here we go again
I reset the NBA back to 2002 on NBA 2K23 to see what would happen in this alternate fictional scenario (sorry yea this isnt real) but what youll see here is where lebron james, dwyane wade, carmelo anthony & chris bosh end up in the 03 draft, how the careers of the kobe, allen iverson, tracy mcgrady, shaq, garnett, duncan & nowitzki would pan out, what teams would be formed amongst these players as well as the eventual additions of MVPs such as kevin durant, steph curry & giannis antetokounmpo. yes, this sim is like 20 years long, welcome to the 2002 sim.
i didnt realize how long that explanation would end up being but screw it its kinda worth it

The Grizzlies just played in really great finals games. Between their battles with the Celtics and that amazing Series against the pacers, those were some great games to watch. Some of the best play I've seen from the AI in this game.

The best and most accurate thing to me about this amazing simulation was how the Pacers handled their business. They started off kinda mid (I don't think this roster had Reggie), got screwed hard by the lottery when they finally got their picks again, had a few great players fall to them in the draft that made them perennial contenders, gave up their biggest star at his peak, and then they finally ended the video by being kind of mid.

Brandon Roy, Andrew Bynum, Greg Oden, Derrick Rose, Danny Granger, Amar'e Stoudimire...they all were next up and had career threatening/ending injuries. I think you said you were born in the 2000s and haven't been watching basketball long? Y'all can make fun of players like Joe Johnson & Josh Smith but they can ball. If 03-04 Pistons drafted Bosh that could’ve been crazy if they still got Sheed. Ben fell off basically as SOON as DET let him go after his deal was up in 05-06 and he went from 7.5 to 16M’s and went to CHI. Bosh Sheed front court could’ve been pretty dope then obviously building around Bosh. Sucks he had his career cut short bc he still legit had another cpl awesome years left…then prolly another cpl as a solid role player. Still a great career tho.

VIDEO IDEA: You should take the 2k rookie versions of 3 nba legends at the same position and combine them by taking the best atrubute to the biggest guy. For example for pg you could choose Magic curry and the glove so you have magic's size and passing while having GP's defense and curry shooting.
