What I noticed the thing that helps (more than self-help books) is reading memoir or fictional work involving character(s) with anxiety/depression/sensitivity/etc and seeing how they navigate and overcome.

I do agree here. I rarely read psychological books since they're not the most useful

I'd add, "When Panic Attacks" by Dr. David Burns. I (Angela Poch, RPC) use this with my clients all the time. Very successful at reducing and even eliminating anxiety, panic, and worry.

I didn't realize you had a book channel.❤️ I'm so glad I found it.💜 It's nice to watch an Asian woman who has anxiety problems talking about it. It's rarely talked it especially in the Asian community. I'm definitely subscribing to this channel. *Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistake, English skills isn't the greatest*

This video has been so great to watch and I am proud of you too. I experience pretty much everything you touched on, on a daily basis. These are books that I have been eyeing for some time and these reviews have narrowed down which books to start with for my own journey. Thank you!

Another book I like is a simple mindfulness meditation book called "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels. That book in combination with some of these 7 books mentioned make for a great reading routine to cope with anxiety.

My therapist recommended a book called Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach, and I haven’t finished yet but it has been very helpful/hopeful so far. Brach also has a great podcast!

As someone who's struggled with anxiety ever since they were a little kid, I really loved this video and hope you do more like it in the future. I recently read Feeling Good by Dr. David D. Burns, and it's basically all about CBT and the distortions you talked about in the video. He offers a lot of techniques and mental exercises for fighting depression and anxiety though that I thought were super helpful. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I love how real you are about all this. Great insights. I relate to being highly sensitive. Depression is the biggest challenge though. Anxiety is secondary for me.

I am so thankful for this video and I am so proud of you for sharing. I recently started to actually work on my anxiety and depression after letting it control me (especially since the beginning of quarantine) and this was so helpful and reassuring to watch. I have a few books that I was reccomended by my therapist and I am more motivated to read them. I wish you all the best and look forward to more videos like this. 💚

Such a good video idea! Definitely not a topic that’s usually talked about and you give detailed enough reviews for me to decide which book I should look into, if not all. Thank you for opening up and allowing me to accept my challenges as well and know that I am not alone!💙

Thank you for this video. Sooooo helpful. I’ve read many books on anxiety and depression and most made me feel worse! I identify With the stress admiration because I don’t cope as well with stress as my colleagues so I feel a failure. I might get some of these books to help.

I had no idea that you were dealing with this because your videos have shown you out and about and in crowds and you were okay. Just goes to show that you never know what people are dealing with off camera. I understand more now why RU-vid, gaming, and books are some of your joys. I feel ya, girl! I am there with you. I thought when I got older it would all go away, but that apparently isn't how it works >_< We can only do our best. I'm glad you're reading on it and are in therapy. Thank you for this video!

My therapist told me to read 'The Highly Sensitive Person' and I was like "Excuse me? What did you call me?" But I'm actually interested in adding it to my list now! I'm always gifted self-help mental health books cause people seem to think that one book (which they haven't even read themselves) is going to completely change my life lol I've been putting them off just because they are so much work to get through, but your tenacity is inspiring ❤️

I actually would love to see you talk about more self help books- I genuinely cannot stand them (aside from Marie Kondo's book haha) and it would be really fun to see you go through them and experience them vicariously! In general, the tone of any type of self help thing makes me bristle (they're so general, and often kind of cult-y) but it's really interesting to hear your take aways and learn what might actually be worth dipping in to.

A book that cured my depression was this: "Everything Will Be fine, I Promise" by Faouzi Zouhair. It's about life, depression, friendship, love, family and everything that every person goes through. 💙💙💙💙 It reminds us how being vulnerable and how people can make us feel good. The reading is smooth and each chapter is one less node. I really recommend it because it changed my perception of seeing and experiencing the world. I wish anyone who is going through a difficult time to heal. Have faith. this comment is for you. 💚💚💚

Hi Morgan, I just came across your channel looking for good books for fear and anxiety. I love reading so I subbed. 😊Thank you for a very heartfelt and helpful video. May I recommend you read, “Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway” it is currently making a huge difference for me. I love your personality and hearing some of your struggle makes you even more dear to me. 🙏🏼 May you continue to grow and learn and heal while you’re creating such a beautiful life for yourself.

This was a great video! I've become more active in my therapy sessions and I've been wanting to educate myself on my anxiety and help myself solve this puzzle. I also bought a couple of books from amazon. One is a workbook called overcoming shyness and social anxiety and the other is called how to be yourself. I have not looked through either of those yet but hopefully, they will help. Has anyone read those?
