@@kieranbrown1151 he's not promoting it, and he wasn't paid. This video is NOT a promotion. The reason for this is because he is legally obligated to disclose this. All it would take is one person to call him out and he'd be under massive legal trouble.
@@williameldridge9382 He is promoting it on the sense of not publishing an honest review it doesn't matter in the legal sense of him not being paid by Samsung for an AD rather than a sponsorship. Anyway sponsoring a video in which you review one of their products already shows a lack of integrity and bias before the video even starts.
I do prefer the sponsor segments of LTT cause they'll still say bad things or not release the video if it's dishonest, but he was pretty clear that it was in fact sponsored and not a review.
Could you use hdmi and display port from a pc, use pbp, and essentially have 2 monitors with no center bezel? That way I could game in full screen and still have a second window for other stuff.
Can't a guy just be enthousiastic about a monitor that he actually likes? I agree that monitor land is quite boring (if like me you don't care about the refreshrate race) and this brings all the other recent goodness together. You don't give Jay a lot of credit here, also it's clearly mentioned it's sponsored?
@@alxndrassies He said Samsung gave away for him the monitor and he'll keep it as his home monitor so it is sponsored. He didn't receive a reviewing monitor (when they're receiving things for reviews they usually have to give them back after the review because that piece will be given to another youtuber for reviews).
I don't think he has enough test equipment to get really good data. But yea, he would have mentioned the history of this panel and tried the titles that has been said to have problems with the HDR. (If I remember correctly HDR on this monitor has a history of working fine for video and some games, but sucking with other games. And this is bizarre as there should be no difference between HDR for video and games, and certainly no difference one game to another. If HDR is active the screen should behave the same way no matter what. It has taken Samsung a long time to get to the root of this but there is a new firmware being tried that that fixes some if not all of these problems.) Still I kind of can see how it's easy to get overwhelmed by all the bling and features to the degree it's hard to think of anything negative to say. I *is* a sexy beast of a monitor...
have been using mine for a few months now and have had no issues. I do have one dead pixel but I can live it. The biggest issue I find is playing FPS games has a fishbowl effect but I figure that is due to code not hardware.
Jay - I own this monitor and it’s had a lot of trouble. The firmware is awful. HDR is nearly unusable. I noticed that you didn’t show the Windows desktop with HDR on. It’s terrible - there’s is a spotlight on the mouse and windows. Also, 2000nits only occurs in a small spot for a quick moment. Testing has shown this model’s peak brightness vs the OG G9 is almost always the same. The panel can go brighter, but the firmware hasn’t allowed it. I’d appreciate you digging into these topics and showing either ways to tune the display to “fix” the HDR or shed further light on these issues and put pressure on Samsung to resolve them. $2500 monitors should be “ready-for-market”. Unfortunately, in many ways the Neo is still in beta.
Watch the Hardware Unboxed video. A firmware update is on the way that will mostly fix the HDR. They show it side by side and the diiffrence is massive even looking trough an SDR screen.
My original G9 looked awful with HDR on desktop even windows 11 the Neo looks very rich in color and bright i am a AMD 6900 XT user tho the display performs worse on a Nvidia gpu
I have this monitor, HDR yes looks terrible, but switching local dimming off (I dont really see what it does, on = off when in SDR) with HDR it looks much better. You dont need to enable HDR on desktop anymore, windows will enable HDR automatically if you launch an HDR game.
If had 3 tries on the original G9 all lots of dead pixels from 3 down to 2 back to 3 yes 1 revived another popped up 2e 15+ holy shit no no no, then 2 down to 1 yes again revive event, and then whole screen black screened, first G9 Neo came in Doa 2e G9 Neo at store bright pixel safed me hassle cos i took pixel warranty! DO NOT BUY WITHOUT PIXEL WARRANTY IT SAFES YOU HEADACHE! now technically waiting for 6th attempt to get a screen from Samsung, freaking BS honestly there is no quality control you are the quality control unless you buy pixel warranty then its the webshop and there other issues as well not acceptable at this price point.
I have had the previous model for a year and a half. Best COVID purchase I made. There is a weird side effect; when I look at normal flat panels at work, they look weird to me, almost like a CONVEX shape
Interesting but that remains to be seen. It would be interesting to see if there have been any studies on this. Either way, more companies should invest in ultrawides, especially with FancyZones being integry into Windows 11.
