That first brass looking candle holder is princess house and came with a globe.

The plastic cake topper you pointed out is vintage, I am 65 we had one when I was a kid. But there was a plastic bottom that looked just like the top.

Those pears really did look so real and tasty! I also liked the candleholder at 3:27. You always find such interesting things that teach us all something.

Julie lamps are very easy to rewire! So many good things at that GW. When you explained what a phone used to look like I laughed! I was at an antique mall and a child asked her mother what something was and it was an old black rotary phone!!

I laughed when you said ‘in case you didn’t know this is a phone that we used to call people’. When you were talking about the paper log roller I thought our grandkids will be saying why would someone have a lot of paper? We’ll have to explain that the news used to come on paper! LoL

I did a little squeal when you said that you were in Henderson, TX!! My mom grew up there! It's probably been at least 25 years since I was there. My grandpa Thompson passed away in 1978, so I was there for his funeral. Then I took my mom back for a visit in 1998, when she was 73 and I was 43. It's a precious memory for me as she reminisced so much about her younger years.

Just a thought, I would turn newspaper roller around so handle is against, turning handle. It would show up against curtain and looks and stands out better! Just an idea

I saw your Grace painting by your fireplace and I just had to share with you my crazy good luck. I've wanted one for such a long time. I live in a town of about 500 souls and my mom had a country restaurant - literally, in the middle of nowhere on highway 54 - for years and years and she had that in the restaurant. When she sold the restaurant she let the painting go with it. I've been looking and looking for one and a couple of weeks ago came across one on FB Marketplace. The ironic thing is it was for sale by my neighbor a block and a half away from me in our tiny town! It was meant to be! Thank you for your videos. I enjoy every single one.

I actually really loved the pears best they look so real and were a great price , but the jar set that did not have the price on it with all the lovely jars , wow that was just amazing.

See a difference to our Australian thrift shops.We have to have all the electrical goods tested and labeled as electrically checked ,signed by a licensed tester and working so most thrift shops no longer carry electrical since licensed testers are few .No label, no sale. I do envy you by the huge amount of goodies you have to chose from .I can remember been given the job of rolling the newspapers as a child ,l also remember it’s not as easy as it looks.

the good thing is a newspaper log roller. people burned them in their fireplace which is a NO NO today, paper causes extra creosote buildup in your chimney. The bowl is a roseville pottery piece, from Ohio

Hi Julie..I was almost saying out loud..” Get the pears!!!” Those pears look just like the ones on my tree. You might have to put a sign saying not real. Someone will sink their teeth into them.. I would have got them in a minute. I loved that bowl so much. I did find one in yellow one on eBay. It is beautiful. Although that was not a Roseville piece that company was started in 1900. I am going to be on the look out for one. My husband and I went to Goodwill today. He usually does not go with me but found two dress shirts and the color was orange and did not realize til we got home they were only 2.25. Today is senior day and when I got home, realized I did not get my discount, but with the shirts being that cheap can not complain. They had brand new Eddie Bauer lightweight summer pants for men for 4.29…75.00 regular price ..still had tags. He went ahead a got a bigger size..none in his size . I will alter them. Does your Goodwill get clothes with tags from TJ Max and different places. Oh , the deal of the day was the cast iron piece. It is beautiful. You really did well today. I looked at our selections, but nothing like that for sure. There was an usual bowl made in Vietnam , but not my style. Thanks Julie. Your home is just getting more beautiful with every new find. If I only have 1 item it's like I can't be bothered or it's not worth checking out OR I'll also do the rendition where if I'm gonna buy the 1 thing then I may as well buy all the things with it to make it worth my while 🙃 make it make sense indeed.

6:45 I have that bowl, store my tea ball, wet tea bags in it to let them dry out before tossing them in the trash!---I'm glad you picked up the pears, I would have as well!---I hope you folks will try making the newspaper logs later this year! Would be a shame to let it sit idle!
