In this video you'll see how crazy fun it is to remove your sponsons on your jetski. its 6 screws using a Torx t40 bit. MAKE SURE you put the bolts back in due to 1. losing the nuts if you ride it without the bolts and 2. water will get in the hull!! also ride sponsonless at your own risk, Take care and learn the way your craft steers without them before trying anything at speed

did you have to seal the holes with caulking or no

No, just put the screws back in and tighten otherwise the nuts will fall out and you will have to remove the whole hull abd find them

Hard to tell I think I started out as trim nose down and then progressed to trim 2 up fro centre

What Allen key do you use to get them off??

It's a torx bit not an Allen key, t40 from memory but make sure you screw the screw back in before riding as they will jump out of location and the hull will take on water

@@traewelborn6978 you can do either, trim up makes it spin more on the rear and trim down or 3/4 keeps the spin more on the front to help gets the tail around faster... also mid lean into the corner and you can start drifting sideways for a decent amount odlf distance

@@traewelborn6978 nah shouldn't affect power at all, just stability. I did notice at top speed the ski would porpoise or jump up and down slightly affecting top speed

The same way you took them off just reversed.. if you rode it without the screws back in you'll need to split the hull and put the nuts back in

@@collincreecy906 undo the 3 screws, hold the sponson back up and screw in the screws. Be sure to follow the manual on torque settings not to overnighter and strip the threads