@@nothisistoni its because the curve can force one eye do become dominant since there is no much eye movement on the curved one . On the flat one u can look bottom down and top right with more muscle engagement. The dr told me because of this my left eye was becoming lazy and the right one was overcompensating. Also on the curved one the glare is not distributed equally . If your window light source is one the right side then the glar will be distributed unevenly and one eye has to work more than the other . On the flat the glar it comes across all screen uniformly. The doctor told me has has most of the patient with blindness in one eye and lazy muscles from the ones who use curve monitors or have asigmatism I give up the curved one since 1 month and my eyes dont cross anymore and my stereo vision is stronger than ever(i have some neck pain though due to more head movement now , but better than becoming blind in one eye)
I just got myself an older non-Neo Odyssey G9 and I am loving it. I got it primarily for flight simulation - the extra wide angle provides better situational awareness. I am also taking full advantage of the PBP feature for work. I work from home and regularly have both my work screen up on one half of the monitor, and my PC screen up on the other half. I also regularly run screen shares over MS Teams and when I do that, I have my shared screen on one half and my own notes, the Teams window and anything else I need to refer to on the other half of the monitor.
Not sure what you mean. It is not 4K resolution, rather it is 5120x1440. It has almost as many pixels as a 4K monitor, but in a different aspect ratio of course, so if gaming at the full resolution the demand on your GPU is roughly the same as 4K
You forgot to mention one the more useful features of the PBP, which is running two side-by-side displays on the same computer and then using the graphics card to make it one display again, thus getting a seamless software divide of two hardware screens, this makes for some very interesting functionality like being able to full-screen content to half of the screen at a time.
Wait so can I play a game like Dead by Daylight (which only supports 16:9) on the left side in full screen and have youtube/discord/obs on the right? Or am I reading this wrong?
@@RonJeremy514 No. Windows 11 has a feature which has automatic templates for window positions on screens but that's it. If you use full screen, it will still take up the entire monitor. It doesn't have the power to make your monitor act like 2 different monitors, and having full screen on one while doing something else on the other one, unfortunately.
@@williameldridge9382 The point is that it doesn't look very bright for Jay himself to promote a product that has many flaws that's also been called out by other RU-vidrs such as Hardware Unbox. Also, it seems like these issues are also returning issues from their last G9 monitor so it seems like Samsung isn't improving atm.... $2500 btw.
I got the G9 (non-Neo) for productivity - in particular, a whole lot of excel spreadsheets! It’s amazing. In fact, once I got it I thought “you can’t have a screen like this and not game on it” - and so my virgin PC build started.
Dude it's amazing seeing a guy in a suit who bought this for "a whole lot of excel spreadsheets!" Be so blown away with a monitor that they felt obligated to build a pc to game on it
@@simon1852 I consistently game on mine (every day) and I use mine for work (lots of spreadsheets and multiple inventory/supply chain management systems) ...so I don't know what you're on about. My brother does the same thing but he works in IT/Network management
I have been watching reviews for this monitor for two days and you were the first person that pointed out it can do 2/3rd PbP. This is PERFECT for my use-case. I was going to do this through Windows PowerToys, simulated in software. But now I know I can do it with hardware, which is so much better!
I am a programmer and use one of these (well last year’s non neo model) as well as two 1080 vertical panels on either side. It replaced two 1080 monitors and was a huge upgrade since now I don’t have a bezel right in the middle of my view. Can never have enough screen real estate.
I own both the Samsung CRG9 (49" DQHD 120Hz) on my gaming rig and the Samsung CHG90 (49" dual 1080p 144Hz) on my wife's gaming rig. Both rigs previously had triple monitor setups and I, as you mentioned, got tired of the constant heat output of 6 screens (we live in TX, it's hot enough already). Trimming down to just these 2 monitors freed up a lot of desk space and a TON of heat overhead in our game room. Once we tried out the 49" ultrawide experience, I can't see either of us ever going back to multiple smaller monitors. Not having to constantly tinker with NVIDIA settings to enable/disable surround vision before/after playing a game is a massive plus IMO as well.
I have the Samsung CRG9 with Arctic Z1 Pro (Gen 3) monitor arm and I'm very happy with it. I moved from two displays and a dual monitor arm. Even just going from that huge arm to this one made a big difference.
