McCallie is impressive. My HS used to play them when we were constantly 1 or 2 in the nation. That was back in 2001. My team has since become meh. McCallie is still that good. That’s amazing for a HS team to have that kind of staying power.

This is high school, the best players at this age don't play for their schools but rather their clubs or MLS next teams. This are not the top high school aged kids in the nation by a wide margin

Rankings are political. And as others have said, the best players no longer play for their HS teams. It’s now just a watered down version of what it used to be.

If you don't know what to do, I want you to get on your knees, and pray this prayer with your heart: Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for my sins, and was ressurected on the third day. I believe you came to the Earth, to pay for our sins. Thank you for dieing on the cross for my sins, in Your Name, I pray, amen. I don't know who is reading this, but if you ever fill an empty whole, which cannot be fulfilled, the only way to fulfill is by Jesus. 7:33 is honestly the best passing sequence I've watched in a high profile high school soccer game ever which is pretty sad tbh.

@@fizzedball7078 I think a few of the players look like they are in club….but the overall lack of play and finesse in tight spaces is one of those telltale signs they didn’t grow up being trained in the total football philosophy….no tiki taka….no rondos….etc. I’m sure they will do well at some D1 program.

Part of the problem is they don't play on a proper pitch. The field is too narrow and the ball moves too quickly without real grass. So it just turns into a crazy free for all.

nah, the best players in the country are mls next, a u15/16/17 mls next team like orlando city would destroy any high school team. mls next players can’t play high school so you can’t expect much from them

@@Vinijr742 eh, I wouldn't bank on it. I've seen some of these MLS next teams play, and many don't impress me. The style of play many of these teams have is just awful. We're in a country of +300 million. But we can hardly send any players to Europe and they be an actual contributor. The development is just overall terrible in the States.

​@@Vinijr742Not really. Most of the MLS next players aren't exactly levels ahead of your high school players (the ones at competitive schools). I've played with Crew/Internationals players and they aren't necessarily better than a highschool soccer player.

I mean just look at how that defender won that ball and played that terrible curving ball up the field out of bounds? Is that a highlight ? How is that team ranked number one ? That is utter junk.
