I RISE interviewing our third candidate, Jamie, a 24 year old male. We are currently providing housing for Jamie and are happy to say he has been successfully employed and has begun saving his money. By the end of March we plan on having him in his very own apartment and fully independent once again. I RISE is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization led and embodied by students at Virginia Commonwealth University. Our goal is to bring homeless individuals to a level of self-sustainability on a one by one basis, with each new homeless individual who becomes a part of our organization being designated as our current "candidate".
This task is accomplished via implementation of specific, driven committee groups that are each aimed at tackling the designated areas of self-improvement for our candidates. All candidate transformation videos will be uploaded to this channel for a wider audience to see so that you can help make the next candidate's transformation a possibility!
