I did not get approved for the influencer program due to my lack of engagements and stuff so you must actually have a good amount of content and engagements in order to get approved:-)
I agree with MonteWeaverOfficial. I wouldn’t take that approach. You could always trying selling the products you don’t care to keep on FB Marketplace or eBay to recoup some of the cost.
Brother, this is the first time every seeing your channel. Easy to listen to and super helpful. Instant like and sub! Thank you for your helpful content!
When you log into you influencer dashboard where you can see the videos you’ve uploaded. You’ll see “Earned onsite commissions” on the top right just above the upload video button. If you’re not approved you’ll see a lock 🔒 there.
Update: I've got every link working. I'm not sure which one you were trying but they're all working except the training from Anonymous Influencers. They've put their training on pause at the moment. If anything changes. I'll comment an update 🙂
@@steven_charles this may be a shot in the dark but I applied for the program after seeing your video. Got accepted. Uploaded 30 published videos but said my videos didn’t meet the requirements for the product page. Could you possibly give me feedback? My store front is sidehustleseattle thank you!
Fantastic video, thank you! Do you have to have the original packaging for reviews? Does it have to be a new item (even if not purchased through Amazon)?
You don't need the original packaging. I've reviewed products I've had for years. And, nope you didn't have to buy it from Amazon. As long as it's sold on Amazon, you can review it 🙂
@@steven_charles Thanks for the quick reply! I was also wondering - what is the max number of videos that they allow on a listing? I'm doubting whether it's worth it for me to get into because many of the items I would review are already quite popular and probably have videos for them already.
@@saltandstoneknitsSorry about the late reply. It use to be 7 but amazon has added a bottom carousel now so there can be more now but it also depends on how many video slots the seller adds to the carousel and how many of them they leave open. I’ve seen some seller who take up three slots with their own videos. I still think if worth trying. I reviewed all the products I had laying around my house which all already had reviews from other influencers and was still able to make commissions on some. I use fluencer fruit now to find products with very little competition.
@@steven_charles thanks for the response and advice! =] This means the comissions you earn through the product page (IF your video is added to the carousel) but then separately there is the comissions earned through your storefront, right? So I could upload any of my reviews to that one and direct my audience there and earn commissions as well?
@@saltandstoneknits Correct, you got it! 🙂 Your storefront is for you to promote to your audience. The commission you make promoting your storefront is considered off-site and the commission made from Amazon showing your reviews on those carousels are on-site.
Just came across this video. Great content. Is there no alternative to anonymous influencer? What happened to them? Would appreciate if you made videos feeling in those gaps like how you shoot and edit the videos for Amazon
Thanks for the comment. I don't think there is an alternative. They're the only ones I knew who offered something like that. The last time I asked, they said they were considering bringing it back but, that was months ago and still nothing yet. Great video idea! I'll definitely make a note of that and see what I can do 💯
@@steven_charles thanks. Also do you think it matters what you review for the first 3 products or are they just judging based on the quality of the review?
I have 500 followers on a different You Tube account than this one I’m on now. Amazon influencer program told me no. How do I get a yes ? I was under the impression I didn’t need a million followers
With only 500 subscribers, I assume that this is probably because it's a new channel that isn't getting the type of engagement that Amazon is looking for. Amazon doesn't really say what metrics they're looking for, so I can't say what metrics you should aim for that would result in an approval. Do you have a TikTok?
I can confirm that it's true. I've had a lot sent to me already and I'm getting even more requests to review products since posting this video. Unfortunately, I can't really say at what point it happens. What I would say helps is getting your storefront out there ie. share your reviews on all socials so brands can find you.
Hi! I just realize it says "1. This video is in a language that is not the primary language of the intended store" I made the videos speaking in English and add Spanish subtitles. Is that something that´s not allowed? I cannot find anything in the guidelines regarding this.
Great info! I'm already approved for the Amazon Influencer program, but could you tell me what I need to do to get my videos approved so they are also shown in the marketplace?
@@steven_charles I finally figured it out and I just got approved! Thanks for making this video. Do you repost your videos on social media anywhere or just on Amazon?
Correct. You create content on TikTok, and when you apply for the influencer program, Amazon will ask you which profile you would like to use for your application and that's where you put in your TikTok profile.
I have seen some videos posted on products on amazon that says they receive commission. Does amazon choose what videos go there? I understand that our videos for a product wouldnt automatically be there for tbe product right?
It’s up to the seller. The seller chooses whether their product includes a video carousel. If they include one and there’s open slots, your video will get posted there. There’s also two different video carousel. An upper where the product images are and a lower one near the bottom as you scroll down. If upper is full and bottom isn’t your video will be included in the bottom.
