking Sir!🥪🤘

Cool idea! Fenriz's clean vocals are an acquired taste of sure. Will probably pick up that Coffin Storm at some point. I don't think I have ever heard of Marmite before now. I'm going to see if I can locate some over here. It sounds so gross I have to try it. 😆 Cheers Keith!

If you find some MARMITE use sparingly at first. On a sandwich with Lettuce and cheese is how I like it (and butter). Fenriz I think is a bit out of his comfort zone with this release. 🥪🤘Cheers Scott.

Love Marmite Wasn't happy during Marmageddon. I actually sent Dan some Marmite. I think he liked it. Of the bands you talked about I probably know Motorhead the best. Never minded Lemmys vocals - very distinctive and it matches the music.

Yes! And the Marmite is ALL GONE! I preferred the one you sent me vs the one i bought here... and just like Marmite took me a while to appreciate King Diamond's vocals... and Lemmy, you love it or you hate it... not the best voice.... BUT, i did try to sing his songs in his key once and it ain't easy...

Lol personally I can't stand Marmite or Vegemite. I am a peanut butter fan myself. I have tried my hardest to get into King Diamonds vocals but it just doesn't work for me. I like the music though. I have been a fan of Motorhead and Lemmy ever since I saw the band on The Young Ones back in the 80's. It was my first exposure to the band. I am not big on the earlier Celtic Frost albums but even though it gets so much flack I really enjoy Cold Lake and the follow up. I never get tired of Bobby's gritty vocals. In my opinion they have never put out a bad album. Great idea for a video mate😃🤘

Motorhead on The Young Ones is epic!. Loved it at the time. I have heard a few people praising " Cold Lake " lately, it is a hard one to track down. And was'nt on the recent boxset. I guess its availible to stream. Bobby is quality and sounds menacing on that " Live At Oberhausen " blue-ray. Funny guy as well. Glad you enjoyed the video Nathan mate🥪🤘

@@AttackFromDownunda I wouldn't hold my breath about seeing Cold Lake being re-released, let alone remastered and part of a box set with the other albums. Tom G. Warrior has disowned it. In fact, I saw Celtic Frost live in 2006, and you could meet the band and get stuff signed by them, and I had all my albums ready to sign... my friend told me not to include Cold Lake, because Tom hates it. I said too bad, I'm getting it signed... I get to having my stuff signed, Tom signs my first 3, then gets to Cold Lake... looks up at me with disdain... I raise my shoulders and say "Hey, I like it"... here's what he wrote on it: "THE BIGGEST SHIT EVER RELEASED! TGW 2006" :-) At least he didn't crush it or throw it against the wall :-) I still like it and think it's a cool daring experiment in merging black metal and glam/hair metal :-)

cool to hear some audio - copyright doesnt really hurt , when u get monetised it may affect the earnings.. all my vids are copyright - the last vid had 10 copyrights and one 1 banned territory..russia. but i didnt get a strike, so all good. anyway good video - marmite is ok but vegemite is low calorie !! 😉😉 my vocalist would be john arch from fates warning

I've had one copyright strike because I played some of the " Top Gun " soundtrack. It seems crazy when all we are doing is promoting an artists music. I knew people from my part of the world would get the MARMITE comparison. I do prefer MARMITE myself over VEGEMITE, but thats just me.

Fenriz sings similarly on the 1st two Isengard albums. Scott Jefferys from Confessor has a voice that divides opinion. Lemmy, King Diamond, Blitz and Tom G Warrior are great metal vocalists. The only time Tom G Warriors vocals are a bit mental is on Hellhammer releases.

I think you have to put the time in for some of these vocalists. Many listeners just can't get there heads around it and flat out hate them. We all hear things differently, and I agree they are all great in their own unique way. Cheers for watching and your thoughts.🥪🤘

I tasted some... not sure how to describe it... it fits this episode well as you like it or you dont... took me a few tries (and tips from Steve) to truly appreciate it and learn HOW to eat it (with butter and cheese)... but the taste is... the food that comes to mind is "salty Molasses" if that makes any sense?

Never tried Marmite... I've never liked Fenriz's vocals. He goes so over the top it spunds like he's taking the piss. Never liked King Diamond's vocals either, too high pitched. Lemmy'scvocals have always been great. Especially in the early- mid petiod. Love Tom Warrior's vocals, just fucking great. Bobby Blitz's have always been the sticking point for me regarding enjoying Overkill. I saw recent live footage and they were even worse. Pass. Interesting video Keith!!

Got some good chat going in the comments Dave. Everybody ranks these guys differently or Love or Hates them. My point exactly!. Fenriz did sound a bit Elvis parody for that first song, the rest are'nt so jarring on the ear. Tom G at least trys lots of different vocal ranges and yells, screams. I give him extra credit for that. Rather than just for example sticking to just mid-range all the time. Marmite is very like Haggis I guess. A local thing. Cheers for watching Dave🥪🤘
