85 cut, whether high or low, is supposed to be more similar to the original shape released in 1985. This means a slightly wider and rounded toe box vs the more pointed toe boxes of modern “retro OG” Jordan 1s
I’ve never seen a mid review change up that was hilarious. As far as sneaker content I personally will always click on “on feet” videos so I can see how they look in real time. Also I think I switched up on these lows as well 😅
🤣 that was hilarious! Switch up in real time 😂 thanks for helping me make my decision, I was bout to grab these for $100 before your review 🤦🏽♂️ thanks again.
I like these man! I see these shoes as like a fresh shoe but nothing crazy. Just wear these with some dark denim jeans and a crispy white tee. I like them bro
I got the neutral gray pair a while back under retail and they are super comfortable. I got a half size up because I remember the highs being very stiff and the lows have all that extra padding on the heel but I think I could’ve got my true size because there’s, a bunch of extra room in the toe
I have the neutral gray 85 lows - they are very comfortable but agree that something about how the toe box is cut just visually doesn’t look amazing. I’m at a point in my life where comfort wins though so I’m all over it! 🎉
These run so much bigger then the neutral gray lows. They cheeped out on the padding in the heel so I’d recommend a half size down. I was so bummed putting my pair on yesterday 😒
Really my favorite low is the 85 neutral greys. I love the padding. For some reason I don't see as much padding on the other OG jordan 1 lows. The neutral greys are just so comfortable. This is a first that I've seen where someone changes the mind mid review LOL. But there's a first for everything.
It’s not that serious, you think I care when people use my clips this is the internet lol why does everything gotta be a big deal it’s a damn sneaker video 😂🤣 Jesus, but thank you for letting me know I fixed that they deserve their credits
I feel like you being objective about the shoes is the reason I rock w this channel. Too many sheep on most sneaker channels. Good for you my boy. Also s/o to “buckets” (foamer Simpsons brother) and sneakernomics. I hold your guys reviews in high regard 👍🏻.
Last time this colorway released as a high and low, it was RIGHT BEFORE the Jordan 1 High craze. They sat in outlets. And now, this released RIGHT AFTER the Jordan 1 Low craze and are going below retail and will also inevitably hit outlets. Metallic Navy's will forever be the most underrated colorway of the Jordan 1. Maybe just because of bad timing because... IMO it's honestly one of the best colorways of it, EVER.
Love your content bro! Compared to other sneaker content creators out there on all social media platforms, you’re the most authentic as it comes bro. Keep it up bro 🙌🏼
I actually go through this alot I be so excited I hit on shoes just to turn around and question myself are these even worth keeping they fire but they not that fire 😂
I click on the kicks that my boyfriend just bought. Then go please him ……. with my knowledge of the history of the Airship lol. He brought home 2 pairs today. AWAKE NY Collaboration I love em. Also, new A Ma Maniere Stone Green Airships. & i know what he does is watches the reviews after unboxing.
I would've watch this without the click bait lol The back tab is what i dont completely like, something off lol. I like the regular low ogs personality. I got the og shadow lows in the shock drop this week, im glad they had the shape i preferred.
Thats hilarious cause I did the same thing with these shoes. From the pictures I was like fire, must have. Got them in hand and my first thought was nope
They look good on hands, but not on feet. lol. Yeah there was way too much space in the back there, kinda weird. Hate to see it, cuz the colorway itself is clean.
Let's normalize trusting a gut feeling that a sneaker can...NOT excite you, after all. It can be a week later, a month later (often for ppl who don't even think about a sneaker once the high of getting them in has passed) or a few mins later lol like here. I think we feel silly to turn around and not want the pair in the end but that's discernment. Trust it and move it out the collection before it collects dust and takes up space.
It’s because the 85 shape is more in line with what was originally released in 1985. I agree the modern shape looks more sleek, but I’ll always have an appreciation for the 85s because of my appreciation for the very first Jordan 1s
i always wondered if youtubers had those moments. bc i’ve been there and the top pov view will ruin entire days😭 got my grail OW prestos during covid, put them on, then put them back in the box and got in the car to go sell them. they just weren’t for me when i looked down. you were also cooking w the way the shoe game has changed and sneaker youtubers get views and i think the inflation bubble you’re talking about pushed a lot of people that actually bought what they liked out. that + half the sneaker content is garbage nowadays. your vibe and concepts haven’t changed too much w your growth, but on the flip side others have and the final product is awful. i think id rather walk around barefoot than sit down and watch qias talk about big red boots and sneakercon in 2024.
People like hype or really great story telling. For example there’s nacho who talks about history of sneakers and he gets decent views. It’s hard out here :9 I say do what you love and never look at the views. Sneakers peaked as a trend and currently we at the bottom for consumers for now.
5:29 idk but if you ask me they fucked up with that outer line of the sole on these new OG remakes compared to the old ones. Right there on the time stamps It looks like you wear them on the wrong foot LMAO that outer line of the sole legit has a curve in the middle of the shoe... ON THE OUTER SIDE? like what, why is there a curve? That line on the old ones are almost perfectly straight and only goes just so slightly upwards towards the heel. So far, on everyone I've seen that put these new ones on it looked like they have their shoes on the wrong foot if you looked at it from the side or an angle, it looks so goofy and retarded lol. they really fucked up with this pair. Also the overall shoe looks much bulkier and higher off the ground, almost like a dunk or even an air force 1.. the old OG's were overall slimmer, perfectly on the foot and felt closer to the ground, gave the shoe on the foot a much slicker and less bulky look.
