@@jona609 “Most” prospects don’t materialize into eminent MLB talent. I’d argue The Show’s draft classes actually cultivate an inordinate distribution of good-to-great players. Not even argue, it seems pretty objectively observable. I’d guess your sense of proportion is maybe a little off
@@jona609 I know, I once simmed all the way to 2050 and there was hardly any hitting, the average was 230 and pitching era were setting records. It was insane, like it was the dead ball era again
Been living the game this year so far! I’m hoping when they drop prev gen they finally redo the created player look. It’s literally been the same for like 15 years.
In my first draft at pick 22 with the mariners I got a 76 overall 1st baseman that’s 20 years old, and wasn’t ranked as a prospect. He has 98 potential, switch hitter, and plays catcher, second base, and right field for secondary positions. I’m loving this new prospect system. Also got a short stop that’s a switch hitter and was 73 overall with 91 potential with my second pick. Safe to say my expectations are set pretty high for future drafts to come! May not get that lucky in my next one lol. Just recently started following the channel, and look forward to more franchise rebuilds!
I have been waiting forever to comment this & I think now since The Show 23 has dropped, I would love to see you do a 5 year or 10 year rebuild with the New York Mets.
With the scouting I realized that the more players you scout the CPU will draft , so I scout a few others just so the chances of me getting who I want are better. 👍
I'm curious about a couple things. In the past to categories never increased. Speed and pitcher stamina. They either remained the same or declined. I notice on your video a couple draft prospects show current a future speed and stamina where those increase over time. Have you simmed ahead to see if this is actually happening?
I had one franchise where I got a generational 81 overall CF and then the next year there was a 78 overall generational LF and 80 overall generational RF
Your bullpen struggled in the WS because you didn’t warm any of them up. In the quick manage part you still have to warm guys up before putting them in.
Once I get the game, I’m going to make trades after year one so that every player in my organization was in the 2023 draft class. Then, I won’t allow real players in my organization in future years either and I’ll try to win a World Series as fast as possible with raised difficulty settings
I would of had my favorite team the Oakland A's Rebuilt in about a year maybe 2 with realistic spending on free agents. Young pitching prospects and veterans.
Wondering if anyone else is bothered by the fact that a lot of the high potential young players and a good amount of established players don't have real face scans or even edited faces? I just like it because of the realism in franchise. I know they usually update a few during the season, but compared to the last couple of MLBtheShows they usually have a decent amount scanned or edited to make it look like their real face. Why couldn't they just use their "new" face scan technology on getting as much real faces in the game as possible? Sorry for the rant, just want to hear if anyone has any good news or insight about this, great video btw!
Jokes aside when the show 23 dropped the first thing I did was wait till you made a rebuild! Been watching for like 2-3 years and am a franchise gamer mostly. Keep up the amazing content man! This year is gonna be huge for you
Did you do your own scouting? I can't figure that out, I loved the old system. I made my own team, tore it down and drafting my guys. Year 2, I got a generational CF. 99 potential and 80 overall to start. The crazier thing is, there was a 2nd generational talent drafted as well! In my division of course, and a 1B
@@buzz9900 universal DH is in the game. That's the default. You can turn off DH if you want. Just cause the lineup with no DH is there doesn't mean that universal DH doesn't exist. It's just a lineup screen
@@TheAntOrtiz oh yeah I knew that. Sounds like it's the same as last year. Just think that if somebody doesn't turn off universal DH then the screen just shouldn't be there. It's an old point now but I was always annoyed that they didn't even change the playoff format last year
@@buzz9900 They didn't add it last year because they wanted to adjust the team logic to match. So with more teams making the post season, more teams would want to make trades for players. Things like that. Basically just adjust the coding for the logic
