Thanks to both of you. Two generations jamming is awesome. Great guitars and even better chemistry. It's like you two are related or something!!😀😉Thanks guys!
You're a lucky lucky Lucas and I hope you appreciate your life everyday and those around you. It seems it was your dad who probably inspired you to play guitar and you two seem to have a great relationship and how sweet it must be to be able to " go to dads and jam". It was my step dads playing of the guitar that inspired me as a young boy to want to pick up a guitar. I remember all those times of sitting in the stairway at home listening to him playing his guitars at night and man was it beautiful. My step dad and I do not have a good relationship at all, it is a very cold and detached relationship and so obviously the idea of he and I "jamming" is not something that will happen. I was married to a woman for 31 years who could have cared less if I played the guitar. Thankfully now I have a fiance' who truly enjoys listening to me play the guitar and I thank God for that. Your wife, Heather, seems to be very supportive of your guitar playing and she seems to enjoy listening to you, that's a great feeling isn't it? I love that 1985 Gibson with the explorer head stock on it. I sub to the Trogly's guitar show channel here on You Tube and I think maybe I will ask him to do one of his WYRON (Would You Rock Or Not) episodes on that model of the Les Paul. I realize it's a custom model so Gibson only made a few of them. Anyway, Great video man.
Your dad is soooo humble. The best Dad and Son bonding time. Totally awesome. When your dad hears you play the kid comes out of him. He is so happy to hear the guitar play. What backtrack were you and him jamming to?
@@LucasFowler A very rare guitar indeed. Your Dad has been wise to keep his guitars, especially that Aldo Nova Les Paul. Not many of those around, wouldn't be surprised if your Dad started getting offers for it as they are crazy rare.
I've never wanted a Les Paul as much as your Custom Shop Les Paul with the Explorer headstock since I saw your Dads ! I've got 2 Gibson Les Pauls already and 2 Explorers, but something that unique as that blows my mind !!! Already having 30+ guitars , I know that I might have a bit of a problem... But I feel in love with it as soon as I saw it !!
I *really* enjoy these videos with your Dad. It's great to see the bond you guys have. In fact, I'd love to see more videos about your Dad- what's his whole backstory with music, guitars and collecting.. and what was his experience like raising you around guitars and how all that happened
Them some tasty licks! You should do episodes on how to play your favorite riffs, and how to get those classic tones. Your dad looks proud when he hears you play. That's my boy!
The video has a great vibe. Your dad looks like your brother.. And that's a cool place your dad has.. I would love to play all those PRS guitars & amps..
I appreciate the compliment! I can get by OK with it, I've played in my fair share of southern rock bands so slide was kind of a prerequisite. I strive to play slide like Warren Haynes!
Dude, I *LOVE* your dad's shirt! I have the same one, and I've never seen anyone else wearing it - until today. Instant fan! Now, to watch the rest of the video... :-)
Awesome video Lucas, jamming with dad is thumbs up. Hey video idea....post the entire jam session with your dad from this video as its own video. That would be super cool!!!!!
Wow! Amazing gear, great playing. I loved your dads face while he watched you playing. Also, he is one handsome dude! Smart, talented, a good dad, too.
Hahaha as a teenager, I used to hate going places where girls were going to be with my Dad because he killed any chance I had of flirting with them, they were way more interested in him :P
I'm going to have to finish this video later but this makes me happy, i have a 22 yr old son and we have a little family punk band along with my younger brother so seeing you playing with your dad is warming to my heart 👍
After seeing you and your dad in several videos, I am your newest subscriber. It's true, families that play together, stay together. Thank you very much.
Another great vid Lucas! Love it when you have your dad and wife on - seem like really good people. Does the wife play? I think I’ve only heard her sing - Joleen, I really love her voice. Need to have them both on more often - subscribed, watch as many as time allows! Thanks for your show and all the time you put in, always puts a smile on my face!
