I think the reason why some big clubs like Man City couldn’t do much was because: Your club earns less money when in a smaller league. Considering Man City has the highest wages in the game, it had to sell players to pay off wages, doing that made their squad worse and perform worse. Perform worse = less results, less results = less ranking in league, less ranking in league = earn less money, whole thing repeats

U didn't mention league 2 sides surviving in pl like Wrexham and mk dons, that's truly unexpected

PUSB! Cov finally gained promotion after finishing in the playoffs so many times =D. Really interesting idea, would love to see it expanded and maybe a snapshot of all the tables so we can see how other teams faired during the end of season. Also and this isn't a disrespect to Norwich, but they've not exactly set the world alight since coming down from the Prem in real life and this season are looking to struggle again now they've lost a few key players, so it makes sense they would struggle against prem teams for the first few seasons.

I've done this on Football Manager before but with the PL and Championship clubs started in the National North and South. It led to a very interesting save but it did stabalise eventually

Remove the big 4 in Italy (Juventus, Milan, Inter, Napoli)
