I don't think it was an issue of new agents, I think it was a case of stupid agents who fancied themselves as slick as snot . The SAC knew that Mr. Gravano was too smart and too wise to the 'game' they were trying to play and that not only would he not fall for it , he might feel compelled to shut down due to feeling insulted .

Hey Sammy, I know how the nosebleeds can get. Back in high school my sinuses got dry in the summer and I sneezed. Started gushing like a faucet in the front office bathroom for an hour. Kept accidentally pulling the blood clot out, felt like a chunk of my brain coming out or some shit. Happened 3 times and by the time i finally stopped bleeding It looked like I committed a murder in the bathroom. Blood was all over the walls, the toilet, the sink. The counselors came in to check on me and gasped in horror. They had to send the custodian in to disinfect the place. Another time my buddies and I were walking down the street by my school and my big hulk of a friend makes like he's gonna hit me jokingly but I walked right into his fist and bled like a stuck pig for another 30 minutes on the front steps of a dominoes pizza place. Both times I turned white as a sheet and almost passed out. Never quite had to go to the hospital for it but that time at school was close. Hope you feel 100% soon

Exactly. Sounds like a “credibility assessment” was being conducted on Sammy. It would be interesting to hear the agents side of some of this. I know Pistone has mentioned a story or two about Sammy’s time at Quantico, but those stories were off the cuff on unrelated podcasts.
