i spent like 2 weeks on this video plz subscribe Couple things I should also probably say - Deep widow is another monster that gives you insanity (sharko isn't the only one ) - 9:43 the talents are SUPPOSED to be swapped around how did i miss that - This video is entirely my opinion, it's entirely up to you what you wanna use
Was probably worth mentioning that the "blind" flaw can be completely negated by going blindseer, still kinda annoying for the first bit of your progression but still a free boon slot
I beg to differ with autodidact. Lvl6-lvl8 or 9 when using it in trial of one. Also very handy in some situations where you don’t have enough xp in that stat.
@@axelthorpe7708 if you dont have xp, then you cant level up with autodidact, so effectively you are just investing points EARLIER than you would've normally, while not progressing faster (unless in to1)
As a person who tried blind deepbound, dont do it unless you have a friend to babysit you. Couldnt get to erisia cuz i couldnt see where amything was. At least seeing properly when i got blindseer finally was nice.
@@jetrouski76 I thought it would be a free flaw once i got blindseer. Plus it made me play overly safe cuz a 5 foot drop looks the same as a drop to layer 2.
As someone who, as a newish player, decided to run blind flaw for blindseer for shits and giggles, it hurts. On land it’s fine but trying to sail is tortuous. The best part? My first slot was gremor, which not only has a compass but even has some blind resistance. I will say though actually getting the oath and suddenly being able to see after a long of time of just a hazy void around you, that does feel great. It’s like seeing the sun after hours of deepbound wiping
Steadfast is actually kinda bad. If you pick up uh... That one talent that lets you get armor from simply killing things. Its pretty useless since now you just need to get enough armor reduction to allow your armor to last in multiple fights which is really easy to do with most mantras.
People don't pick simple because of the placebo effect, they think it is slowing down their progression when in reality it is barely noticeable and at most it will make getting a point a little bit longer than usual if you aren't farming things that give large amounts of exp.
@@sweettea7123 idk if that is a deepbound issue or what, and you are probably talking about stat training because unless you are farming mudskippers, you should not be getting soft capped at power 5. Simple has only extended my progression by at most 30 minutes and it gives literally no downside once ur maxxed
I use Manic in almost all my builds because I'm always Deepbound and I would say the only time I feel like it really puts me in danger is when I'm in Ancient Rotlands and when fighting the Deep Widow that can give you up to Tier 2 insanity with only 4 hits
@@gocraftergo Not true at all. You don't need any exp to invest your 15 points at Power 20 since you don't power increase afterwards and Trial of One doesn't count towards your exp gain, but if you have autodidact, you can leave 2 powers later than usual.
@@gocraftergo if you have even a slight bit of skill, farming the depths give you an abundance of event exp, which u can use with autoaddict to skip all of 17-20
According to the wiki 🤓 deficient is a flat number and high tempo actually affects it, at low tempo you rgen less at high you regen more, so the tempo bar diffrence was doing smth
The thing with deficient is that when you have high tempo it doesnt do much but if you have a lower amount of tempo the ether regen being slower is VERY noticeable
Couple things to note about packmule: - The 25 food capacity thing mentioned is a bug and happens through buying in bulk at merchants with no food in your inventory, you are still limited to a much lower cap, coming into play when you try to buy or make more of the food item while having any amount in your inventory, and both packmule (boon) and packmule (talent) increase said cap up to, if I remember correctly, 19 total. Not that big of a deal overall, if you just use the bug to bulk buy 25 a pop, but still something worth noting. - Packmule also increases the amount of repair kits you can stack up to 7, which can be nice for depths shenanigans. There might also be other stackable items (that do not stack to 99) affected by this, but I don't know of any personally.
Small note, for most of verse 1, simple was actually bugged and somewhat cut down on grinding time or didnt affect it all that much by changing xp gain in a way that made the soft cap appear much later, yeah, the one that back then you had to do 20 events just to put in one point, im saying this as someone that used simple on almost all my builds from week 1 of verse 1 all the way to now, so personally, I saw it as a top tier from beginning to end, people called me a maniac and I did not care. Tl:Dr : simple was very funny and didn't work as intended for a long time so it was pretty much free boons lmao
Bro i remember i had a built specifically for Duke, I remember doing like 12 Dukes just to get a single investment point after pwr 20, for a while i thought i was bugged
The way you make these videos is incredibly informal and entertaining. PLEASE keep it up I'd love to see you grow and become one of the prominent deep youtubers like Agamatsu and Punchee, two goats in of themselves, keep it up my guy :)
my friend who i introduced to the game complained the game is bad and dogshit because it would not load meanwhile he picked the blind flaw as his new character
does manic give u insanity from everything? or just attacks like sharko roar? bc wiki states All incoming insanity and insanity damage is increased greatly.
