girl i am so glad u dnf powerless bc i was sat for a hot minute wondering what was wrong w me bc i didn’t like it either.. like the characters weren’t giving anything to me and the writing style and the nicknames were throwing me off. maybe it was because i was cultured on cruel prince and shatter me 🤷‍♀️

the cruel prince was AMAAAAZIIINNNNG. that is literally the blue print enemies to lovers and they actually hated each other.

completely agree with you about powerless!! everyone is raving about the banter and the quotes but none of it feels earned at all. like they're all lines that look intriguing in a tiktok but then in the actual scene they fall so flat

I actually liked Powerless a lot, the ending really was such a shock and I loved how the author made it so that it would set up for the next one really smoothly. but I agree that Kai did talk too much.

IM LAUGHINGGGGGG BECAUSE WHY WAS MY EXPERIENCE WITH READING 2ND AND 3RD BOOK OF THIS WOVEN KINGDOM IDENTICALLLL TO YOURS like the pain I suffered every time I flipped the page and it was in kamran's pov... and there was that one stretch in these infinite threads where it was just alizeh's pov for like 3 chapters I was truly celebrating. also u adding Cyrus to ur list of boys at 20:35 is so real.

If you like the "pretend i hate u but secretly im obsessed and you'll find evidence of it" trope I recommend A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid :) it has a very Cardan-Jude moment in it where the fmc finds a sheet of paper with her name repeated dozens of time written by the mmc and similar overall vibe!

no because I had the exact same thoughts for These Infinite Threads! that book had me giggling and kicking my feet. literally finished it in a day. after reading All This Twisted Glory, I liked seeing more of Cyrus’ backstory. Kamran’s been giving me the ick since book 2 ngl 💀

Loved both the first and second book in the Encyclopedia of Faeries. Bride was ok , but more and more I'm seeing Ali Hazelwood always has variations of the same hero. I'm reading Powerless at a snails pace...still not sure if it will be a dnf for me.

powerless is the only book on here i read, and i agree w u. the book was kinda just tropes, copied scenes, and phrases repeated too many times that it was cringey all thrown together. its also really sad that it copies a LOT of things from hunger games and red queen. but it is the authors first book so idk. despite all that i couldnt help but really enjoy it loll😣cuz im not a harsh critic, if i like it book its 5 stars 🤷‍♀️ i rated it 4/5
