In this video, I am sharing everything about how I am building my own clients. I'm sharing what I use to make my business cards, flyers, and website. I created my own website myself with no professional help. I've had 6 customers book me directly through my website. I'm very grateful for the growth and success I've had by the grace of God. I just want to share everything I know, and hopefully, it will help some of you with your own business journey. This is info only and I am not promoting any of the websites and software I'm using. Others charge hundreds for this kind of information. You provided it for free and and were fully transparent. Please provide us with information on the kind of insurance if any that you use for your own deliveries. God bless you bro!

Information is everywhere just find it. Everybody always asking the same questions. Million dollar commercial policy to book loads and get authority, 300k is for carriers and big moving jobs. For apps keep your regular policy

Congratulations on launching your direct booking courier business! I believe that you don’t need an operating authority MC# because everything takes place within your home state aka intrastate instead of interstate. Do you have cargo insurance or can you bypass this because of the nature of the items that you pickup and deliver? Thank you in advance for your reply. Peace up and God Bless you and your family!

You should charge per mile. That’s what I do. It’s easier and simple because at the end of the day per hour does not work out especially in transportation.

I charge anywhere from 1.50 - 3.00 per mile. My costumers are well aware of my expenses etc

I do not. Thanks for the compliment. I prefer not to bring that type of attention to my vehicle. People see dollar signs on company vehicles. I prefer to stay unmarked and incognito.

I have a flat rate of $75 for most delivery jobs, as long as the drive is less than 25 miles. Moving jobs average around $150, depending on what I'm doing. As indicated in the video, the prices go up or down depending on the work itself, miles, and other factors.

How do you cover yourself, in case something gets damaged during a private booking?

That's a great question, I actually asked that same question on one of my videos, but no response from anyone. I do have 5k in cargo insurance. I believe that only covers the actual load during transport. If I for example, deliver a refrigerator into a customers house and put a hole in their wall, no coverage. I know there are so many types of insurance. Moving insurance may be something I need to get. To answer your question, I'm not 100% sure, but I will discuss more on a future video as I keep learning. I also have customers sign a Texas State Contractor Agreement form. It states that the customer assumes all risk during delivery and can not hold me or my company liable for any damage.

Congratulations from Baltimore MD. Do you have a DOT and MC #? If you are a 1099 are you required to take out commercial insurance ?

Thank you. I have a DOT, but canceled my MC. I had MC for most of last year but never used it. I have a video on that. In my state, you are required to have commercial insurance, but a lot of drivers don't. That's the risk they take. Most gig apps only require personal insurance and not commercial. I always recommend having your states minimum required commercial insurance just to be safe.
