My first thought going through chapter 10 and seeing what Theresis' plan seemed to be with the airships and all was "Oh god it's the germans from Hellsing all over again."
Notice in how sad situation Theresa is. A tool for her brother and most of the Kazdel court and a disgusting abomination for others because of how was she resurrected... Confessor says that Theresis reaction to the idea of her resurrection was "vomit inducing" but they did it anyway because she is needed for their plans. While talking with Manfred, Theresa points that back in Kazdel he would never speak to her "so guardely" which means that even her friends don't view her as they used to. 10-18.
I like Mandragora. We saw few times that she actually cares about her own men. She admits and takes the blame when she makes a mistake. And she is loyal to her leader. She is our enemy and she sure got outplayed a lot by more "evil" Sarkaz leaders but I want to see her face again in the story. Something interesting might come from this.
Yeah I really like her and I hope she stays alive, she can even be an operator in the future if she is alive and safe thanks to Misery (but maybe she is a Frostnova 2.0)
Who knows, maybe the next thing after Sarkaz and Theresis will be Dublin again, and then Mandra'll help Reed!... Who knows... Well, only time can tell, we'll cross the Mandra character development bridge once we'll get to it, if we'll get to it that is...
@@cocacolazero1609 That's why Misery said "In her mind, she has met the true death." Mandragora realize that she was betrayed by her leader and that mentally broke her. She now have no purpose in life. So there's a chance that she will join Rhodes Island someday in the future.
Definitely need more of these. Don't get me wrong, I like AK story but damn, it feels like reading a novel each time I get to the good parts. The gameplay. I don't wanna skip it cuz the story is one of the best I've read from a mobile game. So anyways, thanks a lot.
I usually skip the story to clear all the stages first, then taking my time to read back the chapters once I have time (which I usually don't have) :')
Reading the story of chapter 9 up to this chapter, I know that everyone would agree that compared to the enemies like Reunion movement, these new opponents is on a much bigger scale.Heck even Dublinn alone can be a pretty much trouble to Rhodes Island.
True. And I wouldn't be surprised if Dublinn was inspired by the Reunion movement. Plus the fact that Rhodes Island has connection to the Sarkaz might mean they will get less support from other nations. RI is at a huge disadvantage, especially since they're not fighting unskilled revolutionaries anymore, but rather trained soldiers and ex-Victorian soldiers.
so far i like Ch.10 for a couple of reason >Theresis goal and how he will achieve it. it really reminds me of Gundam 00 >Horn is pretty much an embodiment of "local (wo)man too motivated to die" meme. >Siege actually have something to do this time now >a relaxed Chen with Bagpipe is a pair i never knew i wanted >a setup for Chen and Talulah reunion(i think)
It was only after this chapter that I realized Mandragora was Mephisto 2.0, except she wasn't as crazy and her backstory doesn't sound like a 14 yr old trying to write a tragedy.
Sad that the don't give regular, non playable, non-Elite operators an original design. Dylan, and now Balin, need one though cause they deserve being the capable lacky of the group. Also, wasn't the fight between the Sarkaz and Dublinn started when Rockrock and another dude simultaneously fired at one of the members of the Sarkaz and Dublinn? Anyway, reading/watching a summary of an entire event/episode story really helps me put in place many of the details that I need to remember. Also, thank you for literally not spoiling anything beyond episode 10.
Man, when I finished reading the story, the part where Ascalon just easily infiltrated the throne room stayed on my mind for days. She's one badass operator and one where I will definitely save my pulls for her
The resurected Therisa was already super sus but the fact she showed up in a chapter that every second inportand person we meet turns out to be a shapesifter in disguise makes her even more sus.
4:04 I can already tell that is not Dylan. He usually appears with his trusty aircraft. Anyone not in the aircraft is 'not Dylan' unless the game revealed his name.
I hope Mandragora survives, I kinda like that she is getting rekt all the time. But jokes aside, she might give as some important informations, and also Rhodes Island principles are to help infected or people in general. So if it is possible, we should try to save her.
@@kyarumomochi5146 The cutscene cg had Misery standing over her. So I hope she got saved. As much as i hated her in chapter 9 it was hard to see her played like a fiddle by the dublinn and their leader.
