NGL brawl stars is very consistently good compare to other supercell games. I've played COC, CR, hayday and bomb beach all of them throughout my life. Currently I only play brawl stars daily and COC occasionally. The dev team for brawl stars is also the best in supercell IMHO.
2019 was so peak, I remember playing so much during that time because I had joined right at the global launch. for some reason I decided to quit at december 2019 right after Bea and Max were added, which was such a mistake. I never played for the entire 2020, I played time to time in 2021, 2022 and 2023 but without actually getting back in the game. just in january 2024 I came back and I realized how much I unfortunately missed! luckily I still have my 2018 account
I have been playing since 2018 and I have star Shelly and I definitely prefer 2024 over 2019 just because it feels like the community and supercell itself are more connected because they are just listening to us. Don't get me wrong I loved 2019 but 2024 is objectively better
2018 was the worst year for the game, i understand the landscape change was important but it almost killed the game. The game also had barely any updates until later in the year. The whole year everyone was just worried if the game was going to die
@@ThatOnefnaffan0 2018 player here, 2024 is better because it has more stuff and because supercell is listening to players. Not to mention the awesome events such as 100 Starr drops, Mutations, Classic brawl etc... This year simply has been more consistent and more fun. I have experienced 2019 and I can confidently say that it was extremely fun but just imagine going back to 2019 and playing the game without Brawl Pass, Knockout, Hot Zone, Brawl Ball as a rotating game mode and 3/4 of the brawlers, star powers and gadgets missing.
@@Kappanius listen to yourself, brawl stars had to bring the old times to make the game better and what did you get from that stardrops, skins pins money and bling, why did it even change star points you could buy mega boxes now getting a brawler over 20 and losing trophies isn't worth it for 15 bling, there is no debate from the release of brawl pass players alr started quitting but it was still acceptable, but now it's just bad, nothing else to say
@@ThatOnefnaffan0that's an awful take dude. 2024 is one if not the best year for brawl stars. In February everyone I know started playing it again, it became popular on social media like RU-vid, tik tok, etc. The amount of active players rn is insane. You're blinded by nostalgia if u think boxes were better than starr drops. And as the other dude said the game overall is more fun, has more different things to do and the dev team listens to their community which is actually very important in terms of keeping the game alive.

2023 was awful. Broken brawler after broken brawler, starr drops were a mistake, this year destroyed f2p playing, mega pig added, brawl pass locked behind a pay wall
honestly Id rank 2019, and 2020 2021 in 1st second and third because they were the best years i cant talk about 2022 and a large half of 2023 since after 2021 i found the game very boring i came back about 4 months ago and i cant say its good but its one of the better years especially since the classic event will be soon so my ranking is 1.2020 2.2021 3.2019 4.2024 5.2018 6.2022 7.2023 8.2017
2:54 when hypercharges were first realesed u could by the collecteres pack for 9600 coins [which is still a lot] or u could go buy it with gems if u had them now the option to buy it with coins is gone but yeah just wanted to point that out

2024 is the best year, people are saying 2019 is the best because of boxes, but in 2024 we have more characters, starr road and starr drops which is much better. Yes i play since 2020 and i prefer starr road
For me too cuz I started playing in Jan 2020 and there were so many cool things being added to the game like the LORE, Brawl pass, unique brawlers, map maker etc. I unfortunately quit in Sept 2020 in season 3 so I couldnt really enjoy the brawlidays update which was also very great
2019 was when I first played, I had like 6 characters then lost interest, basically back when Leon, crow and spike were coveted like crazy and considered OP from what I understood. Really should’ve played more, I started again like 2 months ago and it’s awesome
Fr man getting free 100 starr drops and 5 legendary drops is so awful😓 gambling for boxes just to give ur power points for a brawler u don't even use is so much better
imo ranked is very fun, the main issue with 2024 is that many new brawlers have been very OP and in showdown at a higher elo wintrading is just incredibly big, but other than that it was great

2024 is not the best year. Like you just say free stuff and events. The ranked mode is horrible, the game isn’t competitive anymore, and they are just ruining everything.
You cooked more than gordon ramsay free starrdrops dont give you shit only spray for fucking draco which i dont even have. Ranked if you dont get a skin from thr drops well zippididoodaa better wait next season, then next seasonz then... in power league atleast you had 100% always a reward. Too many collabs tbh, this game aint no fortnite, they cant make a balanced brawler on release. They lock new brawlers behind paywalls, they could just make challenges that you can do in 1 week minimum so nobody gets it early, p2w passes that for 14 dollars give u only 100 gems. I miss 2020, 2019 and early till mid 2021
@@Thefrancymaster1200The star drops are still free, and are not even meant to be the main source of progression, so you complaining abt them is useless. The ranked skins have now become purchasable so even if you don't get it, you can still buy it always (Mothra Eve excluded but it's cuz of the Godzilla event) The free pass actually gives more things than the old (someone did the math alr so you don't have to fight me on that) Game has never been less p2w as brawl boxes were random yet the main way of progression. You could get absolutely no power points for ur main but like 15 for Frank, which what are you gonna do with? Nobody was playing frank at this point. I get that the old is gold philosophy can put people in a bias but don't act like the game is ruined because of it. It's never been better and healthier, and it's only going to get better,at least that's what the hope is.
@@Thefrancymaster1200Don't be blinded by nostalgia though, 2024 is where the game is at the highest peak. The horrible things are the balance of brawlers, and ranked being pretty mid really. The rest is good. What's wrong about collabs though? These are fine actually, the developers can do as many as they want. The new free pass is better than the older one, being both the old pass and the old brawl pass in one, and for free. Also the challenges aren't that bad at all. The early access to broken brawlers are pretty bad though.
