1. The ship is from The Book of the Manda... Boba Fett, not from The Mandalorian show. But raise your hand if you can tell the difference! 2. I did smash the set a little more for that dramatic effect, my point still stands! :D 3. SUBSCRIBE
My biggest complaint is just the *size* man... It's way too big to keep it built, feels twice as big as any of the previous N1s. I guess they had to do that to make the Grogu pod fit but still lol...
Still way too easy to disconnect! Technic axle here is pretty much a must, considering that LEGO would reinforce builds with such techniques all the time. Still it feels like a design mistake.
In Lego's defence, the N1 starfighter doesn't have landing gear. They used repulsors to hover for out of hanger landing and in hanger they were suspended much like TIEs
I just got this set for 40 Euro and love it tbh. While I agree the tail engine comes off really easy, can I point out that you assembled it wrong making it even easier to break off for you. Those round pieces should be level with the rest but they stick out on yours... The comments on the wing engines are silly tbh, nobody holds it like that. They have literally never loosened up except when I purposly try to loosen them.
Finally!! Thank you Mike for your honest opinion about a LEGO set…. I’ve stop following and viewing LAN members reviews because I feel that they are afraid of speaking their mind about the FREE LEGO sets they review for a fortune-500 company
My opinions are always honest. I am a regular fan like everyone else. Even if I ever join LAN, my opinions will not change and if LEGO ever forces an opinion on me, that would mean the LAN is not for me. I am often positive because I truly enjoy the product in 95% of cases but I will speak out when I see the lack of value. Thanks for watching Hector!
I agree for the most part. I think this set shouldn't have been priced above $40. Most of the pieces are quite small and I like details created by lots of small Lego but this price doesn't match what you get. Those two micro figures hardly count as minifigs in terms of value. The droid has zero articulation and is one mould. Grogu is super limited too. The BD Droid would be a figure accessory in one of those polybag sets if it wasn't part of the Star Wars world. I love this little guy but to get him at this price tag, no thanks. Also for this price they should have given Mando his hair too.
With how expensive Star Wars sets can be these days I don't get the point of buying a set like this. Outside of the Minifigures I'd think you could get the parts for the same price or cheaper to build a MOC that's more stable and detailed.
Hey man cool video! Heads up you have the engines on wrong (or built wrong; the little gray pieces at the bottom are supposed to be facing the inside of the ship) and the thruster that keeps falling of underneath is built incorrectly; you have the technic pin centered through the 4 oval pieces when it’s supposed to be offset which makes the front 2/3 of it flush with the floor. It still falls off too easily but not as much when it’s built correctly.
I like the looks of this set, but that piece falling off that back really bugs me. I can live with the other things you mentioned. But at the price, I have to really think about it.
OMG opening sound fx - 10/10.... Display - hang from the ceiling ..lol sorry ur not happy with the set - its rare when you have buyers remorse - you can always just take it apart for parts :) Hopefully you will be way happier with the Ferrari :)
I feel you should've known better based on the box art alone. (jk) Seriously though this reminds me a lot of the Crate speeder from TLJ only that one is very substantially built, and solid enough to play with and with the side build, and figs justifies the price somewhat. Personally other than the outstanding figs, and exclusivity of the little droid there's no reason I can think of in my mind that this should be more that $35 if that. Even Grievious's starfighter was a better value than what Lego is offering here. Would love though to see in clearance to get the Pasco, not Weaver minifigs though. Also funny how this minifig looks so much more accurate than when she was released both times in the Ghostbuster theme. Anyways, this may be a dud, but for the most part the Summer wave is looking pretty good, build/valuewise.
The urge to own an N-1 was stronger than the possible shortcomings I felt from the box art. But who really decides a purchase today on the box art? :) You either want / like the set enough to purchase or not. Here I feel genuinely disappointed.
@@TheCoolFactor Understandable. Great media can make almost anything desirable despite the short comings. This is now my situation with most Nexo Knight sets I now own. Facepalm.
I agree Mike. When I first heard this model so fast after appearing, my first thought was, "Man did they rush that in production". I see I was right. Looking forward to the Jedi Starfighter in August!
@@TheCoolFactor if the red rod is slightly poking through the bottom of the brick that attaches to the rest of the fighter, it can fall off easily, I easily fixed it with mine
it connects well, the 2x2 plate connects to the connecter (i dont know the lego term for it) but the red axle is hard to move, so if it is slightly poking out of the brick, it will have a poor connection, in the video (and on my set), i noticed that every time the thruster broke off, it was the brick, not the plate
