Bro if you liked DMC 1… try 3. It’s all Dante and does everything DMC 1 did, but expands upon it. The combos that even an average player (like me) can pull off are CRAZY. DMC 1 will always be the OG, but 3 is the GOAT. I wish I could play as Dante all the way through 5… it might be the goat. Can’t stand the button-mashing with V. Easy Triple SSS for everyone!
@@KingCharlieS07 do you need help? I’m assuming you mean the room with the red hand saying you need 45 orbs. The camera can hide a few of them so that first spot may be a bit tedious without prior knowledge to where they are. If you’re stuck on combat then try mixing things up. Alternate between aerial gun combos and the different combos you can do on the ground. Jumping or rolling (aiming down pistols and jumping to either side of Dante will make you roll) can provide a good amount of s, think of it as dark souls in regards to that.
Man if DMC 1 got a remake I think it might be equally good for me as DMC 3 and 5. That game had pretty cool encounters and the vibe is awesome. But as it is now it’s like a 8.4/10.
Absolutely. I don't understand Capcom at all. Why can't they remaster Devil may cry 1,2 and 3, Dino Crisis series and its sequel, Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2?
@@alexmorpheus6762For MvC I can see why they're not touching it since it means they need to talk with Disney about the Marvel characters in the roster and Disney is notorious about keeping their characters to themselves, right after getting Marvel, Disney planned for them only to be on disney exclusive content and stopped doing so cause it didn't pan out well
the 2 things that annoy me in dmc1, the camera, It is an early ps2 Game so im used by now but if i come back after a long time i need to get used to It again, the bigger problem is the auto lock on. PLEASE I WANT TO PUNCH THE RUNE IN THE WALL, STOP LOOKING AT NIGHTMARE BETA.
Same I played DMC2 just cuz I wanted to play what I paid for but I love the HD collection (other than DMC2) and now I'm going for the platinum trophy on dmc1 definitely would recommend to Friends
The HD Collection is really good! In DMC3 it is even the special edition. The game doesn't have any bugs or anything like that. This collection is perfect for DMC fans!
Fr, deserves at least a 5 at a bare minimum and a 7 being charitable and overlooking the glaring issues with the tone and the story...plus the horrible Virgil DLC.
@@Dieci-9idk gamplay wise for sure but i like the characters better in dmc 2 the story to me is also better and dante gets at least some cool lines in dmc 2 dmc reboot really does just have better combat
The story and gameplay weren't actually that bad, it's just for the most part Donte was an insufferable edgy teen, and the dev team threw in jabs at the original like the white wig falling on his head and him saying "Not in a million years." Which was funny, because they ended up adding a DMC3 Dante skin.
@@xTheNameisEthan lol not at all in any account, but I also understand good business sense not to shit where you eat. Game companies need fans far more than fans need companies.
@viewtifuljoe4412 Still doesn't deserve to be placed below the unbalanced and empty trash sequel that tried to flip Dante's whole personality into an ever-serious brooding knob that flipped a rigged coin.
@@oreki9048I feel like the dmc games were just made for the insane combat system they weren’t going to focus on the story too much but I did enjoy dmc5 story a bit
Bro why did you put DMC 5 as “Fatherhood and plot twist ” you could have put just fatherhood. I saw this like an hour ago and still can’t get over that
To give credit to the DMC HD Collection, it literally just up res versions of the main 3 games (Nintendo Switch's version of the game got the better end of the deal cuz you can style switch in that one), while the GTA trilogy is the definitive no
@@caesar888_ the funny thing is people pissed and moaned about hiom not having white hair. Meanwhile his hair turning white is a literal plot point. For me the bigger issue with his design is how ugly his jacket and shirt look. Something like nero's would have looked much better
I get why people didn't like it at the time, since it seemed like they were just going to stop making games with the original timeline, but now that DMC 5 is out I feel like people have to double check the game, because it's enjoyable.
I actually liked the story and combat people bashed it for the character designs. But my lord the Dante that we got was better then the emo crack head Dante we were going to get they were planning on using.
