Hearing this song brought back some of my favorite memories of my home church's adult choir when I was a child. They don't do it like this much any more! God bless you Bishop Willis!
He spent the last few decades of his life and he passed away in Chicago. However, he is buried in Grand View Cemetery, beside his grandparents who pastored the church he was born 'n' raised in, and the first church in which he started playing Hammond organ in, alongside those grandparents (Rev. and Sis Calvin and Laura Webb Albert) in Grandview Cemetery, Hannibal, MO. You can more easily find his FindAGrave (the virtual online Cemetery memorial page, where you can leave virtual flowers and a note of remembrance by first searching for his grandmother's name "findagrave Laura Webb Albert" Once you are on her page, click on the name of the Cemetery, itself, listed in the information. THEN (subtly doing this, you are narrowing your search through over 175 million memorial pages!!), you will be given a couple dialogue boxes below to enter his first and last name, "Philip" (with only 1 "l") "Willis" (with 2 "l"'s). Of course, you can do a general search on FindAGrave's main page, but it often returns dozens of non-related pages from world-wide searches, especially with more common names. The method I described to you will ensure that you have found the correct "Philip Willis".
