I'm so pleased Ellie spoke up about pockets because it is only women that will understand this. Apparently we dont get to have pockets , only the promise of pockets!
I’m so sad I didn’t manage to get to see ride! I hope it has a further life somewhere!! I loved Benjamin Button at the elephant! I also loovveed Operation Mincemeat! Such a great show! Still listening to the cast recording! I’ve also been to Stratford upon Avon and been to Macbeth at the rsc
Yes Ellie! Pockets on women's clothing are abysmal, and it's so annoying especially when you end up with trousers that look like they have pockets and they turn out to be false pockets! Anyway onto more theatre related stuff: I loved Ride, saw it a few days before you did and it's one of my fave shows of the year for sure, it and Operation Mincemeat are duking it out on the daily as to which is stuck in my head today. I won the Mincemeat lottery this week, which was a big surprise because I never win them, so I'm going again on Saturday, Holly Sumpton is going to be on as Monty and I'm super excited to see her, I've only seen Christian Andrews out of the four covers so far, so looking forward to hopefully seeing all of them at some point or other! You got a very rare show with Holly and Geri both on! I went to the RSC on a school trip once, I think, we saw Macbeth as that was our GCSE English play. It was good, far as I remember anyway!
Just saw Ride this week. Really enjoyed it - will have to live through you for LOTR, would be amazing if this could get a life in London again in the future. Can't wait for the review!!
I was in London for a week just gone and I was amazed by the lack of advertising for Operation Mincemeat - literally on the side of 1 bus I saw but nothing on the Tube or anything! Compared to A Strange Loop which was everywhere, it was noticeably absent - you’ve done a better job promoting it than anywhere in London!
MickeyJo, I’m a brand new subscriber (from the U.S.) to your channel, and, like you, I happen to love Broadway/Theatre content! I did not know you were a theatre critic in London, so I must say, it is such a pleasure to be a subscriber to your channel sir! Keep going my friend! Quite looking forward to seeing your latest content. Thank you so much for doing what you do here on RU-vid.
Such a fun trip, again! Love seeing the gang too, especially Ellie! The Lord of the Rings show looked like a wonderful show/experience! But of course for me, the Ride segment was the best! I have already watched the curtain call several times! About every 3 or 4 years I fall in love with a special show. The last was Come From Away. I am forever grateful to you for introducing me to this show! I so wish I will some day see this new version where their relationship is more defined 🥰 Probably not unless it comes to the US. I see this as the first Broadway show to star only two women...and win some Tonys!🤩 I wrote to the Ride Instagram site to see if I can buy a program and poster, I sure hope so! Oh, Ride also earned more "heart points" with me when you showed their buffet, looked like maybe all vegan and vegetarian food, fits me to a T!😍 I am now anxious for the Fringe reviews. I can't imagine seeing that many shows in a short period of time. So happy you are out there to share so much with us!!😘😘
As soon as I heard Lord of the Rings was coming back, I booked my flights. Dying to see it at the end of the month, and looking forward to hearing your review Mickey!
Great job, Lads, especially considering how Jet-Lagged you must’ve been! I never made it to Stratford in my travels over there! Can you authoritatively confirm that there was, in Fact: a Whole Lotta Shakespeare Goin’ On?!?! Thanks!! 👍🏼🎉👏🏼
I’m heading to Lord of the Rings in a couple of weeks time. Loved the original back in 2008 at Dury lane and have listened to soundtrack many times over the years so very much looking forward to this production.
I just want say that, drink price is amazing, compared to broadway! Here we are talking around £19.10. I was seeing &Juliet for my 4th time and decided to get a double. It was £30.10! 🤯
it’s an abstract form of showing the leader of Germany during WWII’s face - the squiggle is his hair, and the words “operation mincemeat” are his moustache. i was also very confused for a while, it’s very abstract
I understand the pocket problems 😂😂😂 Although I wear joggers most of the time which are ok The female jean pockets are rubbish 😅 (Afab non binary human)