I rank you and your Dad a 100 as well. Great video ! I love your Dad's basement (cave) I miss not having one of those in Fla. Next segment you guy's need to go over the "ole fella's amps. Looks like he has enough to fill plenty of time, lol. Or you can have the wife rate your Dad's guitars (that would be a hoot). You have been fortunate enough to have a very cool & musical Dad. My Dad was an awesome father too, but never attempted to play anything beside the radio or turntable. He loved music and enjoyed watching me play. I miss him :-( Thnx
So cool that you can jam with your Dad ! If I had 3 wishes, that would be one of them. My Dad only likes music when he's drunk & can't play a note.. What you have is very special....
Cool video, i hate when people say something relatable about RU-vid recommended but i will have to give it to the algorithm this time, this is the kind of video's id like to see.
LUCAS, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, I DIG IT MAN, WHAT A ROOM FULL OF LOVE, I NEED A ROOM LIKE THIS FOR ALL OF MY VINTAGE AMPS AND GUITARS, I HAVE EVERY THING STACKED UP IN MY MUSIC ROOM, - EXTRA BEDROOM LOL, I AM LUCKY THAT I CAN SQEEEEZE IN THERE TO PLAY MY DRUMS, LOL, KEEP THE VIDEOS COMMING, PEACE , KEEP ON ROCKIN, COUSIN FIGEL
Great collection of guitars (I'm sure there are more ... :D ). I have an old Ibanez ST300 with all the "bells and whistles" (active PUs, split-coils, out of phase ... you name it), not in the same top notch condition, though. I sort of guess that the green Eastwood Messenger should be somewhat "neck heavy" due to the sort of shorter body and the position of the upper strap button ... I may be wrong, if Eastwood managed to balance it in one way or another. It's great to watch both you guys jamming. What a wonderful family relationship ! HAVE FUN ! PLAY LOUD !
Really really really cool video, I fucking love the vibe on it. I hope someday I can do this with my son (if I ever have one), cause my father doesn't play the guitar
That 78 Ibanez was siock! That was a 10. Your dad has some sweet guitars🤘That Les Paul had some crazy good tone too. I want to be besties with your dad. We're probably close to the same age too.
Dude! They were all great, but that last prs! Holy rolly polly olly! That dude is noice! In every way too. Super cool look, sounds absolutely amazing! I bet its expensive lol.
I love that guitar. It wasn't terribly expensive when he bought it in 1987, but its worth quite a bit now, especially since its "pre-factory" and is very rare with that paint job.
Nice musician. I had several of that series of Ibanez musician basses in both colors fretted and fretless. The first pair were stolen the first weekend I had them. Replaced them.
Awesome! Lucas, I gotta admit...I love the you and heather dynamic! I am pro heather! That being said, there is just something about seeing "the boys" tear it up in a basement filled with a time capsule of equipment that I cant get enough of and is just real near to my heart! Awesome video, I totally see where u get it from! Your dad is a legend! Amen on this Easter Sunday! P.s. love that funky "Les Ploer" sounds massive! Being that it is a six in line headstock does it help out with the infamous Gibson tuning instability? Gotta assume that maybe that was the intention behind the design...if not why not a flying v headstock which is already 3 per side, ya know?
Your dad is a cool guy man. I wish my dad was into this stuff. That's a really cool relationship you guys have. It's nice to see. More dad I say!!! Really funny when you made the bendy face after he did lol. The les Paul is so cool too man. When you posted the picture of it the other day I was really confused. I could see that guitar being a trogly episode but if it was mine I wouldn't ship it. Why risk it.
Was the guitar tone of Mick Ronson on early to mid 70's Bowie albums "out of phase"? How about the guitar tone on April Wine albums; was that also the same deal? Serious question here.
Like father like son! Great vibes. Very happy to hear you rate my AR300 a 10! It inspires me to play daily. Please do a complete review on the Artist 300 pls