@@williameldridge9382 my rig was still using triple Hanns-G HZ281s that I bought on Black Friday 2012 for $720 for the set of 3 up until I bought the CHG90 to replace them in ~2018. Those 3 Hanns-Gs then moved over to my wife's desk to replace her mish-mash of 1x 27" BenQ monitor and 2x 24" Samsung monitors to give her 3 equal sized displays. Then, for Black Friday 2020, I bought the CRG9 to put on my desk and move the CHG90 to her desk and get rid of the Hanns-Gs completely. At 95W each, the Hanns-G triple setup was a space heater by itself, let alone our 2 PCs also dumping out heat into the room.
I like your content but I think reviewing a controversial product like that requires a lot more research about it first and a lot more testing and benchmarks. I would leave such things to Hardware Unboxed - they know how to review monitors, that’s their bread and butter.
I mean Hardware Unboxed said it's an excellent monitor that is nearly perfect outside of some weird HDR brightness issue that can be fixed with firmware soo...
I bought an Odyssey G7 and it ended up having a bunch of issues. I wouldn't recommend any Odyssey monitor as they all have similar and well known problems.
Havent had any issues with my original G9 yet. Some games dont play nice with 32:9, but windowed mode solves that. Because of it being VA and curved you have to have it at the right distance from your face, otherwise it will somewhat distort the picture
How come we rarely see driving sims being showcased on monitors like this one? I mean why would I want to see ONLY a fps game for the FOV advantage? I thought I might see Jay playing American Truck Simulator in cockpit mode to showcase the amazing driving FOV on this panel. It would have been perfect!
I have the previous model. I like it over all, though in most games it does stretch the 1/4 of the screen on either end. That isn't caused by the monitor, but the game. The monitor stand is horrible for taking up your desk. I went with the ergotron arm and made a huge difference.
This video needs a follow up. I know the target audience are big spenders with this item. But its just so cool. I want to know how these use cases feel after the long term
I use a 32:9 monitor for CAD and work. It’s fantastic for having 2 monitors side by side and you can clean up a lot of space very quickly I can have 2-4 pdf’s open on one side, my CAD software, and a my email open all at the same time. It makes productivity really easy. Is it the same as 2 physical monitors? Yes, but it takes up much less space.
I have a friend that uses his previous model of this one for work and games. He split his monitor for a 21:9 on the left and a 4:3 on the right and he's pretty happy with it. He's an IT tech
@@mrs_radrod we have two 16:9 monitors at work, and with CAD open, and a few PDFs on the other monitor sometimes it is not enough. Especially if you have your layers and properties, some PDFs, mail and let's say an excel sheet on the other one. Since I have 3 at home, I think this is the right amount. Main CAD window in the middle, CAD properties, mail, PDFs etc on the left side, and layers plus even more PDFs etc on the right (if needed) and if playing with all 3, there is no gap in the middle, and a bunch of games (in fact, there should be more! please, devs have the multi- and widescreen people in mind!) support moving the HUD to the middle monitor only, too.
Jay's channel is more entertainment, I usually watch Tim's reviews from hardware unboxed for actual performance/calibration numbers lol plus Jay is so late that it could be out of stock by the time you seen his video 😂😂
I had a Samsung C27HG70, and while it was a beautiful panel, it shipped to me with dead pixels and a very annoying issue where (even with no video source plugged in) it would power on then back off for a few seconds before finally starting up for good. This caused me to have to reorganize my desktop windows and icons (though this is partially a Windows issue too). When I contacted support, their response was to have me ship the monitor across the country on my dime for diagnosis, which would probably take a month. Needless to say, rather unhappy.
I have a better, dumber issue: The OSD joystick doesn't fully work when the panel itself is warm/hot. This means I can't go into the options menu because "up" doesn't work for me. Thank goodness I've made the setup properly back when I started using it, because now I'm stuck with whatever settings have been set. At least during winter I can properly use it until it warms up lol. Most likely it's an easy to fix issue, but I'm really not in mood of disassembling it to see what's the faulty part. Safe to say though that whenever I'll buy another monitor, I'll avoid Samsung unless they fix their QA.
Got the same panel. After two and half year (so the warranty was expired), the pannel started to show weird horizontal line on all the screen. Some research later, it's common problem ... Samsung is only good for two things : Planned obsolescence & Marketing
You should have returned it and got a replacement. No reason to deal with the manufacturer because of the bogus crap of having to send it back on your dime.
I have the older G9 that I bought nearly a year ago and Jay is right about reducing eye strain. I notice the flat panel at work feels very strange and difficult to look at in comparison now.
This would be amazing for a sim racing rig! Have the camera on cockpit view without the wheel in the picture (because you'd have a wheel IRL), and it'd be as close as you could get to IRL without going VR lol.
