@@j9drive369 i will stick here man i own a suzuki ignis ddis2, i started fixing it 3 years ago now its like 153000 km and it works great even ac is 20 yers old and still blows strong... 😘
I have a little 3dr Ignis. Bought it off my sister as a cheap run about, now love it. The engine is so good, I am making a little helicopter with the same engine. No joke, with some mods, the engine is of excellent design.
My father bought the next gen Ignis. First thing he did was rebuilding the transmission..Then various repairs. I painted the car , restoring the headlights and all. Now is almost perfect and for sale for 2000 euro. Nobody is calling to buy it 😅😅
Great video.Thank you. I am planning to rebuild my ignis 4x4 these days. Does anybody would like to share with me information about bearings numbers and seals numbers? Is there any repair kit? Where can I buy it?I would like to buy spares before to start this repair.
Hi. I used your video to replace by input shaft bearing (2002 Suzuki Ignis 1.3 M13A). The video was very useful and instructional. However, i got stuck with a spring and 'ball' that fell out while i was on. It is not one of the three that are 'closed in' with the three bolt screws which are in-line (i cannot work out how to post photos). I cannot work out where this fourth spring and ball came from. Thank you for any help.
I had the same problem. I forgot to remove the plate that sits outside the casing under the 5th gear. This holds the 4th fork which has a slot in it where the plate slots into. If you removed that plate then all 4 forks rods would have stayed together. So now Remove the 6 bolts on the outer casing and then the 4th fork will come out.. Then test fit the fork shaft into the cassette with the other forks. It's got some notches on the end of the shaft for the ball and spring. On the cassette you will see a channel or hole where the spring and ball sits inside. It's a bit tricky to get the ball and spring in position as well as slot the fork in but is can be done with some attempts. Just make sure you have found and refitted all balls and springs. Otherwise your gearbox won't work and lock itself in gear.
My Ignis 4x4 starts difficult to shift because this i put a gear additive in from "Mathy" now i shifts way smoother and noise is also reduced. I hope it last longer than 200.000km (now 145.000) ha ha! if anyone seperate a gear box first time ...take pictures, picture,,pictures this will help you to complete it back!
After doing that rebuild on my swift gearbox , I started experiencing an intermittent clutch judder when cold. I feel the engine shake at the biting point. It does not occur every time , sometimes I feel the clutch pedal a little spongy. What could be the culprit ? Gearbox mounts? Bad flywheel? Thanks!
I'm not sure. I don't think they had that as an option. Would be difficult to retrofit I would think unless you can find an after market kit. But sounds a bit sketchy.
@@j9drive369 thanks for reply been offered 2008 swift with noisy gearbox needs clutch also alternator for £160 worth a gamble something to play with 👍👍👍
@@bamitfc15 The transmission will have to be removed and taken apart to see what failed. It may be a simple fix after that point. The other option is gat another transmission.
