I love how Cynos animation still remains as one of the most badass. He literally summons the Anubis spirit within him and becomes a storm of electro and he looks lowkey evil in burst state

I don't plan to pull for Navia, but seeing her burst animation during the 4.3 live stream literally made me gasp! Like it's incredibly cool as it's so badass while somehow still fitting a more laid back femine appearance. I'm very excited for just how good burst animations are going to keep getting.

As a Diluc Main, I must say that I think his burst animation is one of the best, the way he creates a phoenix with fire seems impressive to me. But... Maybe I see it that way only because I love him since the beginning of the game 😔💘

My favorite part of Lyney's burst is after the cat form, he jumps out with a "Tadaa" it's just so good

Doro never Fails to make me laugh

Furina should have her own tier above S-tier, putting her in A-tier is an absolute crime. The glamour and show that she puts in those few seconds is incredible. Not to mention that she goes from super cute to mean within milliseconds, which displays her as a complex and deep character (that she is)… But also the fact that the world becomes a stage (peppela), and then she just grabs the borders of it and flips it, displays so much power… An absolute S-tier, due to the attached presentation of the character you’ve been lucky to get. I believe Doro just wanted to be contrarian, because it is impossible that Doro doesn’t like what I do… right?

The real childe burst animation should be epic like Foul Legacy transformation

Okay but my favorite thing about Nahida’s burst is that Nahida reminds me of like a caregiver who is sweet to everyone, and her burst for some reason reminds me of the thing above a crib so I think its rlly sweet and wholesome

I initially didn't like Wanderer's that much but honestly, after having played him a while, I dig it a lot. I love when there's a lot of chunky sound effects after the animation too. The most bad ass ones in my opinion are Zhongli, Raiden, Yae Miko, Cyno, Keqing, Dehya, Wanderer and Wriothesley are all chef's kiss amazing, some of them give Final Fantasy X aeon overdrive vibes which I love. I just wish the damage would match the incredible violence of the animation for some of them... *cough* Zhongli Dehya *cough*

I still can't get over Zhongli still trying to say the osmanthus wine line😂

Personally I think Alhaitham’s animation is really cool he deserves higher, when you put him in B tier I was like 😧😟

I'm honestly more excited for the Abyss characters. Imagine them summoning black holes (like Skirk holding that Narwhal), galaxies, dark energy, supernova. I think Abyss characters will be mostly related to outer space.

Idc what yall say. Im biased indeed but i love Wriothesley and Alhaitham's short burst. If there was 3 sec left in abyss, i can just use the burst 💀

This is the first Doro tier list I actually really agree with! Personally, I'd change one or two character's positions but overall, pretty darn good list.

These are always so fun to watch. Scara fan here that is a 24/7 Wanderer main. I agree with Wanderer's burst lacking of...something. The colours are nice, big fan of the swirly black hole, I appreciate the meme-ish "step on you" direction Genshin took, but ever since his banner dropped I can't help but feel like his animation is wacky? He looks a tad bit insane. I would've loved a similar Yae Miko burst, that one is just a masterpiece to look at. I think smooth camera angles is what's missing, just like Doro I'm a sucker for panning animations. However I will say, while fighting in the game ooooh you really get that adrenaline. Either way, he's still our fandango gremlin >:D

Alhaithams burst is a mix of nahida(temple), keqing (sword cuts) and baizhu (the pose)

What i like about Nahida's burst is that it shows how small she is compared to the temple, which to me implies that shes a lot stronger than she looks and she really is

what i love about hu tao's ultimate is that its extremely short, it seems you prefer the longer animation ones wich is fine; but hu tao is just boom ult dont next damage input. so yeah B tier is fine

fun fact: yae mikos burst actually has some lore on it (context kitsune grow a tail every 100 years, she has five in the burst meaning she is 500 up but below 600)

You should do a hsr burst animation tier list too honestly, also maybe your reaction to the free dr. Ratio if you’re still kept up with the game

If you pause a burst, it should be able to give you a good wallpaper at any point. that's what makes a good burst

OMG you should also make the tier list based on another burst videos that's seen from more afar, the characters are stepping on top of the hands of the Anemo God statue in front of the church in Mondstad. that other point of view, and at night time, makes the animations SO MUCH prettier!!! it's so satisfying to watch🥺

What i learned from this video is that I might not have the best choice dps wise but i surely have a great taste for burst animations since all of my characters are S tier burst wise(except furina).

one thing i can say that would def make burst animations look so much better is by adding impact frames to the character.

kazuha burst i love it because in base of the element infused the swirl sound changes, and i agree with Childe burst, he's amazing but when you do his burst doesn't give that sensation of "i'm gonna destroy you" vibe

in ayato's burst you can see the narakumi shrine's reflection on water . only if another friend is in your world though .

I'm the type to overanalyse things if I'm trying to do this kind of tier list, and this is the criteria I came up with: Cohesiveness - how much the burst echoes the character's personality, story, and kit Coolness - how epic the burst is Gravitas - how much weight the burst carries Effectiveness - how well the design language communicates the identity of the burst so for example, tighnari's burst is an immediate D-tier, it satisfies none of the criteria (my boy deserves better). meanwhile, Yoimiya's burst is an arguable S-tier, you know exactly what kind of character she is, it gives a sense of weight, it's pretty darn cool, and it tells you what kind of burst it is. it DOES lose points for the actual burst being more lackluster than the animation lets on, so it could also fall into A-tier for that reason, although you could argue that it's not the animation's fault, the problem lies with the design of her kit itself. it might be difficult to consider the difference between gravitas and coolness, so here's the difference: yelan's burst is cool, but there's no sense of weight to it. meanwhile, tartaglia's burst has weight (the slow-motion drawn arrow, the suspended spinning staff), but it's not very cool. another example is lyney, who has a very cool burst, but lacks weight, and eula, whose burst feels very weighty, but isn't that cool. in my opinion, at least. don't bother arguing in any replies, it's my personal opinion on what the bursts feel like to me, and different people are gonna answer differently especially on the coolness and gravitas criteria.

There is actually more to xiao’s burst. After pressing his burst, when u normal attack with him he leaves afterimages behind which is so cool. No other character does this and the only reason why no one sees it much is because his kit only focuses on plunging. It’s so unfortunate how his normal attacks have such a cool animation effect but is never used. Kinda like how yoimiya’s charged attack is a homing missile but her kit only focuses on normal attacks.

I always agree with doro in most of the things and his "personal" tier list is closest to mine but one little thing tho, albedo burst looks way better with his E on the field, it's kinda like how miko burst animation feels "better" with three extra thunder bolts than one. with E on field, it will likely make him A tier than B, in this list.

I think Albedo's burst shines more when enemies are around (literally). Bc then he spawns a few golden flowers/stars and then it goes ching ching ching ching ching when they explode. Love it

I would've put the vast majority of the chars at least 1 tier down but hands down, if you watch this video you KNOW how much fun you have with the game 3 years in. Love it!