@@conlooka9356it's gameplay mechanics are way above average but barely even stand a change against 3 4 or 5. And everything else other then music sucks.
@@OG_Kurosaki EXACTLY! That's what I did because while I have no issue with his hair like most people, I disliked his coat. People really need to chill out about the redesign
@@theEVOhero94that Ninja Gaiden that came out at the time was actually a somewhat generic hack and slash. HnS kind of didn't leave the PS2, it lost a lot of space to FPS on the PS3/X360, even with good examples, like DMC4, Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising. Maybe that's why DMC4 was so underrated, This was from a genre that at the time was considered dated, repetitive and tired.
@@jestemniewazny7295The game brought the saga to the new generation of consoles, the game itself is very good. I don't understand why it is so underrated.
@@isaiaspaez6870 Well the combat is good I know the story sucks but at least it has a story and decent character. I say decent because DMC2 characters are just bad.
@@Ciffer-1998 nah. That's quite wrong buddy. The gameplay was in great, the bosses was definitely unique. There's Definitely was great story that shouldn't be gloss over. And don't even go there with that *""" focus on guns """* crap excuse card. All DMC games have gun focus stuff in it. So that shouldn't be a problem. It's shouldn't take a damn 6 year old to understand this gem for what it is. Perhaps you blind haters should actually play the game for once and making up suppose *""" problems """* with the game.
DMC was definitely better for casuals atleast all my homies from hs played it on ps3 and when i tried to show them 4 and the rest they all said it was trash lol
Because back then the original DMC community got all ass hurt because DmC was gonna be the new timeline and they were afraid that DMC5 wasn't gonna happen. Even now, some of the community still shits on it although it's a good game for the Devil May Cry series. A lot of people got mad as well because he didn't have his white hair in the beginning and got mad over a rage bait cutscene where DmC Dante said "not in a million years" and threw a white wig off his head. The game takes place in another universe.
@@Son0f-SpardaIt also doesn't help that during interview in the development, the devs were activaly shitting on the old Dante, and basically telling the fans to suck it. It's still a pretty fun game the gameplay is better than 1 and 2, but yeah the devs were not smart in their and kinda ask for the hate.
@@Son0f-Sparda Exactly, the alternate universe dmc game is just a pure master piece! Especially with the limbo world, literally showing how painful it is for a human soul to end up there
@@hunterblane610 Story wasn't well receive actually, the world was interesting especially on the aesthetics, the story itself was a mix bag tough, it has some okay moment, but also had a lot of cringe moment reinforce by the dialogs. That said it's still a much better game than DMC2.
@@KeepRockingTheDragon Fair enough lol. When I first played it, I also didn't have much of a problem with it. Or I didn't realise I did until later. For me, and many others, it just doesn't measure up to DMC3, and even DMC1, which I'd still be willing to play on higher difficulties. But I think we can both agree that DMC2 could use a RE2-style Remake, yes? I'd love to play that.
I didn't quite get it, but Vergil from DmC is bad. he doesn't even have a bit of character that could compare to the REAL Vergil. he's not cool, he's not smart, he's not cold as ice, vergil from reboot sucks.
DMC: WOOOOOOOO!!! DMC2: I mean it's alright like... DMC3: THAT'S WHY HE'S THE GOAT!! THE GOAT!! DMC4: WOOOOOOOO!!! DMC DMC: I mean it's alright like... DMC5: It was perfect, Perfect, everything down to the last minute detail.
@gibramrivera-yv2lo That's the thing, tho, even DMC2 fails in those areas. Difference is where DmC might have been bad in those areas it was still presented in a way that make you remember it or have an impact. DMC2 was just bad and completely forgetful in every aspect.
@@gibramrivera-yv2lo Devil May Cry 2 has garbage EVERYTHING, the one good thing to come from that game is Dantes jacket...the story is a cobled together nothing, the levels are just random assets slapped together, the enemies AI barely functions...like its a shell of a "videogame". DMC: Devil May Cry at least does what it set out to do and is a finished and complete videogame.
