Don’t be surprised if it starts leaking again as mine did with the kit. There are now several Chinese knockoffs of the $300+ part for around $50.

Always do the top starter bolt FIRST!!! As the starter gets loose, it binds that top bolt and you can't spin it out. The inside flange of the stock dipstick adapter gets distorted by the swelling internal "O"-ring. I only had one 7.3 that leaked like this, and that engine is now on an engine stand waiting for me to reassemble it. I bought the weld in fitting and installed it so I know it will never be an issue. I certainly like RiffRaff products and will be watching to see how yours holds up. If you need a starter, I like the PWM-9051 from Summit Racing, but it ain't cheap. Be extra careful if you pull the passenger side valve cover as you have to move the dipstick.

Good to know because as you saw I started with the bottom bolts I’m curious to know how much easier it would have been had I done the top first. Whenever it comes time to replace it I will start with the top! I will also update over time of how the dipstick is doing. As of now a little over a week later still no leaking

@@AaronCates You need a good assortment of different sized ratchet attachments to get the right length and actually break it loose or tighten it. And it's usually just tight enough you can't use your fingers, but too loose for your ratchet to work causing the bolt to tighten back when reversing the ratchet handle.