I mean Misery is one of RI Elite operators and even if Mandragora is the cause of death of her friend (the sankta from ch9 that fought with Dublin) I'm sure he will save her because is the right thing
@@CrusherKingZ She's not a direct cause, sure she may be an accomplice but she'd get wrecked by Outcast if she'd fight her. And besides, out of all Dublins Mandragora seems to be the most... "mislead"? Sure, she might have her mind made up on killing Victorian nobles for revenge, but i think that considering her current circumstances she will start to seek revenge against Manfred and Dublin leader and get a character development arc to realise that revenge is never worth it.
couple of notes, Londinium is, not Paris, But... Well London. With Victoria being a Franco-British Empire, that was formed after NOT-Napoleon got BTFO'd so hard by Ursus, Leithania, and Victoria in a coalition war that entirety of Gaul ceased to exist on the map after the Battle of Four Emperors, if we read the lore on both the rogue-lite and other background stuff in AK and compared what it implies and compare to some real world history.
Little fact, The train is a Class 55 Deltic pulling mark 3 coaches that used to run London-Scotland services in britain. Nice detail to british railways there.
[Ch 11 spoiler ahead] 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 This is just my thoughts btw, but... 🤔 🤔 🤔 Since Logos is revealed wearing a Leithanien Scholar outfit, does that mean en route to Londinium, he rescued Mudrock and invited her to Rhodes Island, knowing that the Royal Court is looking for a Gargoyle to join them? Sorry for bringing this here. I'm really curious. Anyway, thank you very much for your hard work in reading and making this video!! 🙏🏼
I'd argue Theresis plan is actually the waiting game, he wants the Sarkaz to take to the skies, play the waiting game, have all other nations destroy each other then move in once they're weak. Regardless His main goal is indeed conquest, he wants to pull a Bioshock infinite If you know what I mean (air city destroys everything with superior firepower). His reasoning is quite solid but of course his methods are not hence the need for Rhodes to stop him for more than one reason. At least that's what I understood aka my take on it.
All the way I’m thinking why we didnt just get Ethan to sneak around I know he gets sleepy but he should get a bit of info by just walking in Manticore as well
My guess, Sarkaz are diverse enough that there might be ones proficient at denying stealth. Ethan and Manticore might also not have the mental state for all out war such as this.
@@DemonRaticate Manticore is an assassin and Ethan was part of Reunion. I see the point you making tho, and maybe they didn’t want anyone not directly involved to be included as well. 👍
Yeah… all we know from Manticore is she is an assassin… but according to her files, the extent of her training is unknown. We don’t know if she can handle being in a prolonged assassin squad instead of just getting an order of kill X please. Ethan was part of Reunion, but… he has both stamina and bravery issues. He really doesn’t like war at all and changing colors too fasts can cause him to collapse.
Logos is the ultimate gigachad, I can't wait until we someday he becomes an operator. Though with godly power in lore like that... He better not pull a Skadi on us.
I only imagine that there will be a moment in the story where Reed has to fight her own sister to either save something or someone or to make the Sarkaz army weaker by taking one of thier allies I also imagine that if Reed got hurt by a some dumbass Sarkaz soldier, her sister would just allied with RI and stop being an allie of Sarkaz army So it can go one in two ways one better then ther other
I have a theory as to how Theresis was able to revive Theresa. It's stated that Sarkaz have a very unique connection to originium and their souls (or consciousness or whatever) sort of return to it when they die, and that's why Sarkaz view death as sacred and why they hate it when the Damazti Cluster imitates dead people. This is also the mechanism behind Prophecies. What I'm pretty sure happened is the Confessarii, who actually personally did the resurrecting, have a ritual that basically extracts the soul of a dead Sarkaz from the originium and reinserts in back into their body. This should only work if the body is still capable of functioning, otherwise they'd just die again.
I don't know, man. I woke up as a Pharmaceutical Company VIP with a mission to cure Apocalypse Virus and make the world a better place for the Infected, and suddenly I had to fight: Brotherhood of Nod uprisings in Russia (done) Horus Lupercal(but with hair) and the entirety of his Black Legion Queen Azshara and the entirety of her Naga army Oh, did I mention that I had to live with the fact that I involuntarily & accidentally solved geopolitical socioeconomic problems of various nations on every attempt of going on a vacation? I'm definitely gonna ask Kal'tsit for a raise after this is over....and after she healed up too, of course.
