I think I'd be okay with cruising around Arizona in a "crappy" C8, even though the quirks would definitely be irritating, considering you paid for and were expecting a reasonably sorted convertible! Amazing to have so many issues with so few miles behind it, but I guess it is GM lol

With the convertible top button being on the door and the way that wire harness looks in those doors.... I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a wiring issue from that shoddy door work.

By the way, as far as the convertible top goes, that button you kept clcking is supposed to be held down until the top goes down and you get a message on the dash saying the top is secure then. Then you release the button. The same applies in putting up the top only in reverse. Just pull the button up and hold it until the top comes all the way up and locks. Then you should get your message on the dash saying it's secured and then you release the button. Hope this helps... Good luck!

The reason why you rent cars from legitimate rental businesses like Enterprise. C7 and C8 owner and absolutely love it. Not sure about your friend but my C8 is more roomy than my C7.

I bought my old 944 back a few years ago. My wife packed a huge bag for 4 days. I told her it would be better to pack something smaller. Was ignored. I still hear about how there was no room in the car. I had my bag, a set of wheels, and some other stuff.

I beg to differ with you. The Lamborghini doors do work when they're probably installed. After the initial installation of the doors, usually about 1-3 months. And there's a screw up with old hinges used to be for each door. That will adjust the height of the door so it probably opens and closes. I had them in my 2020 Corvette for almost 2 years. Never an issue except the alignment of the driver's door which was opened and closed a lot was just starting to need an adjustment on its alignment. I personally found them to be more commerce in getting in and getting out but the doors work fine if properly installed.

Lesson learned...be careful when renting from Turo. Poor quality control. My new 2024 C8 is arriving in about 4 weeks. Can not wait....

And why would you want to be after renting this wreck (And others previously)? You also sounded like you were blaming the C8 for defects when it was really the owner’s very poor maintenance and stupid options he installed. But toward the end of the video you cleared up those points. Good work.

As a newer viewer/subscriber, your complaints that were entirely the fault of the guy on Turo that doesnt maintain his car but rents it out anyways.... you kinda made sound like they were Chevy's fault....which none of your problems were. This was just this Turo owners fault you had a bad experience, funny as they were. For instance, I kind of think that the squirrelly feeling you were getting was because of one rear wheel that is over an inch difference in size according to the measurements you read off. The sensors at any speed would be telling the computer that the smaller wheel is spinning because it is rotating faster than the other one. That could explain a lot...not Chevy's fault. Glad to see I dont want to add lambo doors when I get one....not Chevy's fault. Owner didn't update the software.....camera fail not Chevy's fault. You didn't tell your GF to pack in smaller bags since you rented a Vette...not Chevy's fault. I know you didn't rail on Chevy and I'm not on you either. Just keeping score for the person who doesn't know Vettes that stops by. I do hope you complained to Turo and get your money back. That is just bad business when the owner rents a convertible and know it doesn't work. Please do an update letting us know if you got your money back, AND let people know its NOT CHEVY's fault.
