Miami, A&M and Nebraska are all consistently overhyped lol. Tennessee and Texas were in there too until they remembered how to play football again two years ago
@@vincentspitzer4364 agreed. remember how texas lost a game and went up a bunch of rankings. jfc. the aggies getting ranked preseason #6 after a 7-5 year was criminal tho then losing to app st. lmao
Your bias against the MAC is awful. Do you even know that the Ohio team you quickly dismissed as below average has won 10 games in each of the last 2 seasons and have won 5 bowls in a row. They also beat Iowa State last year and held that offense you love to 7 points.
It's Cam Rising's 7th season and yes, this season will be his 3rd as a starter. He missed all last season with a knee injury but his two previous starting seasons the Utes were back-to-back Pac-12 Championships. GO UTES!
I understand this is your opinion, but anyone that says they agreed with the decision about keeping FSU out of the playoffs is wrong. Then saying your reasoning is you don’t believe the team would play as hard without Jordan Travis? That’s just incorrect. Was Jordan Travis a hard player to lose, sure, was the team DIFFERENT without him of course. However, consider the trials FSU went through without Jordan Travis and I don’t see how you could think the team wouldn’t play as tough or as well. Those players were playing FOR Jordan Travis, they had t-shirts that said #finishfor13 which was Jordan’s jersey number. Every player was fully fighting for that playoff and to go to the National Championship game. FSU went to the swamp in Gainesville, FL and beat the Gators which everyone always says is tough to do but FSU did it and beat them by 2 scores. Then, because of a cheap hit in the game with the Gators, Tate the QB2 shows concussion symptoms in practice. Gets up to facing Louisville in the ACC Championship and the decision to pull Tate is made. Enter FSU QB3, a kid who hasn’t played hardly any game time and a true redshirt freshman. Goes out in his first ever game in an ACC Championship game and does his best which isn’t that great, but our defense kept Louisville out of their own end-zone. Louisville did not score a single touchdown even with them getting to the 2 yard line and then to the 5 yard line another time. Could another team have done that, played with a 3rd string QB in a conference championship game and still won. FSU was playing with a goal in mind, they were playing hungry REGARDLESS of who was the QB. I would have put FSU’s defense against ANY top 3 team and guaranteed FSU’s defense would absolutely stomp them into the ground. Could FSU have won the National Championship? I think we would have at least gotten to the National Championship game and it definitely wouldn’t have been a blow out against FSU. FSU would fought and fought hard in that game, but they were not even given the respect to prove that even though they proved they could win games without Jordan Travis. It’s never been about “most deserving” because you could argue who is most deserving, you can’t argue with wins and a 12-0 record always beats 11-1 period. Too bad so sad for the SEC teams but let’s face it, ESPN already spilled that dirty secret on live tv. No way was there going to be a playoff without the SEC, #rigged! Not to mention the year Saban retires and his team “magically” gets into the playoffs with a 11-1 record over a 12-0 power 5 conference championship team…under the table dealings. This decision ruined college football because it clearly pin pointed the absolute bias that is the SEC. Seriously, if your team is not SEC guaranteed they will get screwed at one point or another. It’s easy to sit back and agree with the decision when it’s not your team. But just imagine if it was your team…would you still agree? Anyone that says they would is lying. Again, your opinion is your opinion but all this to say that I disagree with it. I’m not trying to start anything, but I won’t ever not fight against this because it’s wrong and there is no defending it.
@@crazydrummer181 so how can you agree it was wrong but still agree with the outcome? That sounds a bit patronizing to me. Also, how do you know it was a better game? Would you like to look in your crystal ball for me and get the lottery numbers that would really help me out. Since you must be able to predict the future with being able to tell what game would have been better or not.
What else do you need from JMU? They have won their division both years but haven’t been eligible for the conference title game. They’re gonna be out firing and looking for the G5 spot in the playoffs, so they should at least be in “solid bowl”
Thank you for respecting Iowa as an overall team and not just the offensive woes. Sick of that being the only talk despite the defense and special teams being an absolute force in the FBS. Honestly with a good offense we have some good 12 Team Playoff potential since the defense never has a weak season.
Oregon is a lock. I think their floor is 2 losses. They are very nearly as loaded as Ohio State, with a better QB and probably a better O-line ... better top-2 receivers in Tez Johnson and Evan Stewart, excellent RBs in Jordan James and Noah Whittington, very good front 7 on D bolstered by Jamaree Caldwell. Excellent DBs headlined by transfer Jabbar Muhammad. Oregon is filled out with yearly top-10 high school classes at this point, top-3 in 2024. There's a lot of talent. I think Oregon will be a 3-point favorite vs Ohio State on Oct 12.
They might be favored in every game next year. UM on the road is the only game right now where they are not. That could change as the season progresses.
Oregon is literally going to be the same team they were last year but playing better competition. They are not a lock to make the playoffs. Schedule is favorable though.
