Natatawa ako sa mga rants at opinions mo, and nag-aagree ako mostly. I agree with your take on the book's editor. Sa tingin ko yun yung kulang sa Philippine Wattpad Literature. EDITING. Kasi ang mga books na pinublish sa ibang bansa, traditional o self-pub man, dumadaan sa masusing proseso ng revisions, line-editing, and beta reads. Bago nila i-publish ang libro talagang sinusuri muna ng mabuti nung writer tsaka editor. Magkatulong sila. Kadalasan nga nirerewrite pa ang manuscript para lang maging maayos. Although may ilang errors pa ring nakakalusot, minimal na lang siya. Now sa Wattpad, hindi yun nangyayari. Kasi most authors, one draft lang ang sinusulat para sa story then diretso upload na sa Wattpad. Line edit tapos okay na. Hindi na nire-revise ang kabuuang plot, ang character development, ang choice of words, ang timeline, etc. Ilang beses na kong nakabasa ng published Wattpad book in its physical copy na may mali-mali pa ring nakasulat. May maling dialogue tag, may run-on sentences, maling grammar, and so on. Kapag titingnan ko naman ang copyright page, may makikita naman akong editor. So napapatanong ako. Kung may editor pala ito, bakit ganito pa rin? Bakit mali-mali pa rin? Hindi ko sinasabi na perfect ang mga libro sa ibang bansa. What I'm saying is, mas systematic yung proseso ng publishing sa kanila. Talagang pinaglalaanan ng mas mahabang panahon. Dito sa atin, hindi. Editing doesn't make a book perfect. Pero it sure does make it a whole lot better. Sana mas mag-focus doon ang mga upcoming writers and editors na rin. Kasi yung mga missed opportunities na binanggit mo... Na mas gaganda ang story kung pinagtuunan lang ng pansin yung mystery cases, kung binigyan ng maayos na character development si Fifteen, kung hindi pinalagpas ang sexual comments ni XV, and kung sa POV ni XV isinulat yung story... Bago ako naging Pop Fiction collector, Psicom collector ako. Madaling masira, tapos inconsistent yung sizes at text font. I remember, bumili ako ng "Seen" by Rhadson Mendoza. Grabe, parang xerox copy lang. Napakalabo ng print. Sa NBS ko pa nabili noong Grade 9 ako. Dapat hindi na nila binenta sa mga Book Store if ganon yung pagkakagawa. Kaya nung na-discover ko yung Pop Fiction. Yun na yung lagi kong binibili. Well, yung previous book nila madaling masira yung cover pero sa mga pages, matibay. Kaya nung naging Matte yung finish nung cover nila, mas nagustuhan ko pa lalo sila. Very disappointed lang ako nung Psicom ang nag-acquire ng rights ng Hell University. I wish Pop Fiction ang nag-publish. HAHAHA
hello po, ate karla! mystery themed din po yung project loki by akosiibarra in wattpad. i enjoyed reading the books (series po ulit, opo hahahaha) kasi napapaisip po talaga ako tsaka magaling din po sa plot twists yung author. fan din po ng mystery (sherlock holmes, detective conan, etc.) kinemerut si kuya cris kaya tingin ko po, yun ang dahilan kung bakit maayos po niyang naeexecute yung details sa libro niya. baka gusto nyo lang din po basahin someday hehehehe yun lang po ◖⚆ᴥ⚆◗

Favorite part ko ng book review mo is yung honesty tsaka facial expressions and reactions mo 😂 Pagnakikita ko siya sa bookstore or feed ko nagagandahan din ako sa cover. I agree ang gwapo. When i read this noong first kiss palang, na off na talaga ko. But i really tried to finish this kasi i want to know why this story so hype 🙈 But i guess this story is not really for me. I finished this because i want to understand the 1st installment sa series before reading another which is hush louder. While reading this noon i was like, "This is fiction, this is fiction" para lang mapagpatuloy ko ang pagbabasa ko 🤣🙈 And i agree with you about labeling ate irshwndy base sa stories. But this actually not applied only on her, many authors kasi nababash agad if there's something off sa story and nadadamay buong pagkatao ng author 😭

I agreed! I mean the POVs part. I wish there's a reasonable balance between the characters narration from their point of view because sometimes that the one who has the most narration ( or screen time ) can be also called as an "unreliable narrator", since you mentioned that there's a lot of details missed in the book because the orbit of the story were mostly focused on Fifteen's POV, also the reason why the story is so convenient. I just wished that there's justice for every characters to have their own POVs so we could have the grasp knowledge of what's goin' on in their minds. But hey, I love the story anyway! ❤️

yes! i recently read tantei high which is a scifi/fantasy mystery and i was so disappointed with how the mystery is handled cuz everything was too convenient and nasosolve na nung mga characters yung mystery before the reader gets there.
😆 sabi nga din ng iba mas okay daw ang Hush Louder kaysa sa KKP. Hindi ko lang alam ano 'yung "okay" sa kanila. 😊 We'll see. 😊 Either way, the book looks good 💜

But i bought this from Psicom Shopee Mall. 😅 So, they are the publisher AND the seller. 🤷🏻♀️ Also, some sellers buy their copies FROM the publishers. The counterfeits I'm talking about are from shops online who illegally copied the whole book and sold the copies online WITHOUT the PSICOM branding. It was a real issue.
