This is what I’m doing right now lifestyle changes vs surgery and standard treatment. I’m opting for active surveillance and life style changes. Can you make more videos and update us on how your doing now and then- if you change your mind and do a surgery or what else your doing naturally etc.
It’s actually just really great to see 1 or 2 videos of woman’s who opt for active surveillance when the majority of videos on RU-vid are about the regular treatment.
Thank you for this video. I’m just starting my journey…I was diagnosed with stage 0 grade1….estrogen and progesterone positive….a month ago and my oncologist breast surgeon seems to be in a hurry to put me under the knife. I refuse to even consider radiation and hormone blockers but I’m feeling pressured. My genetic testing is negative for the cancer gene and she subjected me to more tests that came back negative except for the small area of micro calcifications. They are scaring the daylights out of me.
Hello im just a school student from Italy, i found this video cause my mum has a G3 DCIS (microinvasive, 8mm of microcalcification) i think that surgery and radiation are required for microinvasive, G3 and Comedonic Necrosis. Any cancer (or precancer like DCIS) is different, your case i suppose it's a low grade (G1 or G2) ductal carcinoma in situ. So it could be monitored in times before it become aggressive, but some G3 DCIS are preinvasive and super dangerous. Environment is killing us, hope you all the best, no one should suffer for this disease.
I'm so glad that you did well and sorted this all out on your OWN. This is a great story. My breast smashing biopsy actually spurred growth in my DCIS and now I have a huge lump that may be cancerous. So wish I had said no to that biopsy. You are an amazing example--so true about the bossy doctors and being your own expert. Brava DCISister!
