Super juniors history is a very complicated and LOOOOONG ONE so I’m going to give you an EXTREMELY SHORT introduction. And yes, this is short. Super Junior debut in 2005 with 12 members with their debut song “Twins/knock out”. The following year another member, Kyuhyun (The maknae who is currently doing his military service and will be discharge on May 7th) was added to the group officially making them 13. 2 more members were added to the sub unit Super Junior -M Zhoumi & Henry. They were supposed to be a part of the main Super Junior group but due to fans protest they were only added to the sub unit (this is a WHOOOOLE OTHER STORY lol). This officially made them 15 members. In 2009 one of the members, hangeng left the group making them 12. In 2010 the first member of Super Junior left to do their military enlistment, officially starting Super Juniors enlistments. Around 2011 a member Kibum went on hiatus for 5-6 years and officially left the group in 2015. Henry officially left in 2017? (I cant remember lol) So currently there are 11 (official members) + zhoumi. 2 members have been on hiatus since 2014 due to certain reasons (again, This is a WHOOOOOLE OTHER STORY). So there are 11 official Super Junior members but only 8 are currently active. Throughout Super Juniors videos you will see certain members and notice other members missing. This is because Super Junior started their military services in 2010 and for the past 9 years have had members come and go. Super Junior fans (ELF) have not seen all the members of Super Junior together for 9 years. Super Junior has only actually promoted as a whole group for 4 years. And this May 7th ( Kyuhyun’s discharge) will finally mark Super Juniors completion with their mandatory military service.

As the title says its super long and it goes by really fast (since theres so much info) so you would have to keep pausing the video to read what it says. Super Junior is the only kpop group that is still openly in touch with their ex members😊💙💖 *friendship goals.* No matter how many struggles they go through, they stay loyal to each other💙💙That's one of the reasons why we are still here and will always be by their side. They are real. Their team work is the best on and off the camera. They are not just idols who were chosen by their company to be in the same group. They really have the strongest bond. And all the other members are just like Heechul. So funny , humble, supportive, friendly, easy going, relatable.. I LOVE THEM.
No Other is the title track of Bonamana repackage album so No Other came out after Bonamana and 10 members were present in both MVs. In No Other, you saw 8 members dancing cuz Kyuhyun was injured at that time and Siwon was busy with his drama and couldnt do the dance with them but both of them were in the MV. If you count again, you'll see that there were 10 members.
Yeah super junior are legendary I love them! They were one of the first Kpop groups I listened to 💕 their most recent songs are “One more time” “lo siento” and “black suit” all bops! 🙌🏻 some of their old tracks that I love that have an MV “Don’t don” “U” “It’s you” and some semi old but still old songs are “spy” “Superman” and then “this is love” and “evanesce”. The last two I listed go in order because their music videos match or tell a story! Super junior are always unique and their b sides are also really good! They have a lot of music since they’ve been at this since 2005! But yeah they’re a great group! If you do have time react to them or watch them on ur own! The member situation legit is complicated to explain 😅 but yeah right now there are only 8 active members heechul,leeteuk,shindong, siwon, donghae, eunhyuk, yesung and ryeowook 💕💕eunhyuk and donghae are in a sub unit called D&E and they just came back song is a bop “danger” anyway thank u for this reaction hope u check them out some more!
Super Junior was originally created to be a "project group" which meant that SM Entertainment originally put the group together with members who had all different talents within the entertainment industry, as well as singing and dancing. The original purpose of the group was for members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.) The original plan was that after SM decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group. (Kind of like how NCT works today.) However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to make Super Junior a "project group" the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans. When Super Junior debuted on Nov. 6, 2005 they had 12 members. However, 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group bringing their total to 13. Three years later they added 2 new members Henry and Zhoumi, who happened to be Chinese members, which gave Super Junior 3 Chinese members and brought the group up to 15 members in total. (Super Junior was the very first Kpop group to have non-Korean members and they were the first group to have a sub-unit that focused on producing songs in Mandarin Chinese for their Chinese audiences.) However, because Korean fans protested and put up a fight, SM Entertainment ended up promising that Henry and Zhoumi would only be included in Super Junior-M, the group's Mandarin sub-unit, and they were not allowed to be a part of the main group. Then in 2010 2 of Super Junior's main group members, one of which was the leader of Super Junior-M, left the group, Kibum and Hangeng which brought their official number of members down to 13 once again. So, technically Super Junior has 11 members + 2 Super Junior-M members =13 However, due to several issues that have happened over the years, plus having 13 members with such a wide age range, means you will see Super Junior's numbers constantly fluctuating in their performances and MVs, depending on when members were serving in the military or away from the group because of sickness or controversy, etc. At the moment there are 8 active members of Super Junior. Two members are on hiatus because of some legal issues and some controversy, one member is currently serving in the militarily -- he is the last of the members to serve in the military and he will be discharged in the next month or so -- and Henry has left SM Entertainment this past year (He left after 10 years when his contract was up to start his own independent record company, but he has not officially left Super Junior, so we still consider him a member,) and Zhoumi has not been able to participate in Super Junior activities for more than 3 years now because he is native Chinese, and like Lay from EXO, because of the issues between the Korean and Chinese government, he is not allowed to work with SM or his members because they are part of a Korean company.