@@luigi7781 I'm not saying it a bad game is a great game, but be realistic for how old it is it hold up well. However, when you play it you can feel the clunkiness of the old school tech same with 3
@The guy Cisternino yelled at and I never said you said it was a bad game. And just because the game has clunk, it doesn't take away from it being a 10. OoT is still a 10/10 game, and that came out on an older console.
DmC Devil May Cry It's totally underrated, it's not the reboot we wanted or even needed, but it's far from being a bad game, to be honest the only reason it suffers so much hate is the name, if it weren't Devil May Cry we would have tons of haters asking for a continuation of that hack n slash that was lost in time.
I think as long as you play the Definitive Edition of DMC reboot. It's dang fine game. Honestly after finally playing after the whole series divorced from the time it was released I really enjoyed it, and I think while it has trying too hard energy. Even some of it's story ideas do something better than original. Like giving Dante and Vergil an actual relationship before the 3rd game. The combo flow feels super smooth and it the fox news parody boss battle was like top 5 fight in the series for me.
I just started the DMC reboot and im having a blast with it. So far anyway. I played 5 and enjoyed it but the contrils of the mailine DMC games have always been challenging for me to adapt to, but im very quickly adapting to DMC DmC, and my kno from 5 is rewarded as im somewhat familiar. Im even kinda enjoying the story for what it is. So far anyway, thats the caveat
most people hate it because "it's not dante" and because of the edge. The edge I can agree with, a bit toned down and more fun in Dante's personality would not go unwelcomed. But the people who never shut up about his design piss me off
Dmc Devil May Cry Is Blindly 9/10, i never though i will play Dmc Game Serise, But After I Played That, It Stole My Frickin Hearttttt, It Literally Affected My Study Back In 2022, I Love This Game Whatever You Rank It❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
DmC Devil May Cry was one of my favorite action games on the PS3. Everything was so good, smoothe, seemless, and fluid. Visuals were so cool and the soundtrack by Combichrist? Come on, man! Such a good game.
@@VampireA1056 ikr, it has some cool mechanics that would look good in DMC 3-5, but it's story line is cringe, character design sucks and most of the fights are boring. Also it has no connection to DMC 1's story line except Trish's coin
Im Devil May Cry fans since playing 3rd game. When im heard this franchise will be rebooted it's make me mad. But after im playing the DmC.... woow. Its amazing. The gameplay really good and combat system are awesome. The story is not bad, so i hope they can make more this DmC version in the future. Its can be build like alternative universe from old Devil May Cry
Some DMC are good games like the four and five but the first opus is unfair to be compared with because how great and sexy that game is. The dev put a lot of sincerity and authentic love in it and sadly none of the sequels could never match that again. That is unpopular to say but i find that beside that fun style gameplay, DMC3 is filled with significative amount of flaws. I personally could not deal with that Dante 3d model animation. I dont like the way he walks, runs, jump, shoot in air etc.
@@thewheelofafox yeah, i mean every gameplay sequence in DMC1 is cinematic. Every stars, corridors, garden, room you walk, run, fight in is always greatly artistically displayed mostly dueto its exquisite camera angle and its way to slightly move in or slightly move out depending your moves. When i think to DMC i think to class and sophistication and acknowledging some of the next games could be called great like the 4 wich is generous gameplay wise, none tome reached that exquisite sophistication and classy dancing with deamons thing the first has. 4 is fun and exiting, first is serious and classy, one is beer other is red wine. Dmc3 enemy list is really disappointing and, to me, kill any class possibility. I mean creeps are maybe 30 to % of the show. Happily, the fourth brought back lots of DMC monsters as a fail admition. Cheers
@@anjolaabimbola7978 in a way, yes. Aside the third/fourth/fith astronomical possibilities it can easily seems that way but in another way of quantity not being better than quality, i would say the first only need a airborne sword combo aside the skull breaker.