Huh, seeing all this talk about the g9 and I've had no problems with my g7. Guess I was lucky? Hadn't heard anything about it. If there really is quality problems, perhaps jay taking it home as a daily driver to experience it himself might be interesting to see if he has a problem with it long term.
I’m right there with you, I love my g7 I had no idea about all of the issues and I thought I researched it pretty well, I think that even a really knowledgeable tech guy like Jay just gets excited before thinking the worst of the worst from a company and being a positive guy. If he’s gonna be using it I’m assuming he’s not just being a shill but who am I to know for sure.

I have the previous gen of this display and absolutely love it and use it for 2 different computers (mac and pc) for use separately or simultaneously using the PBP making it super useful and stunning. Thanks for actually showing this feature off that most reviews seemed to completely ignore or gloss over
Would like to have monitor like this, planning on getting one for the content creation just like Jay shows 11:50, but I know because of the stupid Windows 10/11, something will go wrong with the recording software, or game itself and it will be a living hell recording anything. Anyways still detailed review when it comes to modes and how you can use them. Have checked other reviews and they all tell how wonderful it is when playing 32:9. No one tells how a content creator would use it. Good job Jay!
4K monitor + DisplayFusion. You can control your windows however you want and there are no bezels in front of you. Also, one click and you can still maximise a window to the whole screen if needed
I have the non-Neo Odyssey G9 - absolutely *LOVE* it! Use it during the day for work (enough room for 3 full vertical workspaces), and then at night it's the most AMAZING gaming monitor! Playing MMOs and open-world games it's just unbelievable how immersive this thing is!
I’ve had the initial version of the G9 odyssey for about 3 months now and I’m still absolutely in love with it. I play my PS5 on the left side of the screen and run my stream on the right side of the screen. I haven’t had any issues with tearing or dead pixels or anything major like that. The only negative I have with it is that that aren’t a whole lot of games that support the ultra wide gaming just yet but they will come and the games that currently support it, look incredible with it full screen. MCC is one of those games and it feels like a whole new experience.
I've had mine a year now and it's fantastic for sim racing. Mine has some QC issues, such as scanlines on the very top left corner. It's very noticeable with orange colours like the reddit logo. They are really only noticeable on the desktop, not while gaming so it doesn't bother me.
This seemed like a ridiculous screen setup and then I remembered that for 3 years my work setup was two horizontal 16:9 panels on monitor arms next to one another. This cuts out the middle man and just recreates that setup, curve and all, without a break in the middle.
@@arklight1670 Think again. I'm running similar monitor with a Geforce GT 1030. Games well enough, not at the very highest settings maybe but definately good enough to play with.
Leave the monitor reviews to HUB. They do gods work over there. The money they are charging for this with the amount of QC issues its having should be illegal.
@@kaldo_kaldo I've got a pair of $400 MAG274QRF-QD monitors, they kick ass. They require a bit of real estate. There is nothing inferior about that unit whatsoever. I still don't know what the big deal is with the curving screen phenomenon. That's a major bother to many people. If it wasn't they'd be outselling the traditional flat panels.
I bought this monitor to do engineering drawings at home because I have now started working half the time on-site. I moved my company's two 22" monitors to my office. I want similar or better monitors than my company's monitor so I ended up buying a Samsung Odysseus G9. I like it 👌.
Got a "non Neo" G9 and it is awesome. I use it for software development (multiple IDEs, Browsers) and gaming. The curve is just perfect and so relaxing for the eyesduring long sessions. When gaming it is mindblowing how immersing games get. I would compare it to VR if you are really focused. Some people may get sick on fast paces shooters. There were no hardware quality issues but it took some firmware versions to get it running in 240Hz + HDR in combination with RTX30XX. Also there are (still) some sporadic wake-up issues where you need to turn it off and on again. I am not sure how the original G9 compares regarding heat, but it really heats up the room and radiates heat towards your face (you feel it on your skin). During summer this may be an issue for some people.
Mine will arrive by EOM. I'm really looking forward to having so much more screen space. I do a lot of cyber security stuff and have a ton of stuff open so this will help a ton. Additionally, I'm a gamer so this is another area where I expect this to truly shine. While I don't expect it to be perfect, it will certainly be plenty useful for me use cases.