Autodidact can be usefull when you're going multiple attunments and you can't get that ONE REQUIRED MANTRA THAT YOU JUST NEED TO GET THESE GOD DAMN THUNDERCALL POINTS BUT NO, BECAUSE OF COURSE THE GAME KNOWS YOU ACTUALLY NEED ANOTHER NON STAR FLAME MANTRA Considering everything said, at least put it in the D tier
Fugitive honestly isnt that bad because most of the guards dont even attack you. It's basically like playing voidwalker, so if you use it with voidwalker it's pretty good. But, you will also get put on voidwalker bounty boards and get hunted so i guess that would be the main downside
The blind talent isn't that bad, it becomes a free point with gremor and/or blindseer. also it can be funny with friends. I give it D or E I think scrapper should be S TIER, It saves so many builds. All the best builds NEED scrapper to make sure they get every talent from min-maxing also btw, primadon and the spider give you insanity in addition to sharko
honestly, coming from someone who's gone carnivore for 99% of their slots, vegeterian shouldn't be in d tier. i have a gremor slot with glutton (since gremor's got more hunger or slower drain i think) and vegeterian and it truly isn't that bad of a flaw or that harrowing or time-wasting. it's very easy to drop by a calabash bush when you're at etris or picking a tree full of redds to gobble them up. early-game it could be an issue, but you *also* get all of your stomach and thirst back upon a power up. only real issue is that the foods take up weight in your inventory. also, i don't think survivalist should be at c tier. i've had many instances where i stay in acid rain or glide in acid rain, and it's especially very useful for running layer 2 since your parasites take less time before they start going crazy, mainly near the beginning before and after you fight bonekeeper. if steadfast is an s tier, i believe survivalist and vegetarian could be bumped up. they're basically nonissues and just awesome to have, much like steadfast, except you don't need to grab an extra card for maximum usage,
If your build contains vegetarian or does not contain carnivore then you should stop playing deepwoken!!! Glutton is basically free flaw that doesn't really matter with carni 🙏
I kinda use Blind for when I make a Blindseer build cuz I'm a Gremor and Gremors suffer less from the Blind flaw due to the Navae's Guidance Innate Talent.
great vid but the packmule hate can't stand. the food increase isn't to 25, it's a +3-5 (I forgot exactly how much) on most items that have a stack limit lass than 99, this is EXTREMELY beneficial to linkstrider builds as it actually allows them to have more than 10 stardust in their inventory, packmule the boon also stacks with pack mule the talent which then gives your food a max stack size of 20 (the 25 is a misconception because buying food at shops can glitch out your max stack until you eat the food)
I've willingly picked blind, I remember the old days very well... over 2 years ago, I stubbornly insisted on progressing only with blind, DAYS LATER, my friend tells me about blindseer, and im like THE GODS HAVE SAVED ME, and yes, i became a blindseer near max level which was 60 back then. everything was a challenge, escaping the depths... BUT ESCAPING THE DEPTHS WAS GOD DAMN EASIER THAN SAILING ANYWHERE, I once sailed off in search of lower erisia... literally by some miracle, I found more than 20 minutes later...
Personally I choose blind whenever im going blindseer so I can go from Trial kill a ministry for blindfold, go to blindseer spot, and bam it beomes a free flaw.
Squimish and haempophilia is the best decision and heres why: i always go for carnivore and i aleays farm mech sharkos which dont proc squimish, this and when you power up you get all your blood, food and thirst back and in lower levels is easy and when im power 15-17 i get carnivore, grand feast and thats it,free flaws not gonna lie
Event exp is not that big a deal, Autodidact deserves at least a C just for making things quicker. Especially if you spawn in the depths, you're never gonna be pressed for event exp
Autodidact is actually really good on Deepbound since on Deepbound you get 2x event exp and you can just spam the points without needing to get the exp of the stat you want to train I personally made so many builds on deepbound and all of them have autodidact, i spent the points every lvl and had practice only on lvl 20 and only when i did no chaser runs lmao for me autodidact is A tier atleast ngl just qol based
Not gonna lie, autoditact adret deepbound vow of thorns was one of the FASTEST progressions i've ever had in deepwoken if not the fastest. Literally only took me 30 minutes to get to level 12 (then i wiped for the build not goign the way i wanted it to) but nonetheless very op. Since i had deepbound + vot, each monste i killed awarded me enough exp to level up, and on each level up I got 6 investment points... you can just imagine how fast it was
i made a pve build on capra autodidact in 3 hours on deepbound without vow of thorns, its also a shrine of order build lol@@demetriushargobungthe3rd372
"obvious is such a good flaw to pick!" my friend says "I use other flaws because i have a build around negating them" my friend also says "Don't worry the corrupted owl wont see you, it didn't see me when i walked past it" my friend says yet again "okay if you say so" i say as i start getting fucking mauled and out duo progression ends
manic under deficient, even if it's in the same tier, is absurd Also, blind is a free flaw if you're going blindseer, but seeing as you can't get oath pre SoO and most builds use SoO, it's still pretty bad. Just thought it'd be worth mentioning
Honestly blind or simple might be the best boons, it you're going blindseer it's a free mask slot and a boon slot, and simple stops being a flaw after you're level 20
fugitive flaw at lost celtor is death sentence not only you get chased by the horrors of deths but now guards too and only way is to ring all the 4 bells like 5 times...
This list comes from a guy that never used anything other than 2 boons/flaws bruh. Aint no way bro said obvious doesnt do much. Enemies dont see me unless im 2 meters away from them and those saw you from like 50. That could be a huge problem if you are trying to run away with low hp and just get chased down by 20 enemies or you are trying to fight one mini boss and 2 more show up outta nowhere. Also vegetarian or not you always need food in deepwoken you cant just not eat if you arent vegan u good?
