Thing is Newcastle don’t need to have a rebuild episode. Yeah they are not doing great but they are facing the hard dose of reality with European midweek and weekend football. Injuries and fatigue has took the toll but they will be back, just a learning curve for them.

They qualified for the 2008-09 UEFA Cup and got drawn in the same group as PSG (they got a 2-2 draw) and Manchester City (they beat them here in Santander 3-1) and got grouped by a goal (+2 for PSG, +1 for Racing). In 2012, they got relegated to the Second Division and have been alternating between the 3rd and the 2nd Division without any options of returning to LaLiga.
