Hip Hop is by Dead Prez from around the year 2000 (quite a militant song). Listen to the original and you will see that Ren and The Big Push really did make it feel new by fitting it into the reggae/ska beat.
Romain Axisa is a wonderful artist and fantastic guitarist. He was Ren's roommate as well as band mate. I'd encourage you to give him a listen. Also, "Hip Hop" is by Dead Prez.
Great reaction to this true GENIUS Really like the love you're showing him❤ Reacters are gaining lots of mileage out of Ren's content & it would be fantastic for him if you all start VERBALLY encouraging your followers to subscribe to his channel 🤔 It's disappointing to see Hi Ren, alone, has been viewed over 8m times but he hasn't even reached 1m subscribers yet 😮 Come on! Let's help him! Encourage your followers to SUBSCRIBE to his channel as well as your own. Cheers 👍🍻
Well at least Ren knows classic Hip Hop from the 90's. Thanks for the shout out bruv but how did you not remember I told you It's a song from Dead Prez from the year 1999. Billboard names it as one of the greatest Hip Hop songs of the 90's. not a freestyle or original rap by Ren. The Big Pussh also have some original songs that Ren and the group wrote that are 🔥😎🔥
Aaargh man I hope we can be forgiven for our lack of acknowledgement 😅 but this journey is just as much a learning curv for us in regards to what we hear and react to, so it helps when you put these sources of information out there for us ✌️💪
They're playing in Brighton! Most of the busking stuff is in Brighton because that's where they were all living and busking when they met. (Though Ren's originally from Wales!) It was nice to hear you talk about the fact that he's been working away at his music for a long time. A lot of people seem to think he's come out of nowhere, but the reality is that the results he's seeing now are because he's been grafting. Getting a break takes an element of luck, but keeping people's attention is another level.
The whole journey is what it's all about, the recognition is the reward for persisting and pushing through struggles and hard times that feel like they're never going to end, only have respect for Ren and anybody else out there doing this!!
Here is the link to Dead Prez Hip Hop - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oiusDE0KND8.html love the switch that Ren gives it to fit into their performance
Lads! As an Aussie who lived in your great Isles for 7 years you should be damn proud. Ren is one of the finest to come out of Britain. Ever. Great react and ResPECTA!
You're right, Ren is more than fire. He's an inferno. The whole band, including the electric guitarist Romain Axisa, are quite talented. You know Ren's feeling it when he starts scat singing. So much fun. Dead Prez's Hip Hop was part of the conscious hip hop scene in the late 90s. As with all the covers or medleys I've heard The Big Push do, they definitely put their own spin on it. You might like the original as well. Their "War Pigs" is also a great medley of Black Sabbath & a touch of Rage Against the Machine. I also like their covers of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)?"
He does such a fantastic job with this. I love Ren and the Big Push. They are all super talented stuff. You should check out the solo stuff by Romain Axisa and Gorran Kendall.
