My 2016 vw Tiguan was burning oil a bit so I started adding Lucas oil stabilizer and liquid molly motor oil and it has worked great I do this every oil change

Hey bro I swapped the transmission in my fiancés car and ready to add fluid tomorrow. Should I do it the same way? Add fluid with car off when cold until it spills out then put the cap on start the car and run thru the gears for 15 seconds and then reverse then park and let it stay on until trans temp gets to 110 degrees then top it off again??
