This video recaps the thrilling highlights from my 24 hour marathon stream dedicated to shiny hunting. Our mission? To raise £50 for the suicide prevention charity Papyrus. However, our incredible community shattered expectations, rallying together to raise a phenomenal £150!

Great video! Would you recommend shiny hunting? I played all original gens 1-5 and recently started getting into PokeMMO. The shiny rates are a bit intimidating and I don't want to feel like Im wasting time yk?

Thank you! Yes I highly recommend shiny hunting in PokeMMO the rates are very high but that makes it even more rewarding imo.

I mean shiny hunting is always "wasting time" you are never guaranteed to get one, but I will say after they have ruined shinies in mainline games I appreciate the grind in Pokemmo. Most people say with the odds it averages out to about 1 shiny every 100 hours of hunting, depending on the method. I have 350 hours in game and have found 1. It is good fun though, especially since you can sit and chat to other people in game while you hunt.

@@bakabaka73 As the rate is 1/30k base odds in PokeMMO if you are doing mostly efficent horde hunting you will get 1k encounters an hour so around 30 hours for shiny. Though each roll is seperate a new roll. Shunting in the newer games feels like such a joke imo.

@@kaijigames Yeah if you decide to horde it is definitely quicker, which is my preferred method. I agree about the new games, I do still enjoy a bit of casual shunting in the mainline games from time to time but normally after around the 5th shiny I get in a day it ruins it again. I have less than 100 hours in S/V and have like 40 shinies, but in Pokemmo I have 356 hours with one, but that one feels so earned. I'm currently hunting for my second so hopefully that will be soon (cope).
