I think it's great that when the girls fall from release moves, some of the coaches like Valerie are able to stand them up instead of going down with them, because it also takes the pressure off their back and neck to come down from most release and go pow to your stomach.

It's scary to watch this but I respect all the gymnasts who went through falling and then have the spirit to continue after a fall

OMG! I was there too!!! I want to say it was Montreal 2017. Epke Zonder but it could have been Doha 2018 worlds. After so many worlds and meets they like literally run together but we were in the stands cuz it was mens comp and we, like you did thought oh wow, did he seriously catch one arm? i mainly remember because we were all like omg! ohhh hes so cute! but there you go for a bunch of us middle aged women's coaches!!! lol

ok how funny is it that most of these wer in Montreal! some of our girls said how terrible the lighting was at worlds that year and they were so right!

MyKayla the story of kicking your coach in the face tops mine. Back in my day, most gymnast’s (it seemed) were lefties and of course I was NOT! So I had a coach try to change my take off side and let’s just say I broke her nose. Now it’s more common to be a righty. I can say that coach never worked with me again. Haha 😂 But I heard over and over you are suppose to be the opposite of the hand you write with. I blame it on being ambidextrous.

Your beam routine save is my favorite of all time. The way you grin and just turn it into part of your dance sequence rather than getting disappointed or frustrated shows your great sportsmanship. Not to mention it was a cute move.

I once had a coach who legit wouldn't do anything to save us from falls😂..worst coach ever, constant safety hazards, purposefully making us do skills we were not capable of, and she ended up getting arrested 🤪 we love gymnastics corruption

Mykayla! Fun fact 12:04 is actually my coach! I watch all of sporteverywhere videos so when he pulled up the spotting video I was like “oh you watch them too” and he was like “that’s me” and the realization hit so hard.

Myk, watch the last clip again of the Tkachev - you said they replayed it like 3 times. No, it’s 2 different ones. She did it again, had the same lack of height, and her coach caught her again. Poor girl, hurts her back and her pride.

Sweetie can you please do a episode on Head Injury awarness for these young girls watching your videos. Alot of your friends and teamates have probably gotten SPECT scans. Tony Robbins, Justin Bieber, Greg Louganus have publicly shared the importance of this, to name a few. All the cool kids are doing it. There is no question there is nothing mild about a mild concussion. The consequences can last a lifetime. I highly recomend sharing the dangers of not treating these injuries. I know the hair tutorial is critical but this could save many lives, thank you.

This reminds me of not long before one of the olympics, Aly was doing bars and lost all of her momentum and was just hanging there still. lol. I forget if it was Olympic trials or a competition right before that. I'm sure she doesn't like remembering that, but hey she made the team. lol.