Super Junior originally consisted of 13 members. One member Hangeng left the group and Kibum was/has been on hiatus forever. You'll see a mix match of members due to injuries (Kyuhyun and Heechul) or are just busy with solo activities (Siwon) and also military. Heechul usually doesn't do too much of dancing because he was in a car accident and has two rods in one of his legs. Kyuhyun also almost lost his life in that accident. Jeez you're taking me back lol. They are my OG bias group!
Super Junior became a huge global hit after Sorry Sorry so they decided to have that style of music in their succeeding title tracks for the next 2 yrs. They call it the SJ Funky genre. That's why you see the likeness of Bonamana to Sorry Sorry. That style of music continued up to Mr. Simple. After that, they decided to have a different style of music on their next albums.
Super Junior is amazing I remember waiting for Bonamana and streaming it for hours... It is something you have to be there to love it to death... I love this group a lot, they have 5 of the best vocals in Kpop today... React or listen to their Mamacita with Ryewook in the concert in January of this year it will give you chills. It is amazing.
okay so suju in total had 13 people in the group. 2 members officially left, and now there's 11 members. 2 out of the 11 are inactive currently because of some drama/personal reasons. and 1 member out of the 11 is almost finished with his military service. the other 8 members are currently promoting in the group. there's always a different number of members in their comebacks because they have been going through military service for about 9 years now.
After all the military duty finished.. the active members will be 1. Leeteuk 2. Hee Chul 3. Yesung 4.Shindong 5.Eunhyuk 6.Donghae 7.Siwon 8.Ryewook 9. Kyuhyun So they are complete now.. Non active member 1. Kangin 2. Sungmin
super junior debuted with 12 members in 2005 and it was supposed that members would change and graduate from super junior each year, in 2006 sm added a new member Kyuhyun and they become 13 members in their next cb it was supposed to add new member Henry but ELF went against it and they did buy sm stocks and baned sm from adding any member, Henry and zhoumi were added to Super Junior M A SUBUNIT that has sj some of sj members + these 2 so in total sj is 13+2 members , we did never have 13 boys on stage all together only i think at ss1 stages, the last mv with 13 members was it's you mv , and then 2 left the group to persuade their own dreams , and members started going in and out of army and we lost count on how many members are in each cb sometimes 10-9 and even 7 with losiento and now with the end of their military service next month , they said they are going to be back with full members but the problem is if they meant OT9 or OT11 , we got problem with 2 members who have been on heatus for 4 years bcz one of them was married and the other DIU and korean fans are against their cb and always threaten to boycott any cb if they comeback, in black suit cb the married one was supposed to be with them and started working on the album with the others but when he saw the korean fans reactions he choose to not participate in it .... you see it's still confusing even for us their fans...

@@laurynsneeze3288 yeah in kpop industry history, just Elf (Super Junior's fandom) did that, bought stocks from their fav group company. It was happened bcoz fans really concerned about the company's plans. Super Junior supposed to be a rotational group that there will be graduates system, it means there are members who will be graduating & there will be new members as well. And the fact that the company itself didn't put so much faith in the group bcoz Super Junior was the first ever boyband that have so many members & became the largest boyband at the time (Super Junior is a pioneer of largest boy group that lead SM do with NCT with upgraded formula & others company to make the same formula of their group, you can see now so many groups now have so many members). The company rumored to disband Super Junior if they are not success, the company will disband them bcoz even before they were debut they were accepted so much negativity & critics. After all they were just like experimental group. That's why the fans is really worried & decided to bought stocks of the company so Super Junior won't disband & stopped the rotation system. No more add new members, it means no one in original line will be out of the group (fans were concerned about the members future if they are graduating from the group). And it was worked, the company stopped the plan & make Super Junior as a "fixed" group but the price of it Super Junior struggle a lot (until now) but yeah it's been a long journey they have been survived for more than 14 years from so many things, from members left, fatal car accident, scandal, marriage, long haitus for the group (but still active in the industry individually), military service of the members for 9 years in total but still relevant & break so many records until now & the only group that very active in this industry i mean very active in music, variety show, drama, tour almost at the same time. The official members of Super Junior now is 11 members but the active members are 8 members (you can see it at their latest song), 2 members are on hiatus, and 1 member are still on military service. We expecting them to make a comeback as full team after the maknae discharged from military service on this May.
