Y’all should check out Percy’s Right Front Leg. At 2:16, Percy seemed to be Limping on his Right Front Leg. At 10:09, he was still limping when he was walking to the water tanks. At 14:54, the Pea-Hen has her Nest in the Corner of the Tractor-Pen. When you moved the Pen, you should have put the eggs back in the Corner and not in the middle of the Pen because She doesn’t recognize that area as her Nest. Probably would have helped to put some feathers in the Corner to make it look more like a Nest. Birds can’t rationalize and adapt to change as easily as us, most of the time.
I love your videos. Keep doing what your doing. Your girl's really like helping you with chores. I watch your husbands videos. Going be exciting to watch you your husband and the girl's work on the new property yall bought.
I could of used a chair like that this week. I had a tree come down in a storm Monday morning and I had to us a hand saw to cut it up and then I had to move it to the curve for the town to pick up and i hurt in places I didn't know existed.
Talk anout timing. I'll be moving in about 2 months. I'm going to get me a lift chair, it will definitely help me as 8m recuperating from a broken Femur and Shattered Kneecap. I'll be checking them out. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Thanks for your videos Brandi. It's great to see you, Dutch and your girls living the life you have created. You said you hope you don't get locked in the Peacock pen. I suggest you get Dutch to adapt the catch so that cannot happen to you or the girls. May save some potemtial drama. Blessings, David from Australia
Read that peahens in captivity need to be provided a nesting wooden box with items that they build their nest with in the wild, in article. Size was in the article. So have Dutch build them one, maybe 2.🦚🦚🦚
❤️I absolutely adore little Lilly, she’s such a smart little thing❤ I think you should go put her eggs in the corner. That way she is more secure with them and doesn’t have to worry about the other peacocks. I’m sure she wants them in the corner.
Hello Brandi, it was fun going around with you and Lili on the daily chores. Those peacocks are going to love their new pen. Have a great weekend. Lisa
Have you thought about putting in a cat door that will open and close to a tag that you put on the cat's collar and can control it with your phone? That way the chickens can't get in the cat's food.
Lilly is adorable. I was thinking the reason the Peahen had the eggs in the corner was to help keep them away from the other birds. Maybe if you built up the corner with some material she would go back to the corner. Just saying. Love you. ❤❤❤
Thanks Brandy. I jumped when the peahen pecked at you. Hope the peahen went back on the eggs. I looked like Percy was limping. Fingers crossed he is fine.
They prob should be in the corner, I know it’s not technically where she was but she was in the corner with her eggs that’s why she keeps checking the corner. Bird can be very particular.
Maybe next move pull the tractor all the way to the other edge and she'll move her eggs? How long does a peahen sit for? You could even maneuver it so she still has her back to the wall you might need Dutch to help make that kind of move but it will only be until they are in the new house which is coming along!😊🧡💜🧡
🇦🇺I was wondering if from the back moving them forward (away from you) onto fresh grass would be better. Taking the eggs as you did and then returning them the same way. That way they are in the corner instead of in the middle of the coop.
Good job feeding the animals. Love your helper today. Hopefully the peahen will get back on the eggs. Sounds like a nice chair to have. GOD bless Y'all.
Hi Brandi, love seeing the peacocks and peahens. I enjoy watching your videos of the family and animals. Did the hen get back on her eggs? I really hope so. Take care, I hope you're having a wonderful day.
I think a nest box for the peahens would be helpful. One for each might help them to adopt one box for each. It will make the moving easier and keep the eggs safer. We used wooden boxes similar to rabbit nest boxes and they did fine. I'm pretty sure in the peahens mind her nest should be located where she put it in relation to the pen not in the exact spot she was in.
Hello Brandi, thank you for sharing. I love your videos. Whats the name of your female peahens & the other male? I remember Bobby. Keep videos coming. God Bless y'all. I think you did good on moving the peacocks & peahens.
Definitely put them back in the corner as she felt safe there you could of put some feathers there first to make a bit of a nest , then the eggs and she probably would of been back on them quickly as that’s where they were . I’m not being rude but you should of listened to Dutch he had the right idea of where they should be now.😊
You all are great stewards of land and animals I can't understand the comments from people who try to tell you how to do it and what to do. They need to mind their own darn business ! God bless you ya'll ❤❤❤❤❤
What kinda pigs are the feeder pigs? Do they have names? Does the lift chair recline? To elevate the feet? I have had a knee revision surgery This past Tues.
She had her eggs in a corner which gave her protection on two sides. Now the eggs are out in the open with no protection at all. That’s why she was so defensive.
I never touched my Peahen’s eggs so the best thing you can do is put them back in the corner then she’ll sit again hopefully. She definitely wasn’t happy 🥴. Press fast forward so Dutch finishes the Aviary 😂
Please move the eggs to the corner where she feels safe. She is in turmoil because the other birds are getting too close to her eggs. She has adapted to the corner and that's where she wants to be.
I hope you moved the eggs into the corner. In the peahen’s mind, her eggs were in the corner, not the middle of the pen. She doesn’t have the reasoning ability of a human. You should have put the eggs back the same way you took them out, through the back corner. Then, she would probably have rolled the last egg over. I’ve had parrots and, while not peafowl, they are birds. They behave by instinct, not reason. She had her eggs in a corner and expected them to be in the corner when she returned to the nest. She doesn’t know that the eggs in the middle of the pen are her eggs she had in the corner. Would not be surprised if she abandons the nest.
SHOULD HAVE PUT IN CORNER WHERE SHE HAD THEM. NEXT TIME USE A FOOD BOWL PUT LEAVES AND GRASS IN TO MAKE A NEST. THAT WAY IT PROTECTS EGGS FROM OTHERS. YOU TRIED. GOOD FOR NOT KNOWING MUCH QUICKER WITH BIRDS THE BETTER. LOL.😊💙🧡💚💜🩷💛🩵
