On Day 5 of the 8 Days of Cheese, I traveled to New Orleans to return to the CEC where the 2nd oldest 3 Stage was removed earlier this year and compare the way it used to look with the 2.0 remodel, enjoy!

Even as someone who has never been in a CEC but always loved and enjoyed it from afar it’s devastating to see how they have forgotten about the most important part of a once loved world

This really shows how the vibe of Chuck E. Cheese’s has changed in the last decade or so and it just seems so lacking that spark of life it once had .

I never liked it when some CEC store remodels forgot some of the silhouette posters. Mobile, Alabama did it during their remodel in late 2019 and Florence, Kentucky also did this during their remodel in early 2022. Mobile had only Chuck and Helen, and Florence had almost the whole band, minus Jasper. I mean, can’t they remove the video wall from future remodels so they can fit all five characters on the wall?

the real interesting thing is my local (which is in a mall) has all 5 silhoutte character posters yet Florence doesn’t but they are a standalone building so i have no idea if its space or if they just forgot

I'm honestly STILL so disappointed that this stage is gone. New Orleans is like... the home of Fatz, and the fact that the very stage that he stood on is gone, is truly so upsetting. The remodel looks nice, but I'll still honestly never ever see the store the same again. Regardless though, another great Video as usual Chris. God Bless!

U should go see some of the Georgia CECs again like Augusta and Columbus now since they 2.0 now. However, sadly, all CECs in my State of Georgia are all 2.0 now

This would be an amazing new series of revisiting cec locations that got 2.0. For example I wanna know what my local location (west Melbourne) looks like now after they got the 2.0. I wanna know if they pulled a circles or light and removed the bot only or did they remove the stage in full. Anyways, Good luck Chris. Keep up the good work

@@phantomhourglass13 I always took it for granted bc that’s the only Chuck E. Cheese I’ve ever been to so I thought they all had them. I was also scared of Chuck bc he didn’t look nothing like rockstar Chuck.

Compare to the remodel from my local Houma, Louisiana this one looks nice! My tech told me this store remodel look better than before though it sucks that the oldest 3-Stage is gone as they're officially extinct now in Louisiana it's nice to see you revisit. I went last year on Christmas Eve and it was amazing this Sunday gonna make a year since I've visited but great video as always! If you ever in the area again you should definitely check out my local in Houma. It's a small location but definitely worth seeing hopefully we could collab and I could show you around inside the store

personally I like 2.0 in the case of the updating of the stores, some of them (like Northridge for example before their remodel) haven’t remodeled in a very long time, so it gives a new freshness to the location

3:55 it hurts hearing Outta This World playing, not only is that my favorite/most remembered childhood-wise CEC song, it also was one the 3-stage would have performed if it were still here, let alone in good condition…

You should check out cec in Milwaukee they have phase 5 with showroom walls and most importantly a 1 stage with WITH THE HELICOPTER STILL INTACT

Also, in recent years. the sad thing is parents probably used to take their kids there to get away from the screens and now they’re just screen, so is there any reason to take them there anymore?

Hang on why cant they get rid of the silhouettes and instead make 2 stages on each side plus one side stage for pasqually and then have the screen in the middle i mean they have enough space to put the animatronics there or try the portrait approach😊

From a unique pizza robot arcade to a generic family facility. I'll admit it looks nicer, but the fact that this was one of the last contributors to the 3-stage going almost extinct is sad. They need s 3-stage retro store or the CEC museum. The day the 3 stage dies, the day Chuck E Cheese dies.

You know if we had to choose a remodel I would have did the one with rockstar chuck because that had one cool decorations and cool portraits on him and his friends with colors that wernt bland

I assume you mean the phase 5 remodel ( remodel before 2.0) and I agree! Heck if they wanted botless stages use the COL but the regular 2.0 just looks so bland

@@NoodleNuggzphase 5 (technically its either the 2013 Update or the 2015 Remodel) is based. I’ve only seen a few 2013 Update stores and no 2015 Remodel stores from my memory (2015 remodel has the colored walls like yellow)

It's crazy how they just threw away the old animatronics and replaced it with a stage. They should do is keep the stage and the animatronic because without the animatronics it's just no fun. They should also add Bella the new character to the stage to... Sad

CEC might possibly get sold again, which means they still can’t get their debt cleared. Hopefully that means they’ll slow down/stop the 2.0 remodels eventually!