@@MH-0101 Oregon had the best offseason of any team. #3 in transfer grabs and #4 in recruiting. They were 9th in scoring defense and 2nd in scoring offense. The year before that they were 10th in offense and 75th in defense. Dan Lanning has Oregon on a consistent upward direction. OhioSt scored 3 points against Missouri and Michigan lost their coach and all their players. And the big10 wasn't that much better than the pac12 last year. In fact the pac12 had a much better record out of conference and in bowl games.
@@zehsackett6132 Oregon has been on a consistent upward direction for 14 years and hasn't won a national title yet. They have the same problem every year, physicality on the lines of scrimmage, in particular, the defensive line. They may get there but I have yet to see them bringing in the defensive line players they need to make it to the top.
@@MH-0101 14 years of upward trajectory with dispapointing choke games every season. Oregon's choke games under Lanning have been only beating USC by 8 and losing to Washington by 3. You don't see those BS losses to ASU anymore. Oregon was absolutely soft under Crystobal despite the talent. There's a reason everyone wants Lanning and why the analysts have Oregon trending up. Oregon is only getting better
Did everyone forget how Miami’s season ended last year? They lost a bowl game to RUTGERS. Firmly one of the worst P5 schools slipped by Miami. Yet suddenly they’re a contender and Rutgers is average.
Missouri with the easy schedule may be a contender, and many NCST. SMU solid bowl, Rutgers, Nebraska, and West Virginia higher in the average. Those are small gripes on an otherwise great list. Perhaps split up the Power 4, it does get a bit cloudy with All the teams
How is wake a “horrible team” akin to Virginia? Wakes made bowl games 7 out of the last 8 years. Clawsons been at wake 10 years and has made bowl game 7/10 years. Wakes been ranked in the top 25 multiple years in the past 3-4 years. Am I acting like wakes a powerhouse? No. But to just dismiss them shows you don’t actually watch CFB deeply. UVA has one bowl win in the past 18 years dude… Wakes 5/7 in bowls in just the 10 year clawson era
As a Kentucky football fan, I can completely understand being placed in the average category. I however don't understand being placed below Florida, Louisville and Marshall 😂.
Iowa’s Big Ten schedule this year isn’t as bad as it was when first announced. Ohio State is the toughest opponent. Washington and UCLA losing their coaches makes those games a toss up. Iowa State and Wisconsin will be a close games. Otherwise I’d say the rest Iowa should be favored. 7-5 at worst, 10-2 at best. All depends on the offense
@@LordTylerBluGunderson FSU should be good but putting Miami or Florida anywhere in the same sentence as FSU is somebody’s sucking on that hype train a little too much in my opinion
@@nobodyknows9083 Bruh, have you been living under a rock?😂 Miami has been getting TONS of hype. Way more so than Florida and MAYBE even FSU with their recent recruiting class that’s coming in. All Florida teams this year look like they’ll be decently competitive this year except sadly 4 FAU and FIU. UCF and USF are the only solid non-power 5 teams from that state.
As a Notre Dame fan, and the son of both an alumnus (Dad was MBA Class of '76) and an employee (Mom worked in the bookstore and served Joe Montana his Freshman year)... I _hope_ you're right. Notre Dame to me always seems to be at a disadvantage because they just cannot get the top QB prospects (and considering that the three successful NFL QBs that come to mind from Notre Dame were drafted in the third, fourth and fourth rounds, there's history conspiring against them) But it always feels like they're losing one or two games that they _should_ win. But this year, 10 and 2 _would_ get them in. Then they just need to play like there's no tomorrow.
Do you think if South Carolina played Coastal Carolina Vegas would favor Coastal Carolina? I think not but according to your rankings you think Coastal Carolina is the better team.
Cal should be average not below average, They return one of the best Running Backs In the country and They will be better with all the talent they return. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win 7 or 8 games, maybe even 9.
@retstak You won't be the worst team in the acc. You made a bowl game last season, and you guys have done a good job in the portal and return all your top players. There's a chance you only win 6 games, but Cal won't be "below average"
@@LordTylerBluGunderson You realize how depleted they were due to injuries? Everyone deals with injuries, but last year was not normal for any team. Rising returns at QB and he's a terrific QB. We Duck fans know more than most, just how good the Utes are. Plus KW is an excellent coach.
@@jimedick9496 Sure, they were depleted, but that doesn’t mean Utah is going 2 be insane right off the bat. They are a total question mark as of now. They COULD be a potential playoff contender if they somehow turn out 2 be surprisingly decent and if they have a fairly easy schedule, but it’ll take a lot more 2 convince me than just “they’ve been great in the past and they were depleted last year, so they’ll be great again”.
Their QB that won them back 2 back PAC-12 championships is back. He was out with an injury last year. Rising alone should make them very competitive. They’re really not much of a question mark at all. They return all but 3 of their starters on defense. Two safeties and a lineman. Half their starters on offense will be gone, but again, the most important position with QB is back. 3 of their 5 offensive linemen, along with their 2 backups with substantial playing time are back. TE returns. 1 of 3 WR returns. They do lose their RB, though they have a couple of RB’s who have plenty by of experience. Utah should do very well. Plus Kyle Wittingham does more with less on an annual basis. He’s an excellent coach.
