If you do this again, strategically think you should do it this way: After year 1, even if good QBs there, trade down as much as humanly possible. Only take defense because Madden only cares about stats for dev upgrades/DROY. Your team will be awful no matter what so it’s worth going defense because defense will be on field the whole time. Once you have a lot of draft capital, that’s when you look at going offense so that your offensive players can get awards/dev upgrades by putting together an entire draft class of QB/receivers/linemen. I could be wrong but I think that could work!

Do a 0 overall, but you can only draft the same position that was taking before your pick. Ex: qb was taking right before you, so then you have to draft a qb.

Day 33 of commenting this rebuild idea: make an expansion team (relocation) and follow these rules. You can take 1 player from each team but the teams get to protect their starter roster. This roster would be qb1, rb1/2, wr1/2/3, te1/2, each starter on the oline, le1, re1, dt1/2, lolb1, rolb1, mlb1/2, cb1/2/3, ss1, fs1, k1, and p1. Rookies are also auto protected so you can’t take them if they are available. You'll then have a 32 man roster that you can fill by signing free agents. But your team is a new team on a low budget so you can only sign free agents to 1 year deals starting preseason week 1. However you resign whichever players you want for however long you want. You can also make whatever trades you want. For the draft you let the cpu pick to spice things up. You end the vid once you win a super bowl.

NO TRADING FOR PLAYERS: How about trading your drafted players who are buried on the depth chart for draft picks? Teams with those needs might trade mid-round picks or better for that young talent, & it gives you more chances to hit with players.

Rebuild Idea: Before the rebuild starts spin a wheel to choose your offense and defense playbooks for the rebuild, after 2 seasons you can spin 1 more time to change 1 of the 2 playbooks if you do not like your current playbooks.

First time watcher, can you not do draft trades for players, e.g. give up a pick like you did but rather than other picks ask for a player? That way you are still technically doing it through draft picks?

Spin a wheel with all the teams. Whichever team it lands on, cut all the starters. That is your starting team to rebuild. Some teams have good backups in areas, and you may get lucky with a good backup.

Suggestion: Change it up and show you taking all your draft picks and little more planned like channels (C4, Jerormepkr).

Attempt 8 I think rebuild a team of vertically challenged players as in make a team of players who are shortest for their position and draft only players who are on the shorter end as well as using free agency picking up players on the shorter end as well when it comes to rebuilding you don't have to keep them the absolute shortest but choosing people based on how short they are compared to who is available.

you should do a rebuild (or sim) just like this (0 overalls only building through draft) but also set every player overall to 0 in the league (on other teams) and see how the sim goes after like even 10 years.

Day two Rebuild a team with a low overall 75 OVR and for every losing season you can add a legend to it and only one draft pick per year one free agent until you get a 16-17 wins for the season

A rebuild idea would be to make a team out of only 1 college team (for me it would be Ohio State) and then only drafting players out of that college. It might be hard to do, but I feel like it's something you'd be able to do

Day 4: Do a Fantasy Draft where you can only draft Defense or Offense, use a wheel spin to decide. Say you get offense you have to do that for the Fantasy Draft. The draft for that season you can only do Defense, the draft after that you can only do Offense etc.

I think you should focus on building up the offense before drafting a QB, a lot of the time they end up not developing and you draft another one a few years down the road anyway

trust me dude crank the xp sliders for tackles the reason they always play bad for you is the top 20 tackles in the game are all 90+ and they the only ones that play good usually