I got this exact monitor about 5 months ago. I use it between my work and desktop computers with a keyboard and mouse that shifts between the 2 i love the PBP. My only complaint is some games are not designed for this aspect ratio so so I have to lower the size. I was not happy with the contrast and look until I played with the settings now i cannot get enough of how beautiful everything looks. Games that do support the ratio are amazing i feel like I'm in the game
I used to be a Jay Fan Boy, but it just seams he is in it for the money and does not really care about his viewers. Not only is he very late on this review but no where does he mention the many issues with this very expensive monitor. I used to take Jays word, but now I always see what Steve or other content creators say before I make a purchase. I can remember the massive cooler fluid, where he even got bit by it within 6 months. Come on Jay, came back from the dark side, we really want to trust you but at least for me, you will have to earn it back.
@Balakeh Congratulations another person that doesnt realize money doesnt make you the least bit happy. Say what you will but taking money to promote known trash is pretty shitty especially when you already have 3 mill subscriber money.
@Balakeh Congratulation on not knowing how to run a business, if your customers, in this case viewers can not trust you, then you risk loosing your customers/viewers.
I have a 34" Samsung that does PBP and love that I can use one side for my computer tasks and on the other side I have a google chromecast tv for watching shows while i work! Super nice feature to have.
LG's 49 inch monitor does a better job of PBP and PIP because it also lets you use a single keyboard and mouse across both computers. That means you could have both a gaming desktop and a rendering workstation connected to a single monitor without the need of a KVM switch. And LG also lets you do this if you want to stack two monitors and have each system use it's own display. Monitors with built in KVM are just awesome.
Jay....I just got my Neo G9 and this monitor is amazing. Not just in gaming but it changes the entire look of your PC into something you've never seen before. Get your setting right and even windows Dynamic HDR just blows you away. From the colors and contrast to the depth of everything you see is just remarkable. In your words It's fucking awesome. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. I've never seen a monitor so absolutely fucking beautiful before. All other fail by comparison.
I have this monitor and use it for personal and work and I LOVE it. Looking to get a second one to replace my 2-24" monitors and have two of these stacked.
I just want a very nice 32" 16:9 as my primary and decent 32" as secondary. Seems like the MFGs are focused on the 27-28 inch 16:9 screens or these curved monitors.
I have that setup, two of the exact same 32" monitors. Does absolutely everything needed and if I needed a third monitor for watching chat I can always get a small one that's as wide as the main is tall and have three monitors, two of which can be shut off when not being used. And I don't get the "clutter" Jay was talking about, they make dual and triple monitor vesa mounts that's fully adjustable to get the proper viewing angle between them and one mount post that you route the cables through.
@@bigchewdb Thanks, I took a look and it's close to what I want but too much of the cost is due to color accuracy and too little towards framerate, even though that monitor certainly fits the description of "very nice". I'd like 240hz refresh rate or higher (done right) before replacing my 28" 144hz 1440p monitor. I'd be willing to pay $650 or so for such a monitor, maybe in a couple more years there will be something for me.
The picture by picture functions is why I would buy one of those screens. I have my work laptop connected to my 21: 9 screen and I have another 16:9 connected to my PC to play music and watch youtube while I'm working. I also have the 16:9 connected to some game consoles.
I'm always looking forward to find out how i can upgrade my gaming experience, after having vr, a racing sim seat, flight sim seat, and my most recent purchase: an rtx4090, now comes the time to upgrade the panel i'm playing on. 1440p 144hz seems like its limiting the capabilities of my current computer. And i think we have a winner with this one. 5k res, pbp and pip, 240hz capable.... yes this will be replacing my current double screen setup.
How many dead/stuck pixels there were on this panel since get go? I had g9 before neo came out and I would never ever recommend this panel to anyone for daily use. Buggy and defected product
I use this with a single PC. I have both a Display Port and an HDMI plugged into my GPU. When I’m using the PC for productivity I turn the PBP on and the system reads each window as a separate display. This allows you to full screen windows on either side of the panel without them trying to span the whole display. If you want a game or app to run in the full 32:9 you just turn the PBP off.
I’d sim race with it. It would give me a wider display with no bezel or trouble of running triples. I’d also put it on an arm to swing from my sim rig back to my desk for fps games.
That looks so stupid lol. Can't see any practical use for that for average consumers. Maybe that monitor will find a space in some commercial or industrial use. Every game would have to have a fully functional windowed mode for this to be practical
Of course, this is the $3200 model... If only I were one of those people who can drop $3200 on a monitor. the regular G9 is $1500... Much more obtainable.
