That wool is gorgeous. Not just the color but the texture was so beautiful! !! I love this outfit!!! It would make a beautiful long cape or coat. So cozy looking!! Great job happy birthday to you!!!!
OMG snaps are the bane of my existence. I completely relate to that. The happy jumping when the skirt was done was so joyful and it looks so good on you.
Happy birthday! Obviously late, but it’s the thought that counts, right? Love the skirt and cape! I wish I could wear that color...it looks horrible on me. The wool looks so soft and warm!! Great work. Be well, and thank you for sharing.
Excellent sewing job and I like how you blended in nature as well. Beautiful bumble bee. Happy birthday to you as well. I hope you enjoy a wonderful celebration. ❤👍
New to the channel and enjoying - I like this color - I wouldn’t look good on me but its a pretty color - but love the design! Fabulous! Love flouncy skirts - I love to spin in them :) I love making belly dancing skirts this way but haven’t thought honestly about making me a twirly skirt! HUMMMMMMM
Just pulled a hand-me-down piece of wool to make a skirt from myself. I have been eying it all week as I was doing last minute stuff for a wedding this past weekend. but not now..on to a lovely skirt! Think I will try out some of these links.
The colour is stunning. I have a beautiful wool tartan garbadine, I orginally planned to be pants, but it is very tempting to make a skirt out of, after watching this. And happy Birthday.
I love them both! So perfect for Fall! Capes are so beautiful, I made one and want to make more. It’s a great practice for beginners like me. And Happy Birthday!!! 🎁🎈🎉🎂🎊
This was recommended to me as I am looking up many tutorials on making my first circle skirt. Amazing! Yes. No zipper. I shall do that. Also. Pockets. Now how to do the pocketsees. Thank you for the inspiration. Instant subscribe. 💜💜💜
So beautiful and you look really lovely in it. Happy birthday. I got a brownish wool from a stash swap yesterday and I am not sure what I'm going to make with it but after seeing your three quarter circle skirt I think I have an idea. I just hope there's enough - and I can match the pattern as it's a kind of check/plaid. Brown isn't a colour I would normally get but it looked like there was enough for me and it's going to be a skirt or trousers (not that I think there's enough for trousers)
I’m so excited to see this! I got some of the same fabric in a (few) different colors and was considering making a skirt from some of it, but wasn’t sure if it would work or be too heavy. Definitely planning to go forward with it after seeing this!
Please, please, please! What's your tracklist for the beautiful music you used here ?? I loved the skirt😊 Even through the video, I can *feel* how comfy it is. Happy birthday!❤❤
As a traditional clothing enthusiast, I felt so much pain when you choose to shorten the skirt instead of adding a small piece of leftover fabric at that corner. I know it would probably be noticeable on a skirt of that length. And matching a piece could have been too much of a bother for a short simple project. And the skirt looks gorgeous! But the pain.... :'''''D
Happy Birthday! Your skirt and cape are divine. I noticed that you and I have the same sewing machine and so I must ask ... sort of witchy spell did you use to change out its presser feet??? For the life of me I can not figure out how to attach any of the extra feet that came with the machine, save the metal one that was already attached to the shank. The Instruction booklet states to place the foot under the shank and release the lever until the foot snaps into place. Ah, nope. Any advice you could give me would be seriously appreciated. Thanks for making such inspiring videos.
Huh. Interesting. Ok, well, I guess I’ll give my local sewing machine repair place a call then to see what’s what. It’s almost like they included the wrong sort because no matter what I do I can’t get them to attach. Thanks very much for the reply.
Everyone is sewing full skirts and now I feel like I need one. This might be the one. I mean, how bad could drawing a circle be when we have the calculator! I don't usually do fitted waists, but WTH.
