Always love Cristian for keeping it real about the meta, decks like Branded Chimera and Centur-ion are scary as hell when you open only engine against them and they are pretty flexible.
Tier list on non engine philosophy would be cool. Like don’t separate hand trap/board breaker but instead look at 3 non engine, 6 non engine, 21 non engine, 15 hand trap/3 board breaker etc. interested to see what math you prioritize right now
Can you please make a video on how to play against specific meta decks with snake eyes? Like for instance how should i end against tenpai, on what i should use my distrubtions etc. Thanks to you we all kind of know standart boards to put but deciding which board is better, how to sequence etc would be super useful for nats and euros. Thank you for every content you put in this channel. I try to grasp all the information available like a sponge.
Salamangreat is a solid tier 2 deck, and it's starters are not mediocre, it has 15 starters if running Terrortop (one more than Snake-Eye), and can easily support 18 hand traps if really wants to or 12-14 and droplets, and has a more oppressive opening board than Snake-Eye thanks to counter trap and access to princess pop full board wipe and up to pop 4 non-targeting depending on how far it can extend, and plays through Nibiru with ease if played correctly, albeit a less oppressive end board if not playing into Nibiru. It's getting more regional/national tops as people are willing to experiment with it, I took 6th at a larger regional with it having to beat out 5 Snake-Eye decks in the process of going x-1-1. It's definitely competitive in the right pilots hands
Awesome content! But I am a bit surprised you are so down on Labrynth, the deck has seemed to pick up steam after getting second at the YCS and the traptrick+back jack build was sort of rediscovered. Three weeks ago I would have agreed with you, but it seems to be getting a good amount of results. Do you think it’s real or could you elaborate on why you think it’s not a good pick? Can you elabora
It has to many issues going 2nd it cannot play enough non-engine, and a lot of the times it does win games it’s because the people that play against it are inexperienced and play poorly, the deck has a terrible match up with the top 10 decks aside from voiceless and tenpai and you have to win the voiceless dice roll and you will still have a hard time, also people are playing ghost belle for melodies that also happen to be really good vs labrynth I just don’t think that deck is a good option and I love labrynth.
@@CristianUrenaYGO Thanks for the detailed reply, I asked because I know you like lab a lot too and I’ve been kinda sad that it’s not really doing it at the moment. And I agree that it gets a lot worse if people know what they are doing. Like, I feel that the back-jack build that just plays max engine and no (almost no) hand traps can high roll sometimes in some matchups even going second. But it’s so swingy. And when that doesn’t happen setting 4 into an established board this format is a very fast way to wonder what I’m doing with my life. Maybe once they hit Snake Eye. Also if you want ideas for other kinds of content i think it would be kind of cool to see how you would build different decks mainly from theory and explain some ideas behind it. Kinda like the tenpai deck with 6 pots
@@DrRockso9 I respectfully do not agree, the dark angel lock is not very good anymore with everyone playing link 1s as well as rivalry being at 1 makes it very inconsistent. Dark law is a powerhouse this format as well as being able to be backed up by the trap as well as DPE and sometimes even plasma. The deck can play through hand traps and boards going 2nd given the right pilot/hand.
Managed to get Top 16 at the South Africa Nationals with the deck honest believe int the right hands the deck will be the best way to play Snake-Eyes in the future
Great content but 1. Get a better microphone, even an iphone would be a lot better, a good microphone is less than 50$ 2.The background music is too loud
