@@juanwilliams6236 To be fair camera man was standing in the pit row and easily could have gotten in the way or hurt. They didn't appear to give him trouble any other time, and not all crews are happy to be on youtube.
Yes , your right doesn't make sense everyone is already there , too postpone till later date just offers another chance to get sick . Hope you make it to the reschedule race . Good luck 👍 John
I remember back in 2008 being in Ft. Benning (I'm from Utah) and taking a weekend to go try out a cart track out in the country somewhere. Turns out it was your (Josh's) house. Fun time, and your little brother has some cart skills!
Lap record... Josh frickin Herrin snatches the lap record! LOL! That's awesome, man. Well done. A little vindication after that test. I told you you were gonna be OK! I wouldn't worry about that penalty either. They are just setting the table for you to have even more fun WHEN YOU WIN. What you were saying at the end there, I was thinking the same thing. It does suck because you like to roll with mighty mo-mentum. But it is what it is. Just know that come October, you will be the man to beat. And that's a good thing.
Any chance we could get some onboard cameras?. There are barely any onboard cameras for professional racers and I think it would really add to your videos if you commented your races and what you are thinking while you are riding. Idk if you know who alberto naska is, but he's an Italian amateur racer and the way he commentates his racing/riding is really interesting and makes his vids super cool to watch
I love how Daytona has painted the grandstand seats all sporadic colors to make it look like there’s lots of people at the speedway when hardly anybody comes anymore. Looks good on TV though. Even the Daytona 500 can’t fill the grandstands like they used to.
As a bike racing fan from the UK I'm always surprised how few fans there are at ama superbike races. (I'm talking under normal circumstances, not during the covid period) The 200 is a bucket list race for me. I always wonder why they don't just let the fans in for free. (And maybe make their money by ripping them off with food prices) The event takes place during bike week, so there are already 100s of thousands of crazy bike people there. Make it enticing for them come and see the racing. The track and the stands should be filled to the rafters.
@@the_releaser yea,I’ve been to the 200 starting in 69 and went many times in the 80’s and 90’s. Great years. Eddie Lawsons win and Scott Russel’s many wins I was there for,but even in those days the stands were practically empty. Motorcycle racing is not popular with the general crowds in the US. Hell, even NASCAR has seen the general attendance fall off in the past 10 years. A lot of the reasons NASCAR has fallen off is the tickets and costs to attend have gotten out of hand. Greed by promoters and NASCAR its self have pushed people away. In the US Motocross is way more popular than any Roadracing event. Plus I haven’t seen a bike race on TV in ages, you have to subscribe to an internet channel to see a MotoGP race and only the die hard fans will do that. America just isn’t the big fan of bike racing.
Really enjoy the videos, great insight. Such a bummer they canceled last minute but I guess we gotta do what we gotta do if we want to continue with Daytona 200 next year lol Congrats on the lap record
Got hooked on MOTO GP and avoided super bike for a long time but then I discovered Josh Herin and now I’m all caught up on super bike Incredible rider he just needs to be on a factory ride
The rules have changed too many times in your career. I've been watching you since you were a pup! No matter what you seem to arise to the challenges. Good up on you Josh!
That was a bummer. These are unprecedented times. I've watched Josh Herrin back in his AMA SuperSport days at Mid-Ohio to his personal kart track in his backyard and on. He is one of the most talented riders of our times...PERIOD. The guy is fearless and extremely driven. When he's on the track it is like a switch flips and he becomes a crazy focused amazing racer. Best of all, he is such a down to earth guy, unlike other arrogant maniacs in the sport. This guy is just plain coolest of the cool, like a Joe Cool from Peanuts. :-) No worries, come the fall this guy will do it again. Nothing stops him. I want one of those black camo #2 ball caps. Where can I get one?
Alpha R I could be completely wrong Bc I’m just talking outta my ass, but I’m thinking maybe the camera guy wasn’t allowed to be out there in the pit and “on the track.” Like maybe only the race team staff were allowed to be out there so he was telling the camera guy to kinda keep it low key so a marshal wouldn’t kick him out or something.
No not at all it’s probably his friend recording Nd he is technically in front of the bike while it’s being worked on so he told him to step away NO DISRESPECT WHATSOEVER😂😂
@Cadin Nelson....I agree and thought the same thing. He is doing this for social media purposes likely and giving his fans an inside view of Daytona. I thought it was appropriate. Josh is in race mode also and is still able to directly communicate to the camera guy. You should've seen me and others before a race....you are very wound up.
You’ve been there for two days with each other it can take up to 14 days for symptoms to show up, Daytona should have told everyone to leave and go home. Stay safe ride another day.
Too bad how they did the races and bike week. This was a nice weather weekend too! I live about 20 miles from the track and this was gonna be the first time i was gonna stop in and watch the races. And it was dumb as shit that they tried to shutdown bikeweek on the last Saturday of the event. That whole shit was corny cause its like you said, everyone was already in contact with each other. Oh well.
This is the right decision. Wrong decision to let those people stay over the weekend. Florida has been the SLOWEST to take this shit seriously. Gonna learn.
Hey man quick question. The helmet i use i feel like lets in a ton of air when im at the track at speed. Is there a helmet you recommend or use that helps eliminate the amount of air getting in drying out my eyes or is this just nornal
There's always the Isle of Man TT. That's a Real motorcycle race... for Real motorcycle racers... bet you could hang right in with those guys... just my opinion but I think the AMA blew it this time. Just sayin'
@@jaysen192 I was one pound under the weight limit after the first qualifying session, so they docked me 6 positions after that session. My lap record still stands though.
Hit me up Josh this is a very decorated Veteran reaching out to you and like all Fans we like to know and ask about shit 😂and I have some real questions brother Not for no social media bullshit man I don’t do this Shit I just fuck with the RU-vid 😂👍🙏🤘
