I repaired the odd broken crankshaft by threading the ends of the two pieces together 

This repair is obviously physically capable of being accomplished, but will the crankshaft actually be of any use. Considering the tolerance levels of a crankshaft, who's the mechanic that will make this functional again. Thanks for sharing this project and hope it works again. Also, love the new tools you have now, the cutting attachment for the lathe and the balancing Guage.

How do you know where to weld it so the timing will be right? You do great work, one of the best I have seen, with out any of the electronic measuring devices attached to your lathe

Looks like one of the con rod journals needed repair and next to that part of the crank was broken too.

If repaired in this manner by squaring up one of the broken ends, boring and female threading it while male threading the other broken end and screwing the two pieces together, shortens the entire length of the cam and the male side especially!!! How can the male cam piece be in sync with the pistons as shown in this repair?