I think you're underrating Oklahoma State a little bit. They return 21 starters, and have a favorable schedule. Will likely play in the Big 12 title game again
Bro always hating on Fresno 😂 cooked Purdue week 1 and had a great run. Keene was up and down on injury. If you account injury then yes maybe average but definitely not average man
Dude, Purdue was awful and Arizona State was bad epic bad. Hey get over yourself. They come up short more often than not regardless who is coaching them. I don’t think any Mountain Worst team has a shot legitimately to be good enough for the G5 AQ or an at-large bid this year. But next year or in 26, it be different story depending on the situation in the other more powerful and stronger G5 Conferences in AAC and SBC. The top of the MAC and CUSA will be fighting for a possible bid for the next few years easily unless they join the AAC and SBC.
The circle W has been changed to just academic and they have a Bronco as their athletic logo. As a current student I think it was stupid for them to try to make the W an athletic logo but they’ve atleast remedied it a bit.
i think Rutgers can win 9-10 games next season. Basically everyone is returning on both sides of the ball (yes they still need a good QB). Their schedule is favorable & they’ll be facing most of the B1G West. Keep an eye on RB Kyle Monangai btw. Future NFL star.
Jacksonville State below average 😂😂😂😂 solid bowl at least. You literally threw most of the group of five teams there because you know nothing about the group of five level. What a joke
WVU should be on the same line as Arizona and on the verge on being a Playoff contender. They have all the impact players coming back off a 9 win team!
Kentucky below Florida? Exactly how well has that worked out for the Gators the past 3 seasons? Kentucky is a 7 or 8 win team and the Gators are a 4 win-club at best!
I feel like you go off of feeling instead of facts. It’s frustrating that college football is more subjective then when it should be more objective. You picked some teams based on color scheming of all things.
I know he did not put Oregon that high 😂 also, why is Iowa ahead of Tennessee 😅 why is SMU that high? Why is army ahead of South Carolina? There is a lot more stuff wrong with this list. I’m just saying a very small percent of things This list makes no sense. 😂
Pokes should’ve at least been average. San Diego state has been pretty terrible in football and we had a great year last year. Brought in a great recruit and transfer class this year as well.
Ok here me out, if nc state only loses to Tennessee and wins all the other games going 11-1 or also losing the Clemson game going 10-2. Playing in the acc championship game and losing by a touchdown to fsu, Do we see nc state in the playoff?
Ginger, you gotta' settle on one method, either power ranking or win prediction. Otherwise, your prediction belongs down there with Akron and Kent State.
Happy to see respect on South Alabama's name. Wish the team was more consistent but I was happy we kicked the crap out of Oklahoma State this past season.
Go Hokies! Don't get much love anymore from anyone hope this year is just a little better than last year we are bringing back basically everyone from last year.
How you going to put Tennessee in solid bowl they are a playoff contender and you even put them behind Iowa who they just crushed in the bowl game like come on man
Why did you hype up Tennessee just to put them in solid bowl? They’re better than some of the teams on the playoff contender tier. They have an easy schedule, where they only need to go 10-2 to make it.
Ain't no way you put sdsu above most the mw after they went 4-8 also wyoming deserves to be atleast average after ending up 9-4 with one of those losses being a close game to Texas and beating Texas tech
It's sucks but he would have to rush for 3000 yards just to finish 4th its going to be a Lincoln Riley QB or the best sec player who wins it unfortunately
Arizona lost Judd and some staff followed him to Washington no? I feel putting them as a playoff contender is risky I’d put Mizzo in playoff contender personally
I think the only locks are: OSU, UGA, Texas, & Oregon… I think teams like Ole Miss, FSU, Utah, Penn state, & Bama will be right there as well. I think ND, Michigan, LSU, Clemson, Arizona, KSU & nc state will all have a shot at it as well
@MH-0101 They are returning a majority of their starters. They also brought in QB Dillon Gabriel from the portal to replace Bo Nix. He was a Heisman candidate for the Sooners last year. Oregon lost two games last year by a combined score of 6 points, both to the #2 team in the country. They look like a legitimate top 4 team.
@@MH-0101 You don’t think players improve? Every team that’s won a national championship did it with first year starters? Players improve. They lost to the #2 team in the nation twice, with a combined score of 6 points. That’s the only team they lost to. Oregon killed it in the transfer portal that fills the needs of what was lost, plus they had another stellar recruiting class. Dillion Gabriel looks to duplicate Bo Nix, but with more run option. Those are my reasons as to why they are a top 4 team. Will they end up there? Who knows, that’s why they play. I think OSU, Oregon, Texas, Bama, and Georgia are the top teams. Tennessee could surprise, as well as FSU. Both could sneak into the top 4. Another team that I think could get into the mix is Arizona. People might laugh, but their QB is fun to watch. Ol’ Miss and MIZZU are other teams I think make the top 10.
