This song was popular when I was 12, I had a major crush on a girl named “Hollie”.. she was a bit older and a friend of my cousin. She would come over for sleep overs and I remember how nervous I would get. A few years went by and I grew up a bit, I found she had a secret crush on me... innocent crushes. Songs back then meant more than today.. her version of this song is amazing! Amazing! “The wind would whisper and of think of you..! “When love went blind and you’d make me see!” Such amazing lyrics!

Sad when non-famous singers have more heart and talent then the originals do. Somewhere down the road of music Bands and singers fall apart and lose the edge they once had and sound like garbge garage bands and these people like this come in and totally destroy them with their own music! well done....

I used to play that song flawlessly on my Ovation 12 string acoustic/electric guitar and sing it in the mid 90’s,just like you just did. I loved that song more that anything. You brought all those memories back to me. Thank you. I’m so glad that someone from the next generation loves it as much as I did.

I’m coming at this from the field between Bach (Skid Row) and Sweet (Stryper) in which Sweet says she blows away the original. She is amazing, but this didn’t blow away the original. The textures to Bach’s voice cannot be duplicated. He nailed every high note with confidence and quality beyond compare.
Just splitting hairs here but Sabastian sang like he had a chip on his shoulder or someone had just pissed in his cheerios i.e. there was aggression/ hard edge in his voice even in a tender song like this. You be you but try it once for a different sound and feel for Skid Row songs. btw your version is really great.
You're exactly right about Bach. Yet another band that blew up over ego, jealousy, and/or drugs. Skid row not the same without Bach but moriah would get close!