Great video thank you. I applied yesterday and was approved for the influencer program. Your links aren’t working by the way. I know you mentioned briefly about earning commissions when a person watches your video and then everything in the cart is commissionable but it’s just unclear to me. So if someone clicks on my video, is that the only way to earn commission? Can it just be my storefront/product links? If someone clicks on my influencer link, would I still earn commission from everything in the cart? What If they don’t purchase that specific item that I promoted/have on my storefront? I guess I just need more clarity on how the link works and if there’s a time limit (like you purchase within 24hrs or something) and if those specific items have to be purchased as well. Hope I didn’t confuse you. Thanks for your help.
I guess I didn't really answer those questions in the video 😅 To answer your questions, if someone clicks on a product that you've reviewed, watches your review, and then purchases it, you'll get a commission on that product and every other product they add to their cart within a 24-hour period. And yes, it can be just from your storefront. If you share your storefront with your audience and they click on a product on your storefront, that starts the 24-hour tracking. During that 24-hour window, you'll earn a commission for any products they add to their cart, even if the product they originally clicked on isn't in their cart. Think about it more like a session. If a session was started by someone clicking on your link, you earn a commission on any product they purchase within 24 hours. However, if they click on a product from your storefront and then leave Amazon. That kills the 24-hour window. So NO commission there unless they start another session by clicking on your affiliate link again. Unless, they added the product to their cart during that session they start from clicking on your affiliate link. If it was added, they would have 90 days to purchase instead of 24 hours. I hope that clears things up a bit 🙂 and congrats on getting approved. Also, links should be working now. The only link that isn't working is the one for the Anonymous Influencer training. They've put a pause on it, unfortunately.
You can still apply using your FB or IG. You don't have to apply with only with TikTok. It's just most of the people I know that got approved did so with their TikTok.
Thanks for the video. Can you please clarify. I have a seller account on Amazon and I want to start an influencer one. Should I do it with my existing account, or I can start new one Amazon account for it? Does the influencer account is different from buyer Amazon account? Thanks again 🤗
If you go inside of your influencer dashboard where you can see the first three videos that you uploaded and the status, which should say "rejected". If you click on the manage button. You should see the reason why they rejected it.
@@steven_charles Hi! I just realize it says "1. This video is in a language that is not the primary language of the intended store" I made the videos speaking in English and add Spanish subtitles. Is that something that´s not allowed? I cannot find anything in the guidelines regarding this.
Good question lol... I honestly do not know. I'm sure there's no limit. If you don't like the product and it is within the 30-day window. I don't see why you can't return it but I wouldn't be buying products just to turn around and return them. I've sold some of the ones I don't care for on eBay.
On your phone, click on that center person icon (in between your cart and that star icon) and scroll down just a bit and you’ll see “your storefront” click on that and on the next page, you’ll see “see reporting”. Hope that helps.
I read if I apply using Instagram I would have to use a business account. So that means I would have to create a business Instagram account instead of just using my personal? And I guess I would have to change my profile from “private” to “public”, right? Thanks ☺️
A voiceover is just fine. You don't have to physically show your face. I have videos where I'm just holding the product in my hands or just showing the product with my phone without me in it.
I am not from the selected countries to participate in the influencer program but i was accepted into the program just today so do you think i can still get paid if i make money?
Can Amazon associates get paid to do video reviews of products??? I know we don’t have access to the storefront, but I’ve created my own storefront on my own website since I don’t have access to that as an associate.
@HollyCotter, every link should be working now except the training from the Anonymous Influencer. It turns out they are not offering their training at the moment. If anything changes. I'll come back and leave a comment.
- I’m not sure what Amazons guidelines are but for me , I’m a TikTok shop affiliate & I hardly , almost never , show my face . For me , the point of the video is the actual PRODUCT so I get good angles and focus on the product itself. Hope this helps !
So they pay you to make up good things about their products. I recently ordered something on Amazon and it was it was a complete scam I paid for it and they didn't even deliver it. When I tried to right a bad review they said we can't post you're review because you are not allowed to say bad things about the product. If this isn't a racket I don't know what is I won't be shopping Amazon anymore and I'll be telling all my friends/family about this.
That sucks! Sorry to hear about that. However, Influencers don't get paid to only post 'GOOD' reviews. I've got a few comparison reviews where I don't recommend a product. I think the reason that happens is because written reviews are reviewed by the sellers whereas the reviews from AI are reviews by Amazon. I have heard of Sellers denying/deleting bad reviews, so that may have been the case for you, maybe. I've never done a written review myself so I can't speak from experience.
If you are really making that much money, why tell everyone? Doesn't make sense mate! I have never known any business person on a winner telling the whole world about.
Well the Amazon Influencer program is not a secret. There’s thousands of others already doing it and if it wasn’t for someone else telling me about it, I would have never known about the opportunity so the best thing I can do is pay it forward.
You cannot be serious. Imagine if NOT ONE PERSON in this world taught anyone about, ANYTHING. You act like this man is charging you for the video. Be thankful there are folks out there helping others reach a goal by giving them some insight.
