One of our pet call ducks went broody and was sitting on some eggs, the ducklings hatched, the mum had come off the nest and she was happily caring for 3 ducklings. When we inspected the nest deserted nest we found an abandoned duckling . When we found the duckling she was cold, wet and barely moving. We thought she was dead, we had an immediate rescue situation on our hands, we took her inside to get her warmed up and dry. After about 2 days the duckling was strong enough to go back in with mum. But very unusually the mum did not want take her back and care for her . So we took care of her instead , we named the duckling Loopy. She is incredibly bonded to my whole family abd follows us around everywhere. I have given her lots of walks but never on the road as it is far too dangerous. This video shows her growing from a tiny little duckling to a nearly grown up duck (she's not full grown yet and still had some baby feathers)