But what about my Manfred x Hoerder ship? By not mentioning their friendship Qaiser didn't do justice to this absolute unit of a gay couple. (I'm just joking of course, who in their right mind would start shipping characters just after hearing that they're friends? Couldn't be me, hahaha-)
Isnt there multiple Elite Ops to hold the Prince of Blood during his chase with Alexandrina? The way i read it, atleast there were 3 guys there, The Banshee, W(the last line with Bomb), and maybe The Babel Assasin(the line with being Theresis' pupil) Also, i cant wait for more... Londonium is boiling pot at the moment, Neo-Reunion, Dublin, The Sarkaz, The Medical Company. And then, there is the Crown too. Oh, and dont forget about the Frickin deal with Shining too. On the other note, going forward i wish that the writer grow a pair, and actually kill some of the characters, because lately no one named died (yea i know, i still sad about the weird Sankta with Hat, but still). Even Mandragora left being uncertain as it is.
I mean a lot of side characters have died. I'm sure others will die too but it's probably a bit too early in the arc to start killing more named characters. Most things that are happening rn feel more like set ups
The only thing I need to know is wtf is going on in Kal'tsit's head why she gave the this special super secret mission to miss Bombastic instead of the literally invisible guys (Manticore and Ethan)
You say that as if W can't do shit. Even if Ethan got to Heidi how would they escape? W was one of the best choices cause of how unpredictable her bombs are, if need be she can be a last line of defense which she was plus her CqC isn't bad either
Although Manticore is undoubtedly a better assassin's, this situation could quickly become a hostage. W is the better choice with her knowledge, experience and name. She could aquire a small army quickly and know what and who she's dealing. She might have lesser combat skills compared to Manti, but overall kal'tsit do give a better choice.
I read through that chapter and was excitedly waiting for your video. I was hoping that you'd mention those military members that joined the fight at the train. It seemed like Dagda knew them, and I wasn't really sure where they came from. Hopefully chapter 11 will expand more on that along with Siege's story/background
well, the event imo looks like Chinese History probably (?) Victoria, throne was vacant. because - victorian was revolting against their aslan royals. killing everyone except Siege. But every other Nobles lead by Dukes and their faction, keep each other in check to maintain status quo - keeping the throne vacant at current time, Duke of Cavendish invite Foreign army of kazdel to occupy Londonium. in our world the Twilight of Ming Dynasty, was also started with Peasant Revolt. all Royals were killed by the rebels and the Last Ming Emperor - Chongzhen and his entorage. Hang himself in Forbiden city to avoid captured by Rebels. One of Generals, Wu Sangui. learn the chaos in the capital after the Dragon Throne was vacant. and in Disdain towards having to serve Rebels and Commoner as his liege. He open the gate at Shanghai Pass, make Allience with the Manchus and Lead Manchurian Army straight into Capital The event lead to Establisment of Qing Dynasty The "Machu" at that time, was also not united as single ethnic/identity, it was coalition of jurchen tribes - with Han, Manchu and Mongols as majority so, There several pararel to that history. imo
Question, if "Theresa" is still alive, does that mean Amiya was not fully the Lord of Fiends during Ch 7, therefore Patriot still escaped fate technically?
Dude I neeeed chapter 11 summarized it’s the only one I haven’t read that I don’t really want to read. It’d be nice to not have to read 12 as well but I actually want to read that one and it’s been a year since this chap 10 video so I’ll take a chapter 11 pleeeaaase! Chapter 13 is just around the corner too!
Theresis is more like Otto von Bismarck to me.... not certain mustache man in WW2... since Kazdel Civil War could be Austria-Prussia war or something else
Wait I thought Amiya was being bred as a body replacement for Theresa but it basically ended with amiya with parts of Theresa and theresa head on a glass life support. was Theresa straigth up Unnalived?
Theresis and Confessarius decided to make a deal with the duke of Londinium if they can enter their forces inside, they know it wouldn't work but it did.