I'd see this as ultra wide in the middle for a main window, and the random stuff left and right (discord and a webpage or whatever I need) I feel like it's better than having a monitor center and another to the side. But the price hits hard on this one, I guess I'm not the demographic.
i have got the 43'' version thats not the G9, but i use my chrome or game i or whatever im doing in the middle of the screen as a normal 16:9 with discord and spotify on each side sandwiching the game or the application running in the middle at 8:9 each! So happy with it!
I have the original G9 since February 2020, and I can tell you without a doubt, that the vent in the back does not get particularly warm. The screen itself however, gets blazing hot after long gaming sessions, with HDR OFF and brightness at 60. Other than that, my particular monitor is great and I wouldn't trade it for any other model.
“I said monitors suck lately, so let me review a display less than 0.1% of you will ever get to experience much less buy because I was given it for free by one of the largest display makers in the world.” Nice
All I can say is... you get what you pay for. You can't expect a specialty, low production device to cost the same as a commodity one. You can't expect a 240Hz display to cost as much as a 120 or 60. You can't expect a double wide to cost the same as an ultrawide or 16:9. You can't expect 1440p to cost the same as 1080p.
@@kaldo_kaldo wasnt the point of my comment, which was blatant cynicism I will admit, but I agree with your statement…I would have anyway, this isn’t a new concept
Just had my Neo G9 & 3080ti arrive yesterday & this video has been a fantastic help to using it fully. Going to take me a few days to fully get used to it, but I will do no doubt very quickly.
Using it right now with my 3090FTW3 and 5950x. I have no issues at all with this monitor. Gaming on it is an absolute dream. Especially games light Flight Sim X or Forza Horizon 4.
This is probably the most disappointing content I've seen from Jay in years. The monitor (and firmware) is a rushed cash grab and a few minutes worth of research makes that abundantly clear. That Jay so often makes videos espousing his concern for the end user in light of other companies trying to fleece consumers and then releases this is _really_ offputting.
@Progo Yep, totally understood there. Everyone's got bills to pay; I'd just hope he'd pick the sponsored spots more wisely. The Neo G9's got too many issues to put his name/credibility behind.
I agree. I've been watching for years and thank Jay for getting me into PC building and the content surrounding it on RU-vid, but, having watched since 2016 this is a real shot to the integrity of the channel. This falls squarely into "I'm not mad, just disappointed" territory.
His response on twitter boiled down to "I personally suspect people are using poor cables blaming the product" because they experienced odd issues themselves with improperly rated cables.
I appreciate the review. My husband and I are gamers, but just to add some thoughts on functionality - I am a PhD candidate, and while doing research and writing papers, it is really nice to have multiple articles up at one in addition to a working document. And for someone to spends hours a day reading on screens, not having the same level of eye strain is a nice bonus.
As a 21:9 owner I find ultrawides WAAAAAY superior to multiple monitors. 32:9 sounds sweet. A 1 meter radius is a bit too much though. Even you have it on that desk at about 0.7, and that's exactly what it naturally should be.
I have had an Samsung G9 49" since January and it's been worth every penny apart from the useful everyday features I have MSFS 2020 ans it rocks using this monitor.
Thank you Jay for this video. I had to laugh at the comments about this monitor. The Neo g9 is Samsungs 3rd version of this monitor. The original g9 did in fact have a lot of Q/C issues. I currently own the 2nd version of this monitor for 5 months with no issues whatsoever. I sincerely wonder just how many of your subscribers actually own this monitor or own a PC that can take advantage of its full resolution at 240Htz. Many of them I'm sure have seen Linus take on this monitor and various others. However to judge this monitor and video because Samsung sponsored it , is foolish. Great job Jay...

He's never done in-depth reviews of monitors and you shouldn't expect it from his channel. If he experienced any issues he would have talked about them.
Im still happy with my samsung CRG9. It only does 120hz but works just fine for what I do with it. To anyone who doesnt know. If your gonna be using these monitors for gaming your going to need a higher end gpu to run it properly. I havent had any issues with my monitor. Works great for me.
I had the crg9 120hz. Was playing mainly on forza 4 . Loved it! Then I bought the g9 240hz. To be honest I didn't notice much of a difference. Both look amazing. Both have pretty much nearly identical specs minus the hz difference. When it comes to gaming I would say the extra money cost from 120hz to 240hz isn't really worth it unless u got money to blow lol 😅. But I'm very happy with my monitor for sure 😁
