Ahead of the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has made a formal announcement, expressing his desire to compete for the Peoples Democratic Party ticket in the forthcoming party primaries.

Philip Shuaibu should go and sit down. we need a competent hand from Edo central. we cannot be fighting for Zoning at the Federal level and then come to state level and be saying a different thing.

Am not from Edo state, but if I may say, I suggest Philip should allow equity to reign and allow Edo central to produce the next governor. Edo north and south have had it,why can't stay aside for the candidate's from central to take the mantle,or are they not part of Edo state? Nigeria democracy is not matured for now that a candidate can come from any zone..
